At first I thought it was a really good pure green tea but as I kept drinking, it really was not one of my favorites .

The best green tea I've ever had- its fabulous hot or cold. Lovely bright earthy taste without any bitterness. I stepp each bunch of leaves at keat 3 times. If you like Teavana's Emperors clouds and mist, this tea is for you!
Excellent quality, just a little to grassy for my preference.
Since Teavana closed I’ve been looking for an alternative to Emperors Cloud and Mist. I found it! This tea reminds me sooo much of the Emperors Cloud!

This green tea has a light, nutty flavor - almost like a white tea. It reminds me a lot of dragonwell. If you're a fan of dragonwell tea, you will love this!
This is my go-to everyday tea. It has good body and is lightly astringent, a little earthy. The leaves are good for two infusions.

Similar to gunpowder, but slightly less smokey and slightly grassier. I want to like green tea, for health reasons and have tried a few. I have a tough time picking up the subtleties in green tea, but I would keep a small amount of this or gunpowder on hand for when I'm in the mood.
The first time I oversteeped it, but it didn't get bitter; the second time not so much. It's a yummy green tea, a good alternative to sterotypical jasmine greens.
Earthy and a little deep in terms of tea. Has a strong flavor. If you're looking to try a robust flavor look no further.

I prefer a much bolder green, and this was a bit too mild for me. Really had to reach for the flavor.
This tea is very nice as long as your water is too hot. I found if you want it a bit stronger, put more tea leaves in rather than brewing it longer.
My favorite green tea. I use 1 teaspoon steeped at 180 degrees for 3 minutes and have the perfect cup. Can re-steep leaves just leave steeping for a few extra minutes. Will definitely reorder.
Not a tea geek. Replacement for Gunpowder. Find the “crisper” taste to be “harsher” than Gunpowder. 82°C, 2-3 minutes infusion

I never enjoyed green teas before I tried this one. It's mild, not bitter, has good flavor and it blends well with other teas. I've mixed this with a Cinnamon Black Tea and I've mixed this with the Cinnamon Apple Rooibis both with success.
Not a great fan of green tea but this is not as grassy as most. I like adding black dragon pearls to it for a sublime taste. Yes, I SAID SUBLIME!

This is my favorite tea! I had a tea from another vendor, but they no longer carried it so I needed a replacement. This tea is even better and a better value. I like simple green teas, hot and iced, that I can make really strong.

I find this tea a lot like a subdued Gunpowder, it is smoky but not nearly as intense. I don't personally care for it but if you love smoky teas but not the intensity of Gunpowder or the astringency of Lapsang Souchong this may be an excellent fit for you.
Excellent blend of softer grassy tastes and that smokey undertone like gunpowder. A great staple green tea if you want the best of everything.
This reminds me of hojicha, which I like, just a milder flavor. If you want to try a toasted tea, this is a good place to start.
A favorite I go to again and again. The flavor discrip on the site is spot-on. I love the smokiness without being burnt and just the welcoming flavor that entices me to drink more.
Good medium strength flavor of a smooth and nutty green, yet somewhat grassy taste. This tea definitely has part of the green tea flavor I enjoy, but the gunpowder taste is a bit too bitter for my liking. It does grow on you and provides a unique flavor, but I would prefer to skip that all together. Good, not great. Still in search of a replacement for Teavana's long since canceled, 'Three Kingdoms Mao Feng'. Suggestions?
It is true that it's milder and less smoky than gunpowder green. It can be very astringent if over-brewed, but otherwise it's nice and mellow.
Full flavor!! Smooth! Has a rich but not overbearing taste.
An amazing green tea! Would recommend to anyone. Doesn't have any of the bitter 'grassy' taste some green teas have.
More green-tea-like in taste than gunpowder but bitterness seems more noticeable.
