★★★☆☆

The color of this tea is lovely and when adding a bit of lemon juice it becomes even more vibrant in color. The taste was a bit weak for me. It's very light tasting. I enjoyed it better iced than hot.

★★★★★

I was very excited to get to try this tea when it became available this time around. I found the flavor of the tea by itself to be fairly subtle, but after adding lemon juice to it to activate it's color changing properties I found it to be a very nice tea after adding in some sugar as well. ...And the fact that it is able to change color it half the fun and in my opinion makes the tea even more enjoyable.

I was really hoping to like this one because the color is beautiful, but it doesn't taste good to me. Kind of bland, and the smell is bad. It was worth trying for the novelty, and I will play around with it to see if I can make it work.

★★★★★

Absolutely magical. Flavor is well balanced between the lemongrass and blueberry flavor, takes well to honey and lemon juice to create the magic color changing effect. Very good iced.

I really wish I could have enjoyed this one. I waited two years and picked up a couple bags out of excitement! However I need to be honest with myself. I felt thst this fell flat; the flavor was not quite there, I do like to add a bit of lemon juice not just for fun but for flavor though.

★★★☆☆

Has a nice fragrance, but it is a *very* light floral flavor- definitely on the weaker side, on its own. Like a lot of blue butterfly pea flower teas, the appeal is in the presentation, having a gorgeous color to the tea. What saves this tea for me is that it makes a fantastic lemonade iced tea, pairing floral softness with the bright lemon, and makes for a very pretty looking drink.

I grew tired of waiting for this one so made my own with three ingredients-- Lemongrass, butterfly pea flowers, and purchased blueberry flavoring. Initially, I liked my rendition. After the novelty and newness wore off, I found my concoction insufficiently blueberry in taste. I'm glad I bought the real thing because the blueberry flavor is stronger. It is a simple but pleasant evening sip. I showed my nephews and niece the color changing trick of it too-- fun. :)

I enjoy this tea hot, but have forgotten and come back to it, was tasty even at room temp so would definitely work iced as well.

Color change is kinda fun, at least the first time.

This tea has been so much fun. Even my husband, who calls tea 'dirty water' likes it and has asked me to make it for him. We like it best with lots of lemon; that really brings out the flavor. Updating b/c Adagio asked me to - My husband had me order 6 bags of this the last time it was available. He still hates every other tea.

★★★★★

They were correct a few drops of lemon gives it a little more. Very mellow, deep blue gentle flavor. if you are like me, 3 or 4 rock sugar gives it a nice edge also. 7 mins at 212.

I'm still figuring out the best way to brew this to really bring out the flavor, but I enjoy how delicate this tea is! The lemon and blueberry complement each other well, and the color is very fun.

★★★★★

What a fun and special blue tea. The blueberry and lemongrass pair nicely but I still felt it was a little lackluster until I added a touch of sugar. I was surprised how much that changed it for me, the sweetness brought out the flavors in great ways, making Bella Luna Blue a new evening-time, caffeine free favorite.

I bought this tea for my daughter who is enchanted with the beautiful color and the magic of citric acid. She loves the fruity floral flavor of the tea. I find it to be rather bland and will probably leave it to her.

So much fun! It's a tasty tisane with fabulous color, and magical if you choose to add a little lemon and watch it swirl and change color in a glass mug.

★★★★★

Light and refreshing... add a scoop of dry ginger for a zing! Gotta Love that blue color - makes it so fun!

★★★★★

This tea was very tasty! It tasted like Fruity Pebbles to me. I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to enjoy it again!

'it had better be blue when it's done steeping', i said as i was preparing my infuser basket.

Needless to say, this blend did not disappoint. soft, sweet, remarkably tart before sweetener, and i kept sticking my tongue out expecting it to tint blue lmao

A lovely tea. Lemon and a slight sweetness from the butterfly pea. The coloring is beautiful. Only a little is needed for a good color. I usually add too much tea per water, making it dark. Thinning out with lemonade is delightful.

personally i found this to be not very flavorful. i guess it’s unsurprising, as the main ingredient is butterfly pea flower, which doesn’t taste like much. i’ll try it again with honey and lemon, and if that fails, i could make it iced and add it to lemonade. lovely aroma, but not much to be said about the taste.

I was a little wary because of reviews here. But I LOVE Butterfly Pea Flower teas, so I jumped right in and bought a package each for a friend and myself.

Since many people made statements about not tasting the tea, I brewed everything a bit strong, perhaps 2x per serving.

After my first cup, using an electric teapot pot, I got a decent light refreshing flavor. I liked it, it was blueberry and lemongrass and I only added lemon juice after tasting it. The lemon brightened the flavor, so I recommend it.

However, Inwas determined to get a full flavor brew, so I pulled out my crystal teapot got it boiling and simmering at a strong 212F and added the infuser while it was holding the temperature. As soon as 8min hit, I turned off the heat and let the brew cool down for 2min more, then poured a beautiful dark cup to my crystal mug.

The flavor was there, completely wonderful! I added a few squirts of lemon and a tiny dribble of cream to just barely add opacity. This was a most delightful drink hot. I sipped as it cooled, then poured another smaller cup with the same ingredients and added ice. Just as wonderful. I never felt like I needed sweetener, but I bet it bring a whole other flavor.

btw, watching the tea brew on the stove in the crystal teapot was like watching a mystical potion form. Barely blue through brilliant blue to deep indigo. Just wonderful.

Bella Luna Blue

I steeped for 8 minutes at the recommended temperature in approximately 11 oz of water with about 1.5 tsp of Adagio tea/rock sugar.

