the leaves smelled sweet, but in a very mellow and dry sense. in the cup, it came out a bit more woodsy. and after adding some sugar, it had a nice cinnamon taste to me. i'm not sure what to think of this tea (or my taste buds, right now)
Fine twisted young leaf that resembles a chun mee style but interspersed with silvery down-covered buds.

A very faint green tea, almost watery really. I'm glad I got it as a free sample, as I wouldn't want to buy it.
Pretty good, I think I sort of burned it a little bit though.
This is a smoky tea, that reminds me of gunpowder tea. This is a bold green tea with a bit of softness.
Sort of bad. I can drink it, but I don't like it much. Kinda swamp watery? It was a free sample, though, so no loss.
A nice light tea with floral notes. I liked it. A good tea to get
I read the previous reviews so I wasn't expecting much from this lower priced tea but it was actually pretty good. Worth the price you pay for. I find that it's good for blending with other things like lemongrass and ginger. It's good with or without sweetener.
The first time I steeped this three minutes like the instructions said. DON'T. It was bitter and awful. The second time I steeped it for a minute and that was much, much better.
This is a delicate green that works well hot or cold. Definitely will order again.
Smokey and lite but I didn't get that sweetness everyone keeps describing. I added agave however and it really popped.
very mild. light flavor. i enjoyed this tea very much, just be careful not to over-brew
This is by no means my favorite tea but it's not bad either. There's definitely a smoky taste, kind of like gunpowder but not as strong, which I have to be in the mood for. But it's pleasant tasting and inexpensive so it's nice to have on hand.
This tea requires about double the amount of most teas to get a good flavor out of it. The flavor is almost that of a white tea with a bit of bitterness and grassy green tea after taste.
I'm gonna make sure I order this with every order. I sprinkle a little bit of this in my tea maker for a boost. It's like my little sprout helper. Loving it...
Quite nice for an afternoon drink. Light and refreshing with a clean finish.
Still on the quest for a go to green. This is nice, but I'll keep looking for a while I think...
It is excellent to make on the go. From what I have experiences, very hard to overgrew. It is floral and smooth.
i don't really like this one that much. it's not awful, just not amazing
This tea is awesome! I didn't really know what to expect at first but it is delicious. I would definitely buy it again.
In keeping with some of the other reviews of this tea, this is certainly a good one, but it lacks that certain je ne sais quoi that would make it stand out from among other simple green teas. It has a rather soft and inoffensive sort of character, and is quite pleasant, but nothing special.
I like the smokiness and slight astringency, but the flavors are almost too subtle, approaching bland. The beautiful smell when you open the bag lends nearly nothing to the tea. Not bad, but not exciting.
Green tea has never been my favorite, but this I can take (with a hefty addition of sugar). With sugar, it's a smokey buttery green.
Good all purpose everyday tea w/o the big price on it. Also works well as a tea to blend w/ a white chai or citron tea.
i was put off by the taste at first, but i learned to love it!
I was a little concerned by the relatively long brew time, but this was very good regardless, not a hint of bitterness.
Smells distinctly of honey when you open the bag. The brewed tea is soft and mellow with a less honey like taste but still naturally sweet. Don't add any honey or sweetener to this one. It takes away from the natural flavors and delicate mouth feel.
I'm not much of a green tea drinker, but this one isn't to grassy.
This is a lovely baseline green, neither strong nor overly dry. It's fabulous iced or hot. Lends itself well to sweet tea - perfect with rosemary and a splash of lime in a hot Florida summer. For a small cup of hot tea, a spoonful of sugar and a couple crushed lavender buds liven it up well.
The smoky flavor definitely comes through. I probably wouldn't call this tea a favorite, but it's not bad.
Not one of my favorite green teas but certainly drinkable. A little smokey and a bit astringent, buttery as well. Not bad.
Mm the aroma of this tea is lovely. Sweet and a touch fruity. The flavor is sweet with a subtle smokiness to it.
This tea had almost no flavor. It was quite a disappointment even though I didn't expect much to begin with. Even with sugar, this tea fell flat.
Nice nuts and bolts basic green tea. It's got a very light floral aftertaste and some good smokey notes that come out more strongly the longer you brew. If you're the kind of person who drinks a lot of bagged green tea, this will taste familiar. Which doesn't make it bad or pedestrian, just a good, plain green. If you want a good example of what green teas can be/are new to tea/not sure if you like greens or not, this is for you.
For me, this silver sprout created a delicately flavored, slightly dry and tannic cup of tea. I did detect soft floral notes and a hint of smokiness but nothing overwhelming. The light taste would make it a good one to blend with.
I found this tea a little bland. It needed a lot of sugar.
A very, very delicate green tea. The flavor is quite pale but I find it rather soothing when I'm under the weather and can't stand strong scents or flavors.
im glad i got this one on sale.. kinda a disappointment. i played with temps and steeping times and this one still was a little to weak for me.
A good base tea for my home made mint chai. I have not tried this tea on its own yet.
The tea is about exactly as Adagio describes it: quiet floral-then-smokey aroma, smokey slightly buttery cup. Being a cheap tea it's not complex and doubtless no good for multiple infusions, but it's enjoyable all the same. The cup has a slight hint of sweet grapeyness to it, and the smokiness isn't anything brash, though the astringency is strong and lingering. A tea worth its price.
Wasn't really wowed by this tea like I though I would be. Not sure why though.
