Good tea, grassy, the same taste like one I had directly from China, but this tea could have a better quality.
Classic steamed green tea from Shizuoka, Japan. Crisp and clean cup, notes of freshly steamed edamame. Refreshing, sweet, and much more delicate than most Senchas. If you're new to Sencha (and the vibrant teas of Japan in general), this would be a great place to start.

Good tea, grassy, the same taste like one I had directly from China, but this tea could have a better quality.
Somewhat grassy tasting but smooth. It's a nice color after it's brewed.
A bit expensive but makes a nice clean green tea for the weekends.
Fantastic green tea. Could drink this all day. Very easy to drink. Simple but delicious flavor profile.
'...and this one was JUST right!' said Baby Bear. Sampling several green teas and the Sencha Premier has everything I want in a green: heavenly green color and aroma, welcoming sweetness, hint of lemony astringency that brightens but does not bite...a-a-ah! This tea just makes me happy! (or is that just the amino acids talking?)
This is a very acquired taste. Do not give it to your casual friends do not try this unless you LOVE green tea. However, if you acquire the taste...it...is...amazing. It's a very earthy grassy tea that just feels great to drink. It has such a strong aromatic flavor that it brings out the best in a morning
I didn't like this tea. The smell of it reminds me of boiled chicken for some reason. I could drink the tea, it didn't taste as much like boiled chicken. But I've mixed the rest of the sampler I got with Jasmine to finish it off. Now it smells like chicken but tastes like Jasmine.
Very good quality for the price. Smooth and slightly grassy.
If you are new to green teas then try this one. I buy this by the pound!
Always a fan of this one. A bit sea-weedy and brothy but not over-powering. I've had more flavorful sencha's than this, but this one's still pretty good.
Excellent tea! I store the tea in a ziplock bag inside of the bag it comes in to keep it fresh longer.
Sencha Premier has a pleasant, grassy flavor. It holds up well to multiple brewings. One of my favorite greens!
This is one of my favorites of the sencha teas. I like it better than the Gyokuro. It's has a strong bright grassy but also very smooth flavor. Never too astringent. Gives a great bright green cup of green tea every time. Even holds up very well to a second steeping. Green tea like it is meant to be.
This sencha tea is light but not as flavorful as the sencha I usually get.
I like this green a lot. Very nice! I think this will be one I keep on hand.
Wasn't thrilled with it. Clean taste, but it left me with a dry mouth feel.
This is my best second cup of tea, slightly earthy and pungent. Excellent
my everyday green tea. it's a very soft, steamed edamame, savory flavor. it can handle 2 infusions just fine.
Not as good as the Gyokuro, but for an every day tea, it's perfect. I used to get the Sencha Overture, but found this better. I like it strong so I use 2 teaspoons, but can easily get 3 cups out of it. I steep it for 1 min 30 secs first cup, 1 min 10 secs second cup, 1 min 50 secs third cup
bold and flavorful, I have been making sun tea with it
Great tea. Very smooth. Brew 3 or 4 times, my husband loves this tea.
This is by far my favorite Japanese green tea! I enjoy kukicha for its grassy sweet flavor with a slight peppery aftertaste and Chinese green teas that have different smokey qualities but this Sencha is in a league of its own. It is the most floral sweet green tea I have ever had, almost as if silver needle white tea could perfume to a stronger flavor. This tea is a must!!!
This is literally the worst tea I've ever tasted in my entire life. I almost vomited when I took my first drink. After taking a few sips trying to convince myself that this wasn't a mistake, I finally gave up and poured it out. The smell is rancid and I'd rather slip my wrists then try to finish a cup of this.
Very smooth, grassy green tea. It's the essence of green tea. Not for everyone - there are no flavor blends here - but highly recommended for those who enjoy their green tea very green.
This is one of my favorite green teas. It tastes very green and vegetal but that's how it should taste.
Very potent with traditional sencha flavor. This tea tends to offer me the perspective of stillness and peace for the day. always have to keep this one stocked in my cabinet
I've only had 2 cups of it so far and i've enjoyed it. It's stronger than I was expecting, but it's not overpowering.
For a new tea drinker, the taste of this tea is a bit surprising, but an enjoyable tea none the less.
Really a fantastic tea. A nice, clean taste. Not too earthy or astringent.
It has a really lovely roasted flavor. This has become one of my favorite green teas.
This is like sencha overture, except even better... not quite as much bitterness but still nice and vegetal/grassy. This is my favorite tea right now!
This is a solid sencha. There are better available (Gyokuro certainly) but not really better options for the same price. This is my every-day tea, and I drink about 2 cups a day. Don't steep it too long (2 minutes is plenty) and you can get a second steep out of the same leaves.
Beautiful verdant green color, and an incredible aroma. Hints of citrus and lychee when tea is dry. When being brewed, a very warm buttery umami smell reminiscent of edamame fresh out of the steamer. Flavor has hints of the lychee sweetness, but only hints. Very low on the vegetal aromas and tastes that can accompany lower grade senchas. Almost wish the flavor were a little more assertive, but overall an excellent cup.
Very good, nearly great. I am convinced a local Dim Sum restaurant substituted this for organic dragonwell(my standby) and I was stunned that it was just so much better than before. On my buy again list.
This is my favorite green tea. More refined than the overture. Maybe not as smooth as Shizuoka Shincha, but at 1/3 the price, it is a much better deal. I order it by the pound.
I actually bought this for a friend, but he said he really loved it, and he's a green tea fanatic, so yay!
Easily the best sencha I've had from any other provider!
I bought this as a sample and quickly went through it. Delicate grassy flavor that persists after multiple infusions. I agree with other reviewers to brew shorter than suggested
Very delicate and light, a nice flavor, a nice change from more traditional green teas.
not that strong of a green tea...
I drink a couple pots of this every day. I love the way the flavor develops as the tea cools: it begins as a fresh, savory seaweed taste, then fresh-cut grass, and when its down to room temperature, it--I kid not--tastes kind of like cotton candy. I don't know why.
I like the taste. It was a classic Japanese tea taste, but the vegetal smell was overwhelming.
Dry and steeped it smells a lot like the gyokuro (which says a lot about the bitter gyokuro). but tastes grassy and leaves a sweet aftertaste
This is a really classy cup of tea--a rich sencha flavor that's not bitter, with a really buttery mouthfeel.
I enjoy drinking this tea daily. I am a fan of grassy green teas, and this is one of them. I recommend it to those who like a strong green tea taste. I usually steep each serving size about 4 times, with good results.
Delicious. Took me a while to get into more grassy, spinach-y green teas but am thoroughly enjoying this one.
A lot better than the sencha overture. I'll be buying this when I'm in the mood for sencha.
Expensive, but you can just taste the perfection in this smooth, gentle, leafy green tea. It definitely lives up to it's name: Premier. It's very lovely aroma is soothing and the taste goes down after a meal or even with dessert.
I simply love this tea. It is a great quality Sensha, stronger than my usual Kukicha and is well appreciated for everyday.
This is one of my favorite green teas. I like the mild flavor, easy to drink.