At first I wasn't sure what I thought of this tea...I was very pleasantly surprised.

Upon opening the package I was treated to a very pretty blend of purples, greens and tans, that smelled absolutely out of this world. Lemon and blueberry predominated the aromas. Upon steeping, the aroma faded a little, but that was more that made up for by the lovely blue color of the drink itself. Lemongrass predominated the first few sips, but blueberry quickly made an appearance and blended beautifully. It is a very sweet blend, that might not need any further sweetening at all, except for the sweetest of sweet-tooths. 😇 This is an amazing sip. Wonderful when hot, and, I believe it will be just as tasty cold. The fun color makes it even more fun. I have placed myself on the notify me list for the next time it becomes available. 5 stars from me.

Nothing very special in the flavor but the fun is in the color. I wish the lemongrass was stronger. The blueberry is also a bit understated.

I steeped this tea for 15 minutes to bring out the blueberry flavor. I really enjoyed the lemongrass and blueberry taste. I added a little lemon juice and sure enough the tea changed color but the lemon was too pungent tasting for me.

This tea was odd. In fragrance and taste it was very nostalgic and gave off a taste very similar to how Trixx used to be before they were made worse. Just add a bit of sugar and it's great.

I love the beautiful blue color. This herbal tea has a very refreshing lemon flavor with a relaxing aroma.

★★★★★

I wasn't expecting much from this one, flavor-wise. Herbal infusions aren't typically my cup of tea, mainly because they're...not actual tea. I honestly got it mainly for the color. What a pleasant surprise when I tried it and found that it tastes just as pretty as it looks! I love to drink it from my Star Wars mug, with milk added, and imagine I'm drinking the infamous Blue Milk. Haven't tried the lemon juice trick yet, mainly because lemon and milk do NOT like each other.

My daughter and I are enjoying this tea as I type this review. She loves the flavors of blueberry and lemon and the blue color definitely adds to the experience. I'm a little less enamored, but love that we can spend time drinking it together.

★★★☆☆

I ordered this for my daughter to try, she was eyeing my Bella Luna Earl grey and can’t have caffeine. I tried it last night and was not impressed. It has a nice blue color but the taste was too floral, kind of muddled.

★★★★★

I buy this every time it becomes available. It tastes amazing and the color change is just plain fun!

★★★★★

Just as good as the standard Bella Luna, in my opinion. I tried this tea at a friend's house and knew I had to jump on buying it when I had a chance-- no regrets on this purchase!

★★★★★

This is the most unique tea I've ever tried. Besides the intense blue color, the flavor is light and smooth. Although it does need a little sweetener, I found that honey worked better than the rock sugar; the honey let the flavor come through whereas the rock sugar just made it too sweet. I'm going to try it as an iced tea drink sometime later. I'll update this review when I do. This summer I actually did use it as a drink along with the strawberry lemonade and the peach bellini. Oh my heavens, perfect summer drinks. Delicious, refreshing and perfect with a couple slices of lemon.

★★★★★

The taste is really good and the color is magical. Always a good blend and it looks so pretty in a cup. Always a favorite to get both for the look and the taste.

★★★☆☆

I m sorry to say that I didn t like this highly praised tea. It was almost tasteless to me. The pretty blue color was the only thing I liked. I tasted it at different steeping times and from hot to cool temperatures and still nothing. Very disappointed.

This is a lovely, deep blue cup of decaffeinated tea that tastes like lemongrass with floral overtones. It’s an interesting tea to have in my evening rotation but it’s not quite as good as I had hoped, based on the prestigious Bella Luna branding.

★☆☆☆☆

Unfortunately, despite my excitement to be able to purchase and try the Bella Luna Blue, it was not to my taste. I tried my best to make sure I did not burn or oversteep, I tried to add honey and other things to see if it'd help, but unfortunately, it just tasted so medicinal and it was overwhelming. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this tea, which makes me very sad.

Herbal teas are not usually my thing, but I love this one. This tea is absolutely the best when cold brewed and mixed with lemon juice or lemonade.

This is a really light tea that I wasn’t overly fond of until I added lemonade. While the color-changing is fun to watch, the taste is better. Bella Luna Blue and lemonade combine together to make a delightfully refreshing cold drink.

I found the blue butterfly so I was able to order it this month! I have been eagerly anticipating buying this tea for months and I’m so excited I didn’t have to wait until next year. It’s a light, delicious, refreshing tea. The blueberry and lemongrass mix beautifully and make a stunning blue tea.

This tea was so fun! I brewed it in the IngenuiTea pitcher so the kids could watch it. Soon as the hot water touched the herbs, the water turned blue. The color deepened as the steep went on to a rich and dark blue. Once the tea was distributed, we added a smidge of lemon juice to each up and stirred it around to have the tea reach my favorite shade of purple! I was hesitant because lemongrass and I tend to not be friends. The blueberry flavor helped balance that out and this makes for a nice and relaxing cup of tea.
Being a homeschool mom, I used this as a lesson on pH for the kids and compared it to how hydrangea flowers change colors based on the pH of the soil they grow in. This one will be a regular buy as it is available!

The tea is beautiful blue color. My brew was on the weaker side as I didn’t want it too strong. It had a lovely blueberry flavor with a hint of lemon. I will Bree is stronger next time but I enjoyed the weak brew a lot.

So refreshing with a full body taste that doesn't leave a bitter feel like some lemongrass teas. I drink this in the evening when I am not hungry but have a craving for taste. It's worth setting a calendar alarm for the next time it comes around ;)
