This tea was sweet without being too sweet I absolutely loved it
This was pretty good! I'd order it again. I didn't add anything to this one. Fun blend of fruity and green.
Delicious blend of fruit and green tea. Excellent iced. Refreshing and flavorful. It's a popular summer drink in my family.
Not always a fan of flavored green teas--I prefer them without additives, but this one is excellent and is right up there with my favorites from Adagio. Plenty of cantaloupe and melon taste. Nice sipper.
There is not a tea here that I have not enjoyed. Love the subtle flavors, nice aromas and the wonderful selection. I tend to purchase green teas and herbal teas. Melonberry and Raspberry are my favorite green teas.
I purchased this to make iced tea this summer, and loved the soft and authentic flavor profile. Perfect for Boba at home!
Probably one of the most unflavorable flavored teas I have ever tasted. There was no watermelon or strawberry flavors in the packet, just straight up green tea. Truth be told, even the green tea wasn't fantastic. It was bland as a hot tea, so I poured it over ice, which was not a big improvement.
Didn't have a lot of flavor, but was refreshing. I drank it hot and want to try again cold to see if that expands the flavor profile.
I was looking forward to trying this flavor and it left me disappointed. I tried it both hot and cold. When hot I felt it was too sweet and perhaps that was my fault as I did add a little honey not knowing how sweet it would be on its own. But later when I tried it as an unsweetened iced tea, I could taste more of the grassiness of the green tea and it definitely left an impression, just not the one I was hoping to achieve.
Tried as a CommuniTEA sample. I'm not much of a green tea drinker and tend to like the light or minty ones. This green tea is a little too strong for me and I don't really care for fruit mixed with it.
I could make out the mild watermelon flavor. The green tea flavor was strong and tasted much better with a table spoon of monkfruit.
This tea was a little too sweet and fruity for me, especially for a green tea...
The last thing I need is another tea on my coveted wish list. That’s exactly what I got! I love this tea, the sweet melon flavor was so delicious hot with some cream. I can imagine served cold it would be a delicious little creamy pop of flavor. Lovely! The green tea was not overpowering.
Not a bad tea. The aroma is overall quite pleasant. You get that vegetal green note mingling with summer berry. The scent gave an excellent hint as to the flavor profile that you will be met with.
While hot, it is a lovely, light grassy flavor with mild notes of berry weaving in and out. After letting it cool, the berry flavor became a little more heightened.
I never got any melon from this tea, but regardless, it is still quite a nice sipper.
Leaving for my CommuniTea review for today. When opened this had a nice fruity scent to it. Once brewed I was hoping for a strong melonberry flavor to go with the smell before brewing. Unfortunately, while hot, the green tea over powers the fruity flavor. However as it cools you begin to get more and more of the fruity flavors coming through as the earthiness of the green tea takes a back seat. I was afraid I had over steeped my first brew on it so I did steep it a second time and made sure I only steeped it for 3 minutes. I still have the same problem with this tea. The earthy green notes over power the fruity flavors. I like it at room temperature but not hot.
This is a great tea that I prefer cold brewed. It's a bit tart but not overwhelmingly.
This tastes like a regular green tea with the smallest hint of what you could call fruit.
As a cold brew, this tea left me very pleasantly surprised. There's a light fruitiness that leans more toward strawberry than melon (a plus, in my opinion) that plays well with the herbaceous green tea base, which brings a suggestion of mint to the party. The result is a wonderfully refreshing, light iced tea that I could see myself drinking all day.
I cold-steeped this and got nothing except grass. Seriously, tasted no watermelon or any fruit at all. Just green tea. It wasn't an offensive green tea, just not as advertised. This one is pretty forgettable for me.
I had a hard time deciding if I liked this tea. My first impression when the tea was hot was that it tasted too earthy for my taste and I didn't get much of the strawberry or melon flavors. Cooling it and pouring over ice brought out more of the fruit flavors. Adding a fresh sliced strawberry brought it to the next level. (3 minutes @ 180°)
This was a delightful tea. I picked up on notes of watermelon right away!
I always always drink my tea hot, but after reading reviews, I decided to be adventurous and try this one iced to get the full effect. My conclusion? Drinking it chilled absolutely brings out the best of the watermelon flavor, and that makes for a lot of entertaining sips. However, I’m not a big fan of the taste of the green tea when chilled. It’s definitely grassy, and I just feel like it’s not adding anything to the fruit flavors in this blend. Fun to try, though!
don't know if this was my teapot or what but it just tasted like weak faintly fruity water
I didn’t get much flavor from this, even after accidentally letting it oversteep. It was pleasant enough green tea that I enjoyed poured over ice, but I couldn’t taste the other flavors. 🤷🏼♀️
This tea is light and fresh. I really enjoy it cold. The flavor is not very strong but it's enough that it's enjoyable.
