I didnt like the grassy taste, but overall it's alright, well priced.
Classic steamed tea from Shizuoka, Japan. Rich, brothy texture (when steeped as strongly as you might find in Japan), refreshing aroma. Rounded finish that coats the palate, sweet flavor reminiscent of tender steamed veggies and fresh seaweed.

I didnt like the grassy taste, but overall it's alright, well priced.
This is the perfect everyday green tea. Almost as good as gyokuro!
This is a great tea if you are looking for a pleasant, inexpensive green tea that is perfect for every day drinking.
While this tea is a second flush and not the best sencha out there it is not bad. It has a unique flavor profile while meeting all of the qualities of a sencha quite well. It is not overly expensive, making it well suited as a daily tea.
A great and strong vegetal flavor, very nice for a long sipping green tea. Very easy to oversteep--I'd recommend no more than 2.5 minutes.
I enjoyed this green tea. Strong flavor; I'm glad I ordered it.
I loved this tea! It was very nice and it was even better after the second infusion. Sencha is becoming one of my favorite green teas for sure.
A good green tea for anytime of the day. Not too grassy.
This one was just a bit bland for me. I enjoyed it but I think I'll try some other green teas instead of this one.
This is a great every day green tea at an afordable price.
I liked it a lot! It has a great taste to it. Will order again
Good value but not y favorite. Next time i'd go for the green pekoe.
I'm not much for green tea, but from the ones I tried, this was the best.
Loved it...very smooth, light taste! Will easily be an everyday tea for me.
Delicious Green Tea. It has a strong green flavor so that you KNOW you are drinking green tea.
A wonderful everyday green tea. I hate spinach-y green teas, and this one doesn't have that at all.
A very fine green tea though not as tasty as gyokuro. Sencha overture is much cheaper though and the taste difference between them makes this tea really worth the money.
One of my favorite unflavored green teas. Such a distinct taste. Very 'non-grassy'.
Not my favorite green tea, but has a nice, smooth flavor.
Basically a less expensive less quality gyokuro, but still extrememly good.
This tea is the best tea paired with seafood dishes.
Good...not great...but Good...Can't think of anything I did not like about this tea...a solid Japanese green.
Good, simple, everyday green tea. Was too bitter when made with 180 degree water. 170 degree made good tea.
pretty good..I brew it just a hair less than recomended so it's not as dry tasting.
Excellent green tea, a lighter green tea and it doesn't taste grassy like the other green teas I've experience(like Kukicha).
I've been trying out lots of different green teas lately, and Sencha has turned out to be one of my favorites. I tried the Sencha Premier which is close to amazing. Sencha Overture is just a grade down from Premier. This is partly because Overture has slightly less taste, but mainly because Overture has much more leftover sediment than Premier (Premier has next to no sediment).
very wonderful taste, nice aroma, would definately buy again
I just couldn't get into this tea. It is too grassy for my taste and it gets bitter if you let it get cold. I really didn't like it.
The tea has the pleasant soothing green color that I am looking for, really love and high recommend it.
Very green tasting. I tried sencha once in a restaurant and this was as good -
An excellent tea. It has the fresh aroma and taste of a top-quality green tea, almost as tasty as Gyokuro. It could easily be my daily tea.
This is my preferred daily green tea. It has a good strong taste for those who prefer that in their green tea. For the money, I think it's better than the Sencha Premier.
A great green tea. I can't help but thinking that this flavor is perfect for an ice cream flavor. Great aroma and sweet, earthy flavor.
My favorite, basic green tea (that I can afford). I'll keep reordering!
In my opinion too strong for a full strength cup or to be by itself. Adds a nice fullness when mixed with other teas. My favorite mix is with chamomile. Healthy!!
After all the raving over green teas these days, I expected a little more. Tasted like grass, really. But still pretty good.
Tasted soapy and unpleasant to me, very unlike a traditional Japanese sencha. Maybe I just got a bad batch, or didn't wash my cup well. I wouldn't order again.
Very good green tea. I found it to be a little bit grassy, however, and I would try other green teas on this site before ordering again.
Love this tea. I really prefer it to the premier! It's grassy and mellow, the perfect every day tea :)
This is another of my favorite 'stand-bys,' and a great value. Not as smooth as the sencha premier, but very good for the price point.
Sencha is a great everyday tea and the one I try always to have stocked. Sencha Overture is good, probably somewhere in the middle of the senchas i've had.
Ok tea, but way too grassy for my tastes. Maybe I'm not a green tea fan? Great for adding other flavors to it.
Of course, Sencha is amazing. Please be ready to drink good green tea, and not the bland colored water that most americans are used to. It's a treat!
Earthy, lots of texture, a personal favorite. If you like this you might try gykuro...
Not quite as good as the premiere, but still very good.. great value.
love it. Best sencha for the price I've found anywhere. this is definitely my cup of tea. if you like veggies and a good all around flavorful tea, this is the one :)
The tea is good, I just felt it didn't have the flavor I was looking for. It's a little strong tasting.
I thought I would like this tea because I like sencha but it was kind of bitter. The sencha premiere is much better.
Not the best I've ever had, a little too overbearing at times, but OK.
Not my type, tasted unusually like spinach. I rated it thje way I did because I could tell that the quality was good but I personally did not like it
