As a novice Green tea drinker...this was a fantastic inroduction. A very subtle smooth smokey flavor worthy of multiple steeps. Excellent for the everyday iced or warm. Many possibilities with this tea. Really love the 'sleeping dragon' opening of these leaves in a glass pot. Highly recommend.

I tried this because gunpowder was sold out. I wasn't disappointed. Highly recommended.

This green tea is nice and mild, have also added some herbal fruit tea with it to sweeten it, great iced too.
★★★☆☆
This one is good, and I have no real complaints about it, but it's just not very memorable. I'll reserve serving this one to guests who aren't as fickle about their tea as I am.
★★★★☆
not my favorite green tea. not very flavorful and oxidized quickly.
★★★★☆
A good green tea- just what you want in a green tea. But, I didn't find it especially memorable. I am not sure I'll order this one again, but I don't regret it either.

I went in with an open mind, since I don't usually like green tea. This tea is amazing. It's very complex, and without the grassy taste that a lot of greens have. If you're not a green tea lover, but want a good green tea, this is the tea for you.

A smooth, mellow, and pleasant green tea. Tastes good.

Green teas tend to be a little weak for my taste. I was not impressed with this tea hot, however, I did enjoy the flavor when drinking it as iced tea.

I don't care for this one at all. I like the smokiness but it's just too bitter for me. I first steeped it for 3 minutes with water straight out of the coffee maker at work (which is what I always use) and I couldn't even drink it. This time, I poured the water first and let it cool a bit and then steeped for 2 minutes. It's tolerable now but I just don't enjoy it.

A satisfying, filling cup, sleeping dragon offers strong flavors of seaweed on the palate, with a woody, vegetal finish. Mouthfeel is full and almost brothy, reminiscent of miso soup without the salt. Slight tannins dry the finish and leave a pleasant, savory aftertaste. A good, but not great, tea.

One of the best greens I've had. Mild in flavor and can have a great steep several times.

I got a sample of this tea and a whole 3 oz. of anhui emerald seed and I like this one far better, it is also far more in price. It was a good sample to try as I'm trying to broaden my love of black/rooibos to oolong and green tea. Not the best green ever but still very good.

Fantastic tea. Very mild green tea. If you like Gunpowder green tea, you'll also enjoy Sleeping Dragon.
★★★★☆
A solidly good green tea. There is nothing too fancy going on here, just whole leaves and the solid product that forms.
★★★☆☆
I was looking for a pretty generic green tea to serve to guests and while this would suffice, I must say I wasn't thrilled by it. Kind of grassy, kind of musty tasty. Nothing to recommend buying it again.
★★★★★
One of our favorite hot teas! Nice large leaves that can be infused twice.
★★★★★
Sleeping dragon instantly made itself one of my favorites. Before buying it, I read that it has a 'gunpowder' taste. While that may sound intimidating, it's extremely pleasant and mild with a bright smokey taste. Not to mention, this tea is absolutely beautiful as it unfolds. I easily get 2-3 steeps out of it.
★★★★★
Love this tea. This has an earthy quality that distinguishes it from the gunpowder I was drinking regularly. Not real strong, a nice simple green tea.
Update: Still my goto daily tea. Love it!
★★★★☆
While this was a nice tea, we preferred the grassier ones such as Kukicha or Gunpowder. All a matter of personal taste, though! I can see how many other people would adore this one.
★★★☆☆
Not my favorite green tea but it's ok. Watching the leaves uncurl is fun.
★★★★★
My new favorite hot tea. I really enjoy the smoothness of this tea and can steep it several times before I have to toss the leaves. This makes it great for work. I steep 1 teaspoon with 12 oz water for 3 min and it is delicious. I will be ordering the large bag when it becomes available, as my sampler is almost gone.
★★★★☆
This is a good basic compromise green tea with some smokiness for the gunpowder lover and not enough to offend the non-lover of gunpowder especially if you live in the same household.

A smooth green tea, very enjoyable. I don't drink basic green teas very often, but I liked this one.
★★★★★
really pleasant, not too astringent and very smooth.

Tastes a lot like jasmine yin hao. Brews very nicely without fussing about the time in so much.
★★★★★
This is a great tea all by itself... tried it hot with a dash of lemon and it is just a great start to my morning.
★★★☆☆
I thought I would like this more than I did. I don't know how a tea can have a 'buttery texture' as adagio claims. This is one that you have to be very careful not to oversteep. I kept wishing for more flavor, but this tea isn't very complex.
★★★★★
This is a great green tea. I tried this tea because the gunpowder green tea was not available and I am glad that I ordered sleeping dragon. I love the intense flavor of the green tea. It is great for my morning cup of tea before my day gets busy.
★★★★★
I love smoky green tea, this one is great, I reuse the leaves and make a couple of cups.
★★★★★
This green has a very pleasant, vegetal aroma. I drink this one at work to keep me calm.

Ok I enjoyed this tea to me it had a light smoky flavor I am use to lapsang souchong even though I can not drink it by its self. I usually have it blended in with another tea.

This stuff is delicious. It's got a nice, smooth, buttery flavor and the mouthfeel is great. Once I order more tea, this is sure to be my everyday cup.

Very good green tea. It had a subtle flavor similar to, but not as strong as gunpowder green. I have grown to like this tea very much and it has become an everyday tea for me.

Its a good tea, but like another user mentioned, it is called 'sleeping' dragon for a reason. The flavor isn't anything that really stood out. Good for those who don't like the grassy side of green teas, with more of a light, perhaps citrusy taste. Its a tea that will be enjoyed, just not renowned.

This is a good tea, it tastes very good and is superyummy

A very light Oolong, could pass for a green tea. Be careful very easy to oversteep and give it that grassy taste
★★★☆☆
A green tea that has a mild grassy flavor which i really dont care for.

I am not a fan of smokey flavors, especially in my tea, but it was not too strong. I didn't taste any of the 'fruity sweetness' that was described on the website and it had a slight dry finish.

More than anything I love the way this tea looks. The flavor is great as well :)
★★★★☆
I like it. It's smooth and mellow and not too bitter.
★★★★☆
Very good tea. I let it steep for 3 minutes and it was perfect.
★★★★★
This is now my favorite straight green tea. It has a taste similar to gunpowder but without the smokiness that can turn bitter so quickly. Just grassy enough to taste clean and perfect if you throw some spearmint in while steeping.

My daily favorite tied with anhui emerald seed. Complex tea with wonderful flavors and just a hint of smokiness.

This is one of the few teas I can successfully steep twice without the second cup turning out weak.

This is a classic green tea, flavorful and rich, great color.
