It's an okay green tea. The vanilla was subtle, but it threw me off a bit while drinking. Will not purchase (though it was a free sample).
China green tea with pure vanilla. Smooth and cozy, like warm sugar cookies made with fresh vanilla beans.

It's an okay green tea. The vanilla was subtle, but it threw me off a bit while drinking. Will not purchase (though it was a free sample).
This was a gift I bought my sister. She was not impressed to say the least. She said she couldn't taste the vanilla at all. She needed more sugar than she likes to put in her tea. It didn't taste at all like a green tea should.
I didn't like this one very much. The vanilla and tea flavor compete making the overall flavor muted.
This tea is better blended with other teas (spiced green, especially), for me. It tastes sliiiightly artificial by itself? But it's not terrible, and is definitely drinkable.
This is my favorite tea. I love this tea by itself or blended as a base.
really great taste and not too overbearing in flavor!
This is a go-to tea for blending with other greens. The vanilla is pronounced enough that you definitely taste it, without being in-your-face, which wouldn't suit a green tea at all. I'm using it as the base blend for all my Star Wars mixes. Just don't oversteep, as the grassy notes of the green will become bitter if it goes too long.
This is a lovely green tea with just the right amount of vanilla to give it an additional smooth flavor and texture. Great on it's own or with any number of other teas!
I would really love to give this a higher rating. I really would. Ordering tea is a lot unlike ordering other things. Half of the time, something which sounds terrible will end up being my favourite, and the other half of the time the other situation will occur.
Unfortunately, vanilla green tea sounded fantastic, but upon actually drinking it, I didn't enjoy it. Perhaps it was something in the heaviness of the tea? It tasted like the bad qualities of vanilla, rather than the warm and sweet flavours I was expecting.
The fact that it mixed the bitterness of vanilla extract (that flavour, I mean, not the actual liquid. I cannot pretend to know how they got their 'natural vanilla flavour' and how it was added to the tea), with the vegetal flavour of the green tea did not do it any favours. I wouldn't say this tea is dreadful, but it wasn't for me.
This is wonderful for a green tea! The smell is very strong at first but the tea itself after steeping is just right. Really great with blends!
It's not bad at all, there are just so many other fantastic green teas that this one is unimpressive by comparison.
An interesting juxtaposition of the fresh green tea with warm vanilla. I really, really want to love it...but I don't.
I really feel like I'm eating a guilt free sugar cookie! the aroma of this tea is wonderful, and the flavor is soft, smooth and perfect!
A simple, lovely flavored green! It's not as strong as I would like, but the tastes go together wonderfully.
This is such a cozy tea! It's sweet but it doesn't taste sugary and the vanilla is just right. Even without green tea being a go-to tea of mine, this one was instantly a new favorite as soon as I tasted it.
At the outset, vanilla and green tea sounded like such an odd combination to me, but this is actually a really nice little tea. To the delicacy and lightness of green tea, it adds that wonderful warmth of vanilla. I might even prefer Adagio's vanilla green to the vanilla black tea (the latter of which is good also, but more traditional).
Perfect with out adding anything extra. Warm vanilla with earthy green tea.
Not enough flavor for me. It's definitely sweet, but I was expecting a little more of a VANILLA bomb attached to the green tea. It also hasn't been the best vanilla alternative for a couple blends I've tried as well.
Perfect on its own or blended with other teas. Comforting and not prone to bitterness if left for a while. Goes well with spiced greens or honeybushes.
An interesting and unexpected combination. The vanilla gives a sweetness and smoothness that the green does not have on its own.
It's a simple tea, very clean-tasting. I could have used a bit more vanilla flavor, but maybe that would have overpowered the green tea? Tasty nonetheless.
The smell of vanilla mixed with the smell of the green tea is a little odd but not bad. When steeped the vanilla is apparent, but i am not a big fan of how it tastes on its own. As a blender, this tea is magnificent and pairs well with green and black tea alike.
The vanilla is not overly strong, which is appreciated. There is a bit of welcome astringency. When iced, has a bit of 'cream soda' flavor.
Not exactly my cup of tea (haha), but it wasn't awful either.
One of the best teas I've tried from Adagio, even when compared to their Masters teas. The Vanilla is just such a perfect flavoring compliment. I'm about to order more after I finish writing this. Lovely.
The tea itself was alright but the vanilla flavor was very mild and in-genuine seeming. It does however smell very intoxicating.
Let me preface this review by saying I hate green tea. I mean, I really hate it. I've tried just about every green tea I've come across and all of it just tasted like dirt to me. No matter what flavoring was in the tea or what I added to it...dirt. But I love all things vanilla so I figured I would try the sample size. The scent out of the bag is amazing. Another review that described it as a green tea cookie hit the nail on the head. And when brewed...oh wow. I don't need to add anything to this tea. It's brilliant. Definitely doesn't taste like dirt!
