Tightly rolled fuzzy buds give a soft, fruity sweetness enfolded by a rich, smoky note similar to gunpowder, but more complex and crisp.

I enjoyed Sleeping Dragon green tea. I tried it as a sample.

Honestly, this is my favorite overall green tea. It may not have the delicate and smooth profile of Gyokuro (actually I find it fairly close to Gyokuro in terms of smoothness), nor the complex flavor of Matcha. But it has a smooth and sweet flavor which is more complex than a 'typical' green tea. There is also a hint of smokiness, but not at the level of say, Gunpowder green tea, and it's just a pleasant tea to drink at any time of the day. It has completely replaced generic green tea for me... you know, the type that's sold in any typical super market. I may love teas like Gyukuro, Jasmine Pearl, or Golden Monkey for special occasions, but Sleeping Dragon is my go-to when I just want a simple cup of Green tea.

This was a nice tea, I think next time I'll steep it a little longer

Un te hermoso en apariencia recuerda mucho al gunpowder por su sabor umami a alga pero con perfil que resalta mas el perfil dulce sin duda una taza compleja pero que itera en lo habitual para un te verde

A delicious tea that's great for multiple steeps. It's a very 'approachable' green tea, neither grassy not vegetal, but don't think that means it's simple or unrefined! It's wonderful.

The taste reminds me of dehydrated snap peas. Not something I'd recommend.

Pretty smoky green, I enjoyed it for that! Might try again.

★★★★★

A high quality green tea that has interesting flavors. It is a bit more smokier than I would like, but still better than most green teas.

This is a perfect cup of green tea for me. Not to grassy or vegetal. Very smooth and light. This tea does not disappoint!

I love watching rolled teas unfurl! That said, I also love a flavorful green tea and this one did not disappoint. I added some of Adagio's Bees honey for green tea and that really accentuated the fruity notes.

A powerful, mystickal, dragon-realm green~~... I love the furled leaves which look like flying or sleeping dragons!! Not a top fav green for me, but its super awesome, nonetheless. Its very very straight forward green, earthy note..

Do you wanna get sleepy you better stop sleeping on this dragon and get you some dragons sweet tea, dragon sleeping tea, dragon green tea. The dragon tea is good. You need to get that dragon tea baby.

This green tea is very smooth and sweet and not as grassy as many other green teas. It's a solid tea to add to the collection of any person who enjoys green teas. Watching the leaves unfurl while steeping is also an undeniable delight!

a very tasty tea! a little less strong in flavor as the gunpowder variety. I would give it 5 stars, but it becomes very bitter if left too long steeping. I will order again.

Oh I love this tea! I tend to drink milk friendly teas and almost forget that my green teas exist. But this is such a treasure. I enjoyed watching the leaves expand as my tea steeped.

★★★★★

Lovely flavored tea, just the right balance of flavor. The smoky flavor is not overwhelming at all. A lovely green tea.

Having a stash of this tea is like having a pocket of gold coins. I do feel lucky to have such bold and rich flavors that sometimes have me feeling a bit greedy. I drink this stuff up with the thirst of a dragon! Just go for the 16oz you won’t be disappointed. It was fun to share too!

One of my favorite green teas! 💚 Very strong though, only 2 minutes brew time, maybe even less

I like this one, tea that taste like tea should. The curled leaves are desiving in size, a little bit goes a long way. Added to my faverts

I gave this to a coworker and they asked if I had any more I wanted to give them! If brewed as directed. It may be a little strong for some. I would use more water or fewer tea leaves to start and work up to the recommended amount for brewing.

One of the best teas from Adagio. Everyone I serve it to, even non tea drinkers, are impressed by how lovely it tastes.

My favorite green tea. I drink several glasses of iced tea - all day long,

Little bit fruity (bright), a little bit earthy, a little bit smoky. Was a good green, but wasn't exceptional. I think the smokiness took a little from me. If you like smokiness it would be very good.

A great overall green tea. I love how over a few steeps these leaves fully unfurl and dance around your brewer. So fun to watch. I get 3 brews out of these easily. Great taste.

Love this tea!! So far it is my favorite I have tried if the Adagio teas. It has a great flavor an adding honey makes it taste great as well. With or without it love it!

Sleeping Dragon is a green tea that will awaken your senses with its smoky and fruity flavor. This tea is made from twisted young leaves and silvery buds that are rolled into spiral-shaped leaves, resembling snail shells or violin scrolls. They release a perfumy and sweet floral aroma and flavor when steeped, with a full body and slight earthiness. The finish is lingering and aromatic, with a touch of floral-smokiness.

I liked this tea when I tried it as a sample, so I ordered some. The first steep was a little bitter, but I must admit my water/tea ratio was a little off, so I adjusted it for the second steep, and it was much nicer. No bitterness, and no overwhelming grassy taste (although I like grassy). On the third steep, I could taste more sweetness, although the bitter aftertaste returned. Next time I will try using less tea, and shorter steep time. All-in-all, I think it's a very good tea.

Tasty but fairly unremarkable green tea. It has a richer flavor that is not too floral. While I find this tea perfectly drinkable I do not plan to order it again.

I’m not enough of a tea connoisseur to describe all the nuances of flavor. But as a run-of-the-mill tea lover, I can only object that I prefer a stronger tea. No doubt, my preference for using honey and oat milk in my tea means the flavor of the more delicate teas is lost. I could still taste the tea, but it wasn’t as strong as I like.

Wasn't one of my favorites. It didn't have the taste or smell I was hoping for.

A good looking tea as it uncurls nicely. Brews a medium yellow-green. The flavor is a rich vegetal and mineral base with a light smoke flavor that's kind of a mix of traditional smoke, peat (like in scotch), and roasted vegetable. Don't be scared of the smoke on this one, it's fairly subtle, nothing like gunpowder. Second infusion as good as the first. Third infusion is drinkable, but not as strong even after a long steep. On the whole the flavors blend nicely and make a rich cup. I will likely order this again at some point.
Update 11/29/2023 - This makes the best Hot Toddy! Brew 9 oz in a 12 ounce cup, add 3/4 oz lemon juice, 3/4 oz simple sugar, and 1 oz Larceny Bourbon.

I’ve been searching for a good green tea. This is the best green tea I’ve ever had. This is now a staple in my tea cabinet.

★★★★★

Tried this new one for me. It is a simple green tea flavor with the unraveling of the leaves to a mild green tea flavor.

★★★★★

This is a delicious, somewhat nutty, classic green tea. Similar to gunpowder but not quite as pungent in my opinion.

★★★★★

Very good green tea, excellent with honey and lemon

very smooth and sweet green tea with an almost hay-like taste. subtle smokiness as well. the leaves are beautiful as they unfurl and it holds up well to multiple steepings

I purchased this tea since it's an alternative to Teavana's Emperors Cloud and Mist which I do enjoy. Based on the reviews I purchased some. I do like it and it is a good substitute for Emperors Cloud and Mist. Purchased this again for my daughter who really likes cloud and mist tea.

A very solid green tea and when I run out I will 100% be getting more!

Not sure what to think of this one. I like some greens, but this just isn’t one of them. It was very bitter, especially as it cooled. I tried a second steep and it was better, but still not one I’d ask for. (178° for 2.5 minutes.)

I feel this is a nice middle of the road green tea. It reminds me of the tea you would get at a better then average restaurant that serves green tea. I enjoy this tea both hot and iced.
