Soft, earthy tasting tea that re-steeps once or twice!
This is not your standard plastic-menu restaurant tea. Get this tea to be ready for the lunar new year.
Let me start by saying, this is not a forgiving tea. This tea needs to be brewed exactly as recommended. In my haste to make tea this morning, I did not wait for my water to cool down to 180 and made it with boiled water. This produced a cup with an almost nickel like taste that just got worse as the tea cooled off. After realizing this was probably why my cup tasted awful, I brewed to instructions and was in love. A crisp, lightly smokey green tea that I imagine will be lovely at any time of the day.
One of my favorites! A rich, subtly fruity flavor.

Sent these as a gift for a friend and he really enjoyed them. He said the taste was a little too strong for him surprisingly, but he is new to tea. I would like to order this soon and give them a try though for myself.

A light and airy green tea, so I'm not sure if I brewed it correctly. To me it was very subtle, but I did enjoy it, especially when I added a bit of rock sugar; that seemed to bring out the green tea flavor.
Very earthy green that's great for an everyday tea. I found that it gained a hint of sweetness with each steep, but required adding an additional minute or more to prevent it from getting that diluted quality.
A strong green tea. I try to drink my tea with no cream/milk or sugar. But for me, I needed to add something to it. I'm not the biggest green tea fan though, so others might love this. It just wasn't hitting the right note for me.
this is a gunpowder green tea. definitely watch the steep time to control the flavor. 2min max for me. my first cup was 3min and i got a hit of gunpowder with lingering green at the end. i am not a fan of the gunpowder flavor. the 2min cup was more bearable. a bit of sugar and it turned into a lightly smokey green. fan of gunpowder/smoke may enjoy, but for me it was just okay. p.s. this tea swells so leave plenty of room for expansion when using tea bags.

Great tea for a lighter flavor. If you don't want the full impact of Gunpowder, this is a great one to try. I'll probably alternate between the two when I order from now on.
I love Sleeping Dragon! Each steeping delivers a different twist to its flavor profile. To me, it tastes fruity and smoky, a full-bodied taste that rolls wonderfully around your mouth. It is reminiscient flavor-wise of Dragonwell but without the dry finish. This is a wonderful tea for any time of the day, paired with or without food.
Tastes about the same as gunpowder, which is a good thing!
This is a great green tea! It has a very robust flavor, and is great with just a little honey!
Love this tea. it's a great daily tea along with my gunpowder green. The leaves fill out a lot, so in my experience you don't need quite as much tea to brew a good cup.

This is my everyday go to tea. It is very tasty and light enough for every day. I would really recommend this tea over some of the others.
I wasn't really impressed with Sleeping Dragon. If you find Gunpowder too smokey then this might be a good option for you. Like someone else said, it's such a middle of the road tea that nothing about it stands out.
Smooth and slightly sweet green tea without the grassy flavor of other green teas.
This is one of my favorite teas...it's a bit more complex than most gunpowder teas, without being smoky or astringent. It has a crisp, slightly sweet finish and holds up masterfully to multiple steeps...I typically add one level teaspoon to my Finum brewing basket in my favorite mug, pour 8oz of just-under-boiling water over it, and steep for 2-3 minutes. I keep refilling my mug throughout the day, with subsequent re-steepings going a bit longer, and have gotten up to 6 mugs of tea from one teaspoon. Incredible!

I really liked this one! I had previously ordered gunpowder which I liked. This one was a little less smokey and smoother. A must have for green tea drinkers!
This is my go to everyday. Now the wife even has me double the morning brew.
Been drinking this cold brewed for the most part and don't find it different than good quality gunpowder I've consumed in the past. My taste buds are 60 years old so you may notice nuances that I can't perceive. Sucks to get old but beats the alternative. LOL
I use different French Presses for each separate tea I drink to help build my health and keep me healthy. That way I can get more than one steeping for each tea without changing the leaves. Usually I can make three strong enough pots with each batch of leaves of this green tea.
I am not a connoisseur of tea; I really drink it for health purposes. And I like the flavor of Sleeping Dragon.
For the first French Press pot, I steep for about two minutes. Then for the next two pressings, I usually increase the time. Sometimes I forget and let it go for nearly half an hour, and it doesn't seem to get bitter.
This tea is very nice. Super balanced with a great favor, it truly does remind one of a gunpowder green. But it is certainly not as heavy, very light and fragrant.

This has been my favorite green tea from Adagio. Like the Yunnan Noir, I buy this one by the lb. Fantastic Chinese green tea. This one has a wonderful smokiness to it. The description says like a gunpowder, but more complex. Well I can definitely say it is WAY more complex, wonderfully smoky, very smooth. Don't use too many leaves, these ones are powerful. I steep 4-6 times and go from 2 min. for first steep down to 1 for additional steeps. This keeps the light smoky flavor over and over rather than becoming to bitter or overly strong. Cooler water is better.
This is quality green tea. It has a very full flavor which isn't overpowering or bitter.

Love it! Its not as strong as some green teas I've had, but is just right in terms of strength. It doesn't have the 'lawn clippings' flavor some types of green tea have, but does have a wonderful flavor!
This tea will likely be my work tea as it has a good flavor for a good price. The tea brews well in 2-3 minutes and even if I over-steep a little or if the water is a slightly different temperature, the taste is always pleasant, which is convenient when I'm at work and don't have the luxury of micromanaging my brewing conditions. Nothing about this tea is fantastic but it's a solid choice for an everyday green tea and I personally enjoy it more than the gunpowder I received as a sample.
