I'm not a huge green tea fan, but this one is quite rich in flavor. It doesn't taste as grassy as many green teas.
Classic steamed green tea from Shizuoka, Japan. Crisp and clean cup, notes of freshly steamed edamame. Refreshing, sweet, and much more delicate than most Senchas. If you're new to Sencha (and the vibrant teas of Japan in general), this would be a great place to start.

good japanese green tea character, but a bit less 'grassy' and fresh green than I was expecting. Still quite smooth, with decent 'umami' flavor. Not as much 'freshly cut grass' aroma compared to, for example, sencha from Ippodo in Kyoto, but still a fine experience.
My new favorite Saturday morning tea, or 'I don't want to be at work on Monday' tea. One of those lovely green teas that it is very hard to mess up. If you steep it the perfect amount of time (3 minutes ish) - magnificent. If you steep it too long - still excellent.
Very green Sencha! Fresh grassy scent with a crisp and clean finish. Just as with any green tea or Sencha especially don't use too hot or boiling water to avoid bitterness. Very fresh green chlorophyll look & taste that can be a bit sweet if you don't steep too long.
Brews up lighter in color, with a mild herbal flavor and no bitter tones. If you're a fan of Japanese style teas then you should try this.
I absolutely love this tea. I've never bought looseleaf green tea before, so I'm even obsessed with the way the leaves look! Has a great light taste, none of that grassy nonsense some green teas have. Love it.
I wanted a simple green tea to have when I got take-out from my great local sushi place, and this fits the bill perfectly. Clean, bright, the perfect amount of that leafy/grassy/green-ness - just what I was looking for. My partner would have rated it lower, but that's mostly because he likes other flavors with his green tea; he finds this a little simple. But he agrees that this is definitely a quality green tea.
Like drinking a freshly cut lawn. Have to mind time and temperature because it can go bitter very, very quickly. But when you hit it right it just sings
A lovely delicate and flavorful tea. I highly recommend it if you are a sencha drinker.
Seems to have a slight bitter edge to it. I may be spoiled by the Dragonwell
Sencha is my all time favorite green tea. Out of the pouch it is a deep green color, but it brews to a delicate yellow-green. I brew at 175 for about 90 seconds for perfect flavor - vegetal with a mellow grassy finish. If you like green tea I highly recommend sencha premier!
Loved this green tea. It is a very good quality and has wonderful grassy notes with a clean finish.
My favorite tea from Adagio. I buy it a pound at a time.
I don't like green tea but the friend I purchase this for is a green tea connoisseur and he loves it.
Very good! Definitely a grassy flavor in this one. I've found it's much better if you back off on the water temp. I use a UtiliTEA and put it on the low end for green tea on the setting.
I really like this tea. However it is more labor intensive to make a cup than the others.
Awesome! I always drink this in the mornings and it tastes great.
I love sencha premier. I'm not a green tea lover, but these grassy tea has grown on me. I make sure to steep only 2 minutes, 3 minutes tops. I prefer to buy it already in bags for a fast and easy brewing.
This is a'ight only. A light flavor - hard to get enough taste without brewing so long it gets bitter. My daily driver until jar empty.
This delicious and smooth Sencha has a wonderfully full, fresh flavor while still maintaining a distinct gentility. Very high quality, it is also a favorite with myself and my co-workers!
Delicate and grassy. I like this tea a lot, but I would probably spend a little more next time and get gyokuro.
Creamy, delicate, and lightly vegetal. I'm enjoying it very much. Perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up!
This sencha is very good, clears the palate like no other green tea for that price. I would only recommend using a tea bag (one of those empty tea bags that you can buy in thousands online) or a very fine metal mesh to avoid pieces of leaves floating in your liquid.
Wonderful flavor. Light with a slightly sweet aftertaste
Delightful, subtle green tea. The taste is delicate, notes of fresh pea shoots, hay, slight sweet after taste. Lovely light yellow-green color. I can drink copious cups of this throughout the day which is a good thing, given its touted benefits for contributing good health. I don't feel like it's heavy on the caffeine either, esp. when compared to coffee and certain Chinese tea varieties. You can get 3 passes with each serving.
great sencha.
