★★★☆☆

This green tea is...barely there. The taste is nice, but it is incredibly light. Even when doubling up the leaves, it tastes like you infused the barest of green tea flavors into hot water. Maybe nice for people who like that sort of thing, but I prefer my green teas a bit more flavorful.

★★★★☆

Fragrant with a floral/fruity taste, though not overt. The taste is delicate while the aroma is more pungent. The tea itself is pretty and delicate before brewing.

I'm not all that big on green tea, but this was a nice one. Not too strong, not too 'grassy' (what tends to turn me off to greens).

★★★★☆

Pretty mild, but I like it. Has a bit of a 'darker' aftertaste.

★★★☆☆

This tea was weak in flavor even when brewed longer

★★★★☆

Enjoyable. Not too strong and a good morning or early afternoon tea.

★★★★★

A very delicious, crisp, taste. Enjoyed ever sip.

Excellent green tea! It has a very gentle flavor and doesn't get very bitter even after a long soak. :)

★★★★★

Really liked this tea!! I'm finding that I like the green and white teas the best. I like the lighter taste and lower acidity. This tea has a great, light flavor. perfect for the morning.

★★★★☆

Pi lo chun has a floral earthy flavor. It has a smooth almost buttery finish that I enjoyed.

Oooh this is fantastic. Light and fruity and delicate on the tongue.

★★★☆☆

Pleasantly fruity notes and mild vegetal astringency. Worth trying once and a good choice for my free sample. I usually prefer flavored green teas.

★★★★★

I love this tea. for me it was very smooth and leaves you with a sweet, nutty, SLIGHTLY grassy flavor. This is my green tea of choice.

I received this one as a sample in my last order. An excellent tea! Great green tea flavor. Perfect for a cold winter's day.

★★★★★

This is a complex and very pensive tea, one that should be enjoyed slowly. The slightly clouded (with leaf-bud down) pale liquor belies its unusual fullness of body. Its flavors are subtle and excellently layered. The aroma is indeed floral-smokey, and there's a slight sweetness to the cup that balances the savory earth and smokey tones. It's no good for multiple infusions, the second having the floral-smokiness lessened alongside a typical green tea vegetal tone, without earthiness or fullness. Ignoring that, a most fine tea.

I really like this green tea, it had a different flavor then I'm used to, maybe earthy is the word?

★★★★☆

it was a basic green tea to me. just ok. nothing i would get again. but it was pretty darn good.

★★★★★

I really enjoyed this tea. It's flavor reminded me of a long train ride where you get lost in the scenery. It tastes a little charcoaly to me but maybe it was just my taste buds that day. Try the sample pack, you'll be satisfied.

Delicious, light, and flavorful. Highly recommended for green tea aficionados.

★★★☆☆

Good tea, very grassy green, somewhat light but to be expected. Not a bad tea but not one of my favorites as I prefer more smokey greens.

I like this tea, but I don't love it. There is an earthy note to this tea, but I wouldn't call it smoky or floral. Maybe I'm just not good at defining notes of teas. What it is, though, is mild, especially compared to the earthier black teas. If you want a mild tea with a little earthiness to it, you should try this.

LOVE IT!! subtle, a good blend of slightly earthy and slightly sweet. very enjoyable. perfect for a mid afternoon tea!

I don't know how to make green tea properly. I've never been able to brew it and actually enjoy the product.

Very good green taste, with a delicious aftertaste.

★★★★☆

This is a nice mellow green tea. It has a smooth taste with smokey undertones. Quite enjoyed it.

I'm not usually a big fan of green teas, but this was actually quite good! Not as harsh as the green tea I'm used to, that's for sure. Very forgiving, too - I just put a few big pinches in my bodum press, poured some boiling water in, and left it to brew while I tidied my room, and I was rather pleased with the way it turned out.

★★★★☆

This is a great tea, nutty and smooth when you get the temperature and time down.

★★★★☆

This is a nice tea. Not my usual choice of flavor, but it is tasty.

★★★★★

I tried this because adagio offered me a free sample, but it's amazing! Definitely going to order more soon.<3

★★★☆☆

Make no mistake, the regular Pi Lo Chun and the Tai Lake versions are very different from each other. With that being said, I wasn't very impressed with the regular one. Didn't find it to be very rich, and would even describe it as a bit watery for a green tea.

★★★★☆

This tea is nice but fell a little flat. It was perfumey in the bag but failed to wow in the cup. I might try messing with brewing time and temperature in hopes of yielding a better cup.

★★★★★

Delicious green tea that is similar to a dragonwell.

★★★★★

Wonderful! This tea had wonderful depth, good balance, beautifully rich and light. The smokiness was surprisingly complementary to the floral hints, and was nicely balanced by the grassy notes.

★★★★★

Pi lo chun tastes a lot like a cross between jasmine silver needle and osmanthus, maybe with a touch of another mellow green in there somewhere. The flavor is light, slightly floral, and has a hint of mineral-like complexity with multiple steeps. I'd definitely recommend it.

I received this tea as part of a sampler replacement and was at first a bit hesitant to try it (due to the smoky quality, which I don't enjoy). However the floral scent of the tea won me over, and I enjoyed it while studying for finals. A wonderful balance.

Very delicate, floral and slightly sweet. I like strong tea, and this one is sensitive to over steeping (will be bitter). I would recommend this to someone who prefers white tea, but is wants to get into green.

Extremely subtle and smooth without even a hint of astringency. It has a clean, fresh aroma like that of just after a rainstorm, with sweet undertones instead of the usual green tea grassy notes.

A nice and nutty green tea that will give you a warm feeling all over. Yum.

★★★★★

A lovely, mild, green tea. Perfect to start the day with.

★★★★☆

A solid green tea, not overly astringent or harsh.

It's not too overpowering and it has a nice earthy/sweet flavor that I enjoy in my green tea. It's one I might consider purchasing again after my sample runs out.

★★★★☆

This tea was not astounding, but it was a pretty good one.

I am looking for a vegetal geen tea and this sample was not it at all. It was very smokey in flavor, almost left the feeling of eating bacon on my tongue. It was different and worth a try, but not my favorite. I starting weighing my teas instead of trying to figure out what the dreaded teaspoon is on some teas and it has made a huge difference in consistency. 2g-3g for 6oz of water depending how strong you like it.

I'm more of a black tea drinker, but I got this to broaden by palette and I have to say I love it. Very thirst-quenching.

★★★★☆

another tempermental tea.. i like it as much as tai lake pi lo chun if you get the time and temp right.

★★★☆☆

this is nothing special. too grassy for me to enjoy

★★★★☆

The tea was nice and light. Taste better by itself without any sugar or milk.

★★★★☆

Brisk and grassy green tea. Very clean tasting - no smokiness.

★★★☆☆

I received the Pi Lo Chun as a sample added to my order. It has a light, delicate flavor, not bad for a dessert tea. I usually prefer a more full-flavored tea, but this is nice to warm up as part of a late night snack.

I left this steep for, I kid you not, an hour. I was amazed that it was quite forgiving and not bitter even though it has a nice smokey quality. I prefer this over gunpowder for a smokey green.
