Really enjoyed this blend. I found it to be very much like the gunpowder tea - only much milder and sweeter.
Fine twisted young leaf that resembles a chun mee style but interspersed with silvery down-covered buds.

Really enjoyed this blend. I found it to be very much like the gunpowder tea - only much milder and sweeter.
A very balanced and soothing green tea, somewhere between a Jasmine green and a gyokuro. A fairly delicate tea, requiring between a 2-3 minute steep time, but I would suggest erring on the side of less time.
My go to green tea. This one doesn't have that grassy bitter after taste that most green teas have. I steeped for 5 min at boiling and it's Devine.
Silver sprout is an interesting tea, I'll give you that! It's almost like a delicate green tea that tastes more like a white tea. However, it's not quite as light as a regular white tea. It's a very nice option for someone who wants something smooth, with a little more flavor.
This is officially one of my favorites. It's hard to describe why I enjoyed it so much. There is something about it that I can't quite place.
Not a bad tea. Not my fav but not bad. It's a good basic to have in your cupboard.
Very smokey in flavor. Sister-in-law likes it, and she has a high standard for tea.
I got this tea free as a sample in one of my regular orders. It is very nice. Smooth and mellow flavor, sort of a mix between a peony and a Chinese green. Would definitely try again.
This is a green that falls just to the 'vegetably' side of the vegetable-grass line. It has an almost spinachy aspect to it but with enough astringent grass to keep it from tasting too much like dinner.
This typical silver-needle style tea has been a favorite of our whole family.
If you have one of the ingenuitea pots this is a great tea to resteep with. However, if you have a french press you leave it sit in too long it will turn bitter quickly. It's a bit of a finicky brew, but worth the effort. It's a lighter green tea, so don't look for a strong flavor, but with a bit of honey or raw sugar it has a delightful flavor.
This is one of my favorite teas i am new to the group of tea people. i love this one though has a great flavor and i would recomend it to everyone.
This is a nice mild green tea. It doesn't seem to get bitter if you steep it too long.
first time with this one -and its as smooth as described
This white tea is more bitter and less floral than most other examples that I enjoy.
This was very refreshing with just a drop of honey.
Had this for the first time... I've had an assortment of green teas and this was just ok - nothing overpowering or unique but it has a pleasant taste.
This is a good green tea. Not overly flavorful, so I use more than the recommended amount to get some taste. It is smooth though.
Not grassy to me and I'm not picking up on the smokiness, which I tend to like in a tea. I'll buy it a few times a year, but I don't love it enough to keep it on hand regularly. Definitely worth trying if you want a less grassy green tea!
I really like this tea and considering Chinese green teas are not my favorite that is saying a lot.
So-so. It's not my absolute favorite, but it's still a pleasant flavor.
This is more vegetal than my usual taste, but it's still really nice.
Slightly weaker than the Gunpowder tea offered. It's light with the right amount of smokeyness without being overpowering.
Made a very nice iced blend my mixing this about 50/50 with Adagio's Dewy Cherry... needed zero sweetener and was super refreshing.
This is a tea that tastes great, just don't steep it too long or too hot, it can make it bitter pretty easily.
I am not of fan of this tea, slightly smoky, very light taste. Tastes more like a white than a green.
Adagio describes this tea quite well. It's pretty much exactly as advertised.
A little weak, but still pretty good. prefer the dragon green.
Tastes like gunpowder green, but lighter and less smokey. I actually like it better than gunpowder. It tastes too bitter steeped at 180 degrees, though, so I just go for 170.
This tastes pretty much how I would expect a green tea to taste. It's not the best I've had but it's still definitely a good tea that I will drink over and over again. Still tastes good when resteeped.
So...#1 I usually DO NOT like green tea. I don't like drinking the flavours of grass. If I would have realized that this was green tea I might not have ordered it (it was a sample. My husband said he thought it sounded good).
#2 The first time I made it I didn't measure or time it...TERRIBLE IDEA! It was hideous. Way bitter and overwhelming. Bleh.
#3 I made it again (the correct way) and it is actually quite nice! Nice earthy, smokey flavors. Rather lovely actually (for a green tea). Happy with it now.
It's good enough. It's not going to astonish you with its awesomeness or anything. If you don't really have a longstanding relationship with green tea, it's a fine start. Not grassy, not complex, just decent. Also, not too hard to brew. Works well in gongfu style tea sessions.
A mellow green tea with a very slightly smokey finish in the back of the mouth that reminded my husband of gunpowder. Good for everyday drinking or as a base mixing with other flavors.
This is a very light, mild, and refreshing green tea.
It was a little smokier than I had thought it would be. But overall a really nice tea. I would order it again.
A nice plain green tea that doesn't really have much of a flavor beyond tea.
Not what I was expecting at all! The first time I made it, I let it steep a little too long, but now I know the ideal time (for my own palette) is between 2.5-3.0 minutes. It is just as smoky as the gunpowder, but much, much lighter. A vaguely warm, floral aroma, with a hint of grassy earth. Smooth on the tongue and satisfying to the soul.
More bitter than that one uncle you hate but can't tell it to his face.
It's another staple tea, good for mixing with stronger teas or alone for a warm and calming taste.
I picked this as a free sample thinking it was a white tea, but was surprised when it showed up to be green! The name didn't quite suit it to me. the flavor was very characteristic of a basic Chinese green: chestnut notes with a slight toasted flavor. If this is what you're looking for, it's perfect.
Good tea. A little smoky for my taste but very good.
Pleasant aroma but the finish is dry. A nice afternoon cup, perhaps, but not strong enough flavors for my morning tea.
The aroma for this tea is spot on with it's description. The butteriness is there in the flavor as well as the astringency although the grape wasn't very present. There is somewhat of a smokiness but not quite in the way I was expecting. It's a very nice light tea that I can definitely see myself buying again.
Definitely a must try for white tea. I drink white tea on occasion so I got this as a sample and it was a pretty good choice. Start with a sample and go from there.
Everytime I have made this one it hasn't tasted good at all. It is pretty strong grassy taste. I try to only let it set in there for a short bit but it was not the light taste I expected. Least favorite tea so far.
For some reason this tea just does not taste good to me. I can't say why but for me the flavor just comes out a bit rotten.
Basic green tea. The flavor was a little weak, though.
Vegetal and low astringency, a very nice cup of tea.
I didn't taste much flavor in this one. Very light tasting.
I like this tea quite a lot. It has a really nice flavor reminiscent of White Symphony, with it's honey/floral notes and light flavor. It then has a vegetal aftertaste to remind you it's a green tea. I didn't get any smoky taste in it for whatever reason, maybe I'll need to experiment with brewing parameters.
