Tightly rolled fuzzy buds give a soft, fruity sweetness enfolded by a rich, smoky note similar to gunpowder, but more complex and crisp.

This is such a cozy tea. I typically stick to black teas, but I'll probably be purchasing this one again. It's nice and light, which is perfect for these last sweltering days before fall really kicks in.

★★★★★

This is my favorite green tea that I have found so far. It is very earthy and has a little smokey taste to it. I love this in the morning with breakfast because it is such a neutral taste. I have bought this several times and love it every time I make it.

★★★★☆

Green and full of body, this tea provides a steady level of energy throughout the day.

This tea has a taste quite similar to gunpowder teas, yet it isn't as smoky.

First time trying this tea. I had been an emperor's cloud drinker but I prefer this tea as is more subtle than the other tea.

★★★★★

Great taste. My go to after lunch tea. Would purchase again

★★★★★

I bought this tea because the website said it was similar to Teavana Emperor Clouds and Mist, and it did not disappoint! It is very good and for a much more reasonable price. Thank you!

★★★★★

Great tea. Great for ice tea. Strong flavor so no need to use a lot at a time. One of my favorites.

★★★★★

Make this as hot as you possibly can get it. Amazing with honey, highly recommend.

Good taste one tea we don't add anything too and tastes good and refreshing.

I was introduced to this tea at a tea shop during my travels. It is a huge step up from grocery store teas. It's a basic rolled green tea. I prefer the plain earthy flavor over the fruity or minty teas. I steep this with a large infuser which lets the leaves uncurl and breath. Delicious, and a great value for the price.

A pleasant mild tea that steeps well and over multiple uses, as the leaves unfurl. I love making a pot of this while working and drinking it slowly.

As I was an avid lover of Emperor’s Clouds and Mist from Teavana I was very excited to try this tea. I’m pleased with it very much! The light smokiness and delicate green tea flavor are the perfect soothing combination!

Very good and earthy flavor, but the other green teas provide the same earth flavor but with a less rough taste.

Instresting flavor...maybe a little milk or cream would take away the grassy flavor.

★★★★★

I really like this tea. It can be a little grassy on first steep. I find it more fruity than gunpowder.

★★★★☆

This was my first venture into green tea that had a smokey side. It grew on me

★★★★★

It's a really clean green tea, I don't taste the smoky notes, but I love it anyways. This can steep multiple times.

★★★★☆

Great flavor, more mild than dragon well but still a great green!

★★★★☆

Brews up a brilliant gold cup. Lightly grassy, smoky, and earthy. Nothing offensive, a nice into into green tea. Mild bite of bitterness. A drop of lemon juice and a teaspoon of honey transform this into your favorite Arizona like bottled green tea beverage.

BY far the best green tea I have ever had. Very flavorful and a perfect start to any morning.

★★★★☆

This tea is very interesting, its flavor profile intrigues me. There is a savory and slightly smoky flavor uncommon to green teas.

This is a very lovely green tea. I find this has a delicate green tea flavor and a soothing aroma. I drink this every afternoon and with my evening meal. I cannot say what my water temp is when I steep but when the water comes out of my Hotshot I allow it to cool for two minutes prior to adding it to the tea. I allow the tea to steep for three minutes and I have a perfect 12 oz cup of tea.

One of my favorite green teas without an overwhelming bitterness.

★★★★★

I can t explain how much I enjoy this tea. It s amazing. The first time I tasted it, I drank the entire cup at once! I look forward to every sip or gulp! So Good!

★★★★☆

A milder green tea. I enjoyed it but for a basic green tea I d rather stick to the gunpowder.

★★★★★

I really like this one. It's definitely not grassy, and I feel like I could drink it everyday.

★★★★☆

This is an interesting tea. It has a slightly savory profile to start, with a touch of smoke, and a soft, somewhat floral finish. Interesting transition between the flavors. This is a nice, uncomplicated green tea with low astringency, perfect for those who are new to green tea or who do not like the grassy, vegetal taste some green teas have. As with all teas, mind your brewing temp on this one as it can turn bitter quickly. A nice, straightforward cuppa.

Fantastic brew! Great flavor profile and good for a second steep!

★★★☆☆

This is just okay for me, not an exceptionally interesting tea. It s not very grassy like a lot of green tea, there s a very slight floral taste and smell, maybe fruity, maybe the tiniest bit of smoke but nothing stands out. If you want an easy green tea, this might be a great option for you!

★★★★★

Similar smokey flavor to gunpowder green tea, though lighter, and a bit of a different profile to it. I don t know how to describe the difference, but it s certainly there other than the lighter taste. Works pretty well in a cold brew too, though you might consider extending the steep time(usually 8-12 hours), it seems to brew lighter in a cold brew. Though some of that might be drinking it cold numbing out some of the flavor.

Very pleasant, savory, and a touch sweet. I found it tastes a lot better when steeped for a shorter time.

My new go to green tea!!! So much better than gunpowder. I initially got the 3 oz bag. I just placed an order for a 16 oz bag. As with any green tea, please watch the temperature of your water and your steeping time. If you use boiling water, you are guaranteed to hate this tea (or any green tea for that matter). It'll be bitter and just awful.

★★★★☆

Very good tea. Petty basic green tea in my opinion, but nothing wrong with that. If you are new into green tea, give this a try.

Some of the best and most healthy tea. My fav green tea

★★★★☆

I found this tea to be very mild favored. I increased the temperature and brew time to 200F and 3 mins, and this give a very little vegetal flavor and a bit of red apple with just moderate tannin. It's good with that in mind, just very mild - I really prefer something with more flavor.

★★★★★

best gunpowder tea on the sight. tastes strong and bitter and grassy - ideal

★★★★★

This is my new tea for work and it is amazing! It's nice and smokey but still mellow.

★★★★★

The Adagio description is spot on and one of the other reviewers said something I really like: its like Gunpowder and White Monkey got into a fight, and White Monkey prevailed, though he was slightly singed as a result. If you want to be more adventurous in your tea selections, but found gunpowder a bit too smoky for your likes, you might want to give this one a steeping.

UPDATE: All these years later and this tea remains a favorite. Delightfully sweet yet smokey taste that is at once bold and subtle in its own way.

A great green tea that has a subtle earthy flavor.

★★★★☆

Very very similar to Gunpowder but the slightly less smokey and slightly more floral

★★★★☆

subtle and soothing tea, great for the end of my work day

★★★★★

Sleeping Dragon is one of my favorite green teas at Adagio. It's affordable, and it's also light and tasty. If brewed at the right temperature, it never gets too bitter or grassy.

Very mellow green tea. I find often green tea can be bitter but this one is soft and almost delicate. I really enjoyed this one.

★★★★☆

Big fan of this one! Can't believe I haven't tried this one yet.

★★★★★

This light green tea is a delight to sip on a cold afternoon. It's good for relaxing and savoring. The tightly furled leaves open slowly and gracefully. Good for two or three cups from the same leaves.

Tastes Great just like the more expensive versions!! I'll definately be buying this again.

★★★★☆

I like this tea. This is my go to tea every morning. I think I will get some more of this in my next order.

If you made a venn diagram of all the flavor aspects of different green teas, this would fall right in the middle. It is slightly smoky, slightly sweet, slightly grassy, slightly floral. Pleasant and inoffensive, but unremarkable.

My favorite green tea, sounds weird to say but it has a very silky texture and goes down so smoothly. I always buy this.
