To be honest I really disliked this blend and I can't fully put my finger on why. It had a grassy taste at the back end that I found unpleasant. Even when I made sure to change brew times and temps, as well as steeping times... I could not shake the bad taste at the palate upon swallowing.

This is a great, affordable green tea. I will buy again

I got this as a sample, and so far it's my favorite green tea. I like smokier flavors, so this one is really nice- the smokiness doesn't overtake and pronounce the other flavors. Now, I don't have a thermometer, so I'm using older, presumably pre-thermometer methods of telling water temp. (Thank you, China), so I've only got an approximation of water temperature and I'm probably not getting the full effect of a properly brewed cup, and my taste buds are a little weird, but I taste a mellow, grassier note with the smoker finish. It's a very smooth tea. Personally, I really like those flavors, so I'm really enjoying this tea! I'm definitely going to experiment with brewing it longer, though.

This is an amazing green, with an almost smoky/vegetable flavor instead of the grassiness some greens can have. It's a dark flavor, better suited to cold weather than most greens.
★★★★★
This one was very good, it has a great flavor that is similar to gunpowder but fresher tasting, like it's not quite as harsh?
I loved watching the tiny buds uncurl while it was steeping too, a very therapeutic tea that's a regular order for me now!

Such a strong dark flavor. I like the strong taste. It is perfect when I need a strong feeling.

Not one of my favorites. Just seems blah to me. Maybe I will give it another go and change some things and see if I like it better...

This was my free sample (chose it just because I was running out of green and wanted something new). Doesn't have the grassy flavor found in most green teas, which was odd at first, but nonetheless enjoyable.

I tried this tea because the name sounded intriguing. It was definitely a good green tea. It had a gentle flavor, a bit of smoke, and was not as vegetal as other green teas (though I rather like 'grassy' greens).

This seems like a pretty standard green tea. I enjoy it surely, but I believe my green tea loving roommate will enjoy it more (I like black and chais, she likes greens primarily). It has a mild vegetal flavor and smell, but not enough to make one think of a plate of broccoli. It is smooth, however, I can easily see that oversteeping would make it bitter. I would recommend it for anyone looking to find a tasty and relaxing go-to green tea and who is a green tea lover, but it is nothing special for those who lean towards non-greens.

I'm sort of a sucker for any tea with 'dragon' in the name, and this one did not disappoint.
★★★★★
I have to admit, I tried Sleeping Dragon tea because of the name. When I smelled the leaves, I was afraid the tea would be too smoky for my taste, but when brewed it was perfect-- a nice full green taste.
★★★★★
A clean, crisp tea. I really enjoyed this tea, even after steeping three times! :)
★★★★★
It you like Gunpowder tea and will love this tea. It has a smoky taste.
★★★★☆
This is a good mellow flavor. I used more tea than I was supposed to need, but the flavor was fairly mellow nonetheless.

A pretty decent tea. I haven't had any loose green teas until now. I read the reviews and decided to go with this one and I was pretty excited to receive it in the mail, to say the least. When I first opened it, I was kind of caught off guard by the scent. It smells of hay. Fresh hay, stored in a barn, ready for a big bunch of horses. I almost gagged. It may smell good to some people, but not to me. I was saddened, cause I didn't want that to ruin my purchase. After brewed, the hay scent is still there. Once past it, with a some sugar, the tea is actually pretty good. It has smooth mild grassy flavor with a hint of smoke. I'll most likely try something else next order, but overall I'm happy with this tea. Just not the scent!

For a someone who is typically not a green tea drinker, I was pleasantly surprised with the taste of this tea. I don't know if I can drink it plain but it works really well in blends, from what I've found. It's not quite as grassy as other green teas, which is something I really appreciate.
★★★★★
Very mellow, Not seaweedy at all. I love this green tea.

I had never tried this tea before, but I am so glad that I did! It's perfect for relaxing after a long day... or even early in the morning after a long night!

Definitely a lighter, gentler gunpowder (which, for the record, is one of my favorite greens because of its strength). Sleeping dragon has a very mellow flavor, a light grassy flavor and smell, and is overall just a very gentle green. I can see this as a great 'gateway' for people trying to build up a taste for gunpowder.

I over-steeped it :( It said 2-3 minutes, but next time I'm keeping it closer to 2. Besides the over-brewed taste, it's awesome :) I would definitely recommend adding a sample of this to your next order.

I am used to drinking the tea blends more that I am just one tea. It was good, and even better once I blended it with green rooibos bonita.

I'm still not that into green teas by themselves unless they're very fruity. It's good, but I'd prefer it in a blend then by itself.

This is an interesting mix of flavors for a green. It has that grassy flavor as you sip it with smokey undertones as an after taste. The smokiness isn't nearly as strong as say gunpowder but is definitely there.

Delicate, but grassy green tea. Seemed to get smoother as I drank more.

This tea is a lot like gunpowder and smells almost identical, but it has a lot less of the mouthfeel and odd aftertaste. Slightly sweet and flowery but not overwhelmingly so, it's an okay tea in my opinion. I will gladly finish my sample bag, but I don't think I'll order it again.

Like a milder gunpowder. A wonderful cup of green tea.

The description for it fits it to a tea. (I like puns.) Smokey, but smooth and fruity. I definitely recommend it.

Very similar to gun powder, but I really do like this one more, though I can't put my finger on just why.
★★★★★
Tastes just as stated in the description. A little smoky, but not overwhelmingly so. Smooth yet crisp in the end. I enjoy Gunpowder, but I enjoy grassier green teas more, so this tea is a very happy medium.

Not bad, the flavor is a little weird-has kind of sweet aftertaste to it that I'm not used to in green teas,

Excellent green tea. It smells wonderful, and it tastes fantastic

This is my first experience with real green tea. I enjoy the careful sweetness of this tea. I've been known to forgetfully steep to long so I find that giving these leaves a quick 3 second rinse in hot water reduces the chances of a bitter cup.

I really liked Sleeping Dragon, but I only ordered a small sample! I mixed it with Gunpowder (half and half) for an unbelievable iced green tea for the summer. Yum!

Similar to gunpowder, careful not to over-steep or use boiling water as it may taste like blood.
★★★★★
Gunpowder green is one of my favorite teas from adagio both on its own and in blends. Sleeping Dragon is a smokier version of this great tea. This has a more toasty, nutty flavor than grassy green, but still lighter and brighter than any black teas.
★★★★★
Like a milder gunpowder. The leaves are much larger, and make a lighter tea.
★★★★★
This is vegetal, a bit smokey, and a little sweet, like a more mellow gunpowder green. It's nice to have a slightly calmer version!

I got this tea since I have been curious about the smoky taste that this and gunpowder have in the fandom tea blends. Although I found I'm not much of a fan of the smoky part (or the smell of the tea), the green tea part was actually pretty good! So I will certainly be checking out other green teas here.
★★★★☆
Light and enjoyable. The best part is watching the leaves unfurl and grow, very pretty! It would be great to steep in a small glass teapot. Nice sweet green, a bit vegetal, a bit smokey and a bit of a raisin note. Good beginner green tea I think, not too grassy or overly vegetal.
★★★★★
Ah, subtle yet smokey. Got a sample of this because I was intrigued and I can honestly say i'm glad I got it! It's even a lot fun just to watch it steep