A good, slightly above average Sencha. I've had superior Sencha from other sources, which aren't to be named, but require being ordered online from Asia. I like this Sencha for its quality-price-convenience ratio.
After visiting Japan several times and growing to love the tea there I've spent quite a while looking for something to compare. This is by far the best Japanese green tea I've found locally.
I absolutely love this tea. It is green tea perfection. It is frangrant and vegetal and slightly floral. It's just delicious.
This tea is pretty alright. I'm not a massive fan of the flavor, so I won't be ordering more, but it's still a good quality tea. The flavor and aroma make me think of roasted chestnuts, straight out of the skillet from stovetop roasts. It's gentle, but not quite what I'm looking for.
Green tea with simple but strong flavor and a weird miso like finish.
Tastes like the green tea I got in Japan, it was herbal and grassy and strong. I make it a little lighter than it says on the package.
This is my new go to green tea. It's a very good sencha if not steeped to long.
Some of the best green tea I've ever had. Very strong grass flavor also pure.
Like it a lot drink it in the mornings and after dinner.
Love this tea. have it frequently
This does not have a uniqueness to it, it just tastes like every other sencha I have had although it is good. It has a nice grassiness. It does turn bitter much quicker than others I have had. If you forget about it and let it sit for more than 3 minutes it is terrible but if you steep less than that it stays smooth.
This is probably the most true, simple and tasty green tea I've tried yet. It is everything you want in a quality green tea. The fresh grass and warm edamame notes are balanced perfectly.
Good, but I'm not sure it's worth the extra cost.
I love the Sencha premier, it is a tad lighter and seems a little less grassy than the Sencha overture. It is a little more sensitive to over-temperature and extended brewing times.
I think this is the best one sencha I ever try.
But you have to try by your self.
This is a pretty decent sencha. I like the super cheap sencha I get from the asian market better as it's sweeter and has a richer flavor. This is a tad weak and gets bitter easily. Not too terrible for the price.
so good, i get a hint of seaweed when i brew it. nice green color and smooth flavor
I loved this. Although it has a sweetness and is not too strong, it still comes off as a lightly full-bodied tea with its own unique flavor. I also tried mixing it with gunpowder tea and result was yummy! CAUTION: This is an update. I accidentally steeped it for too long and the taste was horrible. For me, about 2 1/2 minutes at 170-180 degrees (with an extra swish of the tea ball while waiting) is just right! Also, taste seems to be enhanced by letting it breathe just a bit before drinking. Kind of like wine!
One of my favorite teas. Very smooth flavor. Would recommend.
Very good tea to relax in the afternoon with a delicate taste.
Nice and smooth green tea! It doesn't taste nearly as strong as it smells in my opinion which is a bit of a shame but sometimes you want something a bit subtle. I love the grassy scent of the dry leaves but the brewed cup tones that down and it's sweet and smooth, more vegetal than grassy in my opinion.
I didn't think I liked green tea, and then I tried Adagio's gunpowder green. The next stop on my green tea journey was sencha premier, and it was a nice visit. This is a real nice sweet tea with a crisp finish. I mistakenly steeped this tea at 180 rather than 170, and it was not bitter at all. I would highly recommend this tea to any black or herbal tea drinkers that are skeptical of green teas - it is an extraordinary introduction.
I really like this tea, the leaves are soft and the color is super green. The first steeping has such a great aroma and flavor. I mixed with some spearmint leaves to make a hybrid Moroccan Mint with sencha instead of gunpowder, works wonderfully. I have been using a French Press for my loose leaf tea and find it so much easier to let the leaves bloom and steep better than other methods. I will buy this tea again.
Delicious green tea. If you like a subtle, smooth, round bodied green tea, you will love this tea
the taste and scent is mild and relaxing. the price is a bit steep but you pay for quality. Looks like seaweed but can be used for multiple steeping
