Sleeping Dragon Customer Reviews

Tightly rolled fuzzy buds give a soft, fruity sweetness enfolded by a rich, smoky note similar to gunpowder, but more complex and crisp.

I was looking for a loose leaf replacement for Emperors Cloud and Mist...I found it with Sleeping Dragon! Love it!

★★★★☆

I'm not typically a green tea fan, but I was quite impressed with this! Be sure to follow the steeping instructions though, since it's easy to over steep.

One of my go-to favorites, an easy-to-like green tea that is distinctive but not grassy in flavor. It's easy for me to get 'stuck in a rut' with this tea, and not move on to others!

★★★☆☆

Tasted like a basic green tea to me and I'm not a fan of green teas.

★★★★★

This is my new replacement for Teavana s Emperor Clouds and Mist! A 3.5 minute seep time gave it a little more punch. This is a wonderful value! I drink about 3-4 cups per day. I like to compare it to red wine...this would be a nice $15-$20 bottle. Not too cheap, but not high end.

Good enjoyed the flavor for a morning tea...will order again

This is my cup of tea, it s simple and easy on the palate. A great way to wake up.

★★★★★

Love it! YAY!! I tried it as replacement for Teavana's Emporer's Cloud and Mist and it is a perfect match! :)

★★★☆☆

I'm not a huge green tea fan and I steeped my first cup too long. I prefer to blend this with an HERBAL tea to tone it down.

★★★★☆

This is a great green tea. It's a bit grassy, but not overwhelmingly so.

★★★★☆

This is a solid green tea, earthy but not bitter. It's not my favorite, but it's good.

★★★★★

Very subtle light tea. Reminds me of Tevanna's Emperor Clouds Mist. Tastes really good.

★★★★★

This green tea is very drinkable. Pleasantly vegetal, not too bitter, and surprisingly mellow.

This is a good tea for the morning, it definitely wakes you up and the flavor isn't as strong as other green teas like Gunpowder Green Tea.

★★★★☆

This has been a nice green tea that we've enjoyed.

★★★☆☆

I followed the instructions because this was the first time I had tried this tea. I found it to be much more mild than I had expected. It just was not for me.

★★★★★

this tea is smell awesome, it smell like dragon well.

My daughter s first foray into green teas. She thought it was too grassy tasting. She paired it with peach serenity to sweeten it up. I like Sleeping Dragon but not my choice for a daily green.

★★★★☆

Nice and relaxing, without the grassy taste some green tea gives off. Also fun to watch the leaves fly around the glass as it brews and unfolds. Good tea to start with if you're looking to get into green tea.

★★★☆☆

This tea was just okay. It had a very mild flavor, but almost too much so. I added some lemongrass to give it a little more flavor.

★★★☆☆

I'm not much into Green teas, but the description sounded wonderful. It is a very light green tea, but for me it has a bit of a grassy taste. Maybe I steeped it too long, I'll be trying a shorter time to see if that makes a difference.

Wonderful green tea choice, pairs well with peach serenity. I drink 2-3 cups every morning.

Not a very big fan of green teas but this one was actually pretty good.

★★★★☆

I do like the taste as it has a little bit of a spice/kick.

★★★★★

This is a favorite in our home, strong-flavored and a not to be ignored tea. Seems to appeal to those who also like coffee and smokey whiskey!

★★★★★

so far my favorite plain green tea! good flavor!!!

★★★★☆

A slightly smoky yet mellower green tea for those who like it a little smoother

★★☆☆☆

The tea itself is delicious, but, every single tea bag was torn and leaked leaves into every cup. Perhaps this was a one off but I won’t be purchasing bags again.

★★★★☆

Sleeping dragon is just what I had hoped it's be.

★★★★★

Exceptional green tea! This is something special for those days you deserve an extra special treat!

★★★★★

A super power packed green tea that's great when you need a boost of energy.

★★★★★

First try of this green tea, I have been on a dragonwell kick for the past two weeks and wanted to go with something different. Just got a bunch of samples in today. Tonight was the Sleeping Dragon. I did it for like 3min and 30 seconds and I chose 175 cause I feel it works better for my green teas, it also is a bit more forgiving if I cant pull the leaves out of the water soon enough before it burns.

Lovely tea that blends a nice white and green flavor.

★★★★★

This tea really proved to be a wonderful addition to my collection. I am a fruity / herbal tea drinker, and I don't find black teas to mesh well with my tastes. In my opinion, this is a green tea that teeters on the line of tasting similar to a black tea. It is very subtle, an earthy, with a VERY slight cherry undertone. I grab this tea when I want a break from my vibrant fruit teas, and I want something a little more 'savory' or earthy to drink. Be warned, however, that I let my Black Tea drinking friend try this, and she complained of it tasting like cough syrup. Although I find that explanation to be a bit extreme based on the flavor, if you are very sensitive to cherry flavoring, I would be wary of this tea. Overall, I am overjoyed with this find, and will order again!

★★★★★

One of my favorite green teas. I love the energy I get from it

★★★★★

Great tea. Perfect for an afternoon cup. I steep mine a little longer for a richer cup.

★★★★☆

I generally stay away from green tea because of its... well, 'green' flavor, but this one is very mild compared to others. It definitely has some smoke to it, but otherwise it's an all around good tea for someone who wants something light that isn't overpowered by a grassy taste.

★★★★★

This became my favorite green tea over night. The smoky flavor brings it all together and sprung it to the top of my green tea list!

★★★☆☆

Not really sure if I brewed it too hot or if it just has that flavour.. Compared to other green teas I have tried this one was probably my least favorite. (that s not saying a whole lot because I have not had a crazy amount of Greens) Compared to gunpowder, which is a green that I do enjoy, it has a similar initial taste but where gunpowder turns into a subtle smokiness and unique flavour, sleeping dragon just kind of tapers out. To me this tea was fairly bitter, and the water had not reached boiling but it may hae been closer to the 190-195 range which could be affecting the taste that I have gotten the two or three times I have tried it.

★★★★★

this is my go to everyday green tea. It is simple, light with the earthy notes and finishes cleaner than gunpowder. Great cold brewed for iced tea.

★★★★★

A sleepy subtle green tea. A nice addition to a green tea collection

★☆☆☆☆

tastes like bitter cellery.

Great green tea! This tea has a nice earthy flavor!

★★☆☆☆

I really like the look of these tea buds, but upon brewing, they begin to resemble spinach or collard greens--with the nose becoming very vegie like. Really rather bland to taste. Not a particular winner for me

★★★★★

subtle taste and really energizing. I went trough three cups before I new it. It was that good

★★★★☆

A lot less smokey than the description leads you to think. I'd probably describe it moreso as rich, earthy, or savory than smokey along the lines of gunpowder, as I found gunpowder to have a pronounced smokey vibe and this really doesn't. Granted I only steeped my cup for about 2:20~2:30 minutes, so perhaps a smokey flavor develops if you let it brew closer to the 3 minutes mark. That being said, a cup brewed it at 180°F for 2.5 minutes pairs nicely with cheesy holiday baked mostaciolli.

It s my favorite green tea, I like the smoothness of it.

★★★★★

Very great flavor and smells just as good! Well definitely get again.

★★★★☆

In my opinion this is a pretty normal green tea. Very solid, daily tea.

★★★★★

More complex version of Gunpowder. Does not react well to being over steeped.