Who doesn't love the taste of vanilla! Very smooth, lovely tea, goes well with light desserts.
The vanilla flavor is milder than in the black vanilla or vanilla rooibos teas, but still definitely there. the milder flavor fits well with the lighter body of the green tea. Smooth, light, and good either hot or iced, and excellent for mixing with ohter green or white teas (black teas tend to overpower this one in blends.)
I have really been enjoying this tea. I am new to tea and have been sampling them slowly. I don't know that it will be my favorite in the end but it is one of my 2 so far. The vanilla is very smooth and light, mixing well with the green tea. Its smells wonderful and is one of my favorite things about baby nap time.
Very delicate, smooth tea. I take mine with just a tiny bit of sugar or black. It smells much stronger than it tastes (which is nice).
I wasn't a huge fan of the vanilla black tea, so I was searching for a good vanilla tea for blending, and I found it! It can be a bit light so if you are looking for a stronger vanilla flavor I recommend the vanilla oolong. I also recommend using it for mixing instead of on its own, it is a bit to grassy on its own for my liking.
Subtle vanilla flavor plays well against the mild bite of classic greent tea. Delicious!
I loved this tea! It's not as strong as I usually drink green tea but it was very good just the same. I loved the way the vanilla blended together with the green very nicely. I am definitely reordering this in the future.
Not my favorite green tea, I like citron a little better. The vanilla might be a hint too strong for my taste.
The tea leaves smell like vanilla candy or ice cream. The tea itself is an unremarkable green tea with a hint of vanilla flavoring. The vanilla flavor got a little more noticeable after the tea sat for a while, but remained shy.
It was a good morning tea but I would like to know how to really make it pop!
Slightly earthy grassy green tea paired with a mildly sweet vanilla flavoring. I'm not sure these two flavors are the best combination here, but they could be good in blends. This tea is probably exactly what you expect, so if you like green teas with a touch of extra flavor, I'd give this a try.
The base tea didn't seem like quite the right match for the vanilla flavor. While the vanilla isn't too heavy, the tea's own flavor isn't robust enough to come through well.
I befriended someone dear to me because of Vanilla Green.
This tea tastes exactly what a green tea cookie should taste like: amazingly buttery green tea notes (think Dragonwell) accompanied by a warm, homey vanilla taste.
To be honest, flavored teas are not at all my cup of tea (pun intended). I made a cup of this one night to soothe frayed nerves and was pleasantly surprised. I shared it with someone in the college laundry room and we became instant friends.
Thanks, Adagio.
Blended with other teas, this is great! On its own, this tea is really not my thing. When you smell the tea out of the bag, it seems amazing! But upon brewing, the vanilla taste was coying and fake-tasting. For blending, however, I do recommend it.
When I think of green teas, I think of them straight or with berry or citrus flavoring. The thought of a vanilla green intrigued me, though. I'm really glad I tried it. The sweet vanilla among the grassy green works very well together. It's perfect when I'm craving something sweet but delecate.
This tea smells amazing when you open the bag. Upon brewing, though, it's a bit of a let down. The vanilla flavor doesn't match the aroma. I was hopeful but it was meh.
This is exactly what I'd hoped for: a good quality green tea with natural vanilla flavor. I have been making this as an iced tea with no sugar, but it still tastes sweet!
Wow! I was not prepared to like this as it seemed like an odd combination. The vanilla - which was strong and almost ice cream like in the bag - is very subtle in the brew. It certainly doesn't overpower. rather, it seems to smooth out some of the traditional green tea astringency. A new favorite, for sure!
I really like this tea because of its lightly sweetened taste, it blends really nicely with other teas if you want just a little sweetness without the sugar or honey aftertastes. At the moment I am enjoying it blended with a White Blueberry and White Peach. Very yummy!
I was iffy about this, but I thought I'd give it a shot. First cup I had was splendid, just added a teaspoon of sugar (which was actually more than enough). Definitely a perfect comfort tea.
The smell of the leaves by themselves is delicious, it is just gorgeous. But when I added water to it, the smell went rancid and had this very dark sour scent to it. The taste of the tea reflected that, and was quite bitter. Not entirely sure what happened :/
I love green tea, but this particular blend with the vanilla did not do it for me.
I really enjoy this green tea. It has a light taste and the vanilla smells lovely. Usually green tea tastes bitter to me, but a very helpful rep. at Adagio gave me some pointers on brewing time and water temp. This Vanilla Green is lovely.