Communitea review: This is a light, refreshing summer tea. The fruit flavors are well balanced, not overpowering. It would probably taste great iced.
Nothing but a grassy taste with a bitter aftertaste. I tasted no berries even with a touch of sugar.
I cold brewed this tea. But it just wasn't for me. I didn't much care for the watermelon taste.
Update: So I made this tea hot this time. Still not for me.
As a person who is generally wary of green tea, this fruit bomb of Melon and strawberry was just the thing for my sweet tea obsession.
I really liked this flavored green tea. It has a yummy fruity berry like flavor to it. It's not grassy at all. I really wished I would have tried it cold brewed too. It was very yummy hot but it seems like the perfect flavor for an iced tea. Maybe next time.
UPDATED from 2/1/21: A fruity smell emits from the CommuniTEA packet as it opens, and the many interesting ingredients steep into a pale yellow tea. The flavor is of a watermelon rolling down a fresh green grassy hill, as strawberries leapfrog over it. Since a watermelon has such a light watery flavor, the hibiscus and strawberries help give this tea a stronger fruitiness. For the second steep ¼ teaspoon of sweetener (to 10 oz) brings out more of the fruit flavor and reduces the green tea astringency. As the tea cools it gets fruitier, so this would be great as an ice tea. (2:30 mins @ 180ºF + sweetener).
In the bag: All advertised ingredients have joined the party. Looks like the Adagio photo.
On the nose (pre-steep): Grassy notes of green tea are the main notes. I get hints of watermelon or strawberry if I sniff the packet at just the right angle.
On the nose (post-steep): Additive scents have reduced to the barest of hints. If I were sniffing this blind, I would guess a naked green.
On the tongue (pre-sweetener): Grassy flavors of green around all parts of my tongue. No melon or berries. No astringency.
On the tongue (post-sweetener): I get the tiniest bit of strawberry in the aftertaste.
Opinion: Meh. It smelled delicious before the steep, but the additives fled as soon as they saw water. And I'm not much a fan of naked greens.
Preparation: First steep 3 min, second steep 6 min. Both @ 175 ℉. ½ teaspoon monk fruit sweetener.
A light green tea with hints of strawberry. Hibiscus comes through and lends to the pale pink color and tartness. . I don’t pick up on the melon. I steeped at low temp for 3min and enjoyed without honey.
This came in an iced tea pouch with the spring tea sampler set and now again with CommuniTEA.
I didn't care for it cold brewed then, and I don't care for it hot brewed now. I have a hot brewed portion in the fridge, but I'm not holding my breath.
Cold
I had to add a ton of cream to it to hide the vegetal greens. Soooo not for me.
very melon mix with green tea my husband likes it! we put some honey and steep it longer for more flavor!
My husband loves this tea. Hot or iced. It is one of the go to teas for him.
This tea is more flavorful brewed cold than hot and mostly tastes like cucumbers. Refreshing, but not what I was expecting.
A smooth, slightly fruity green tea that is quite refreshing with ice. The fruit does not overpower the green tea, and they blend together easily.
The melon taste came through beautifully and complimented the green tea blend just right. I cold brewed this, and it was at its best with lots of ice to give it a good, arctic sting to the tongue.
Absolutely positively amazing. This is the best green tea flavor i have tried for iced delicious refreshing.
A vibrant and crisp green tea flavor with a hint of melon. It was not as fruity as I would have expected from the name with mostly melon notes.
Brewed into an iced tea. Very smooth and delicate melon flavor. Very much enjoyed this one! Will definitely order again.
I was imagining a green tea that tasted like melona. Unfortunately (at least for me) that's not what I got. There is *some* melon to this, but the flavor is subtle.
This is my favorite Adagio summertime tea to serve iced. I use Adagio's glass pitcher, throw a few spoonfuls of the tea in the strainer that comes with it, pop it in the fridge, and enjoy the next day. Super easy!
Watermelon and green tea do not mix well together in this tea. Sounded great but did not live up to expectations.
Tea is very light and refreshing tasting, with a definite fruity flavor. Also naturally sweet. Tastes like mix of watermelon and strawberry, with slightly more emphasis on the watermelon.
I think fruity greens are the tea for me! I really enjoyed this cup
Today's CommuniTea packet is melonberry green with green tea, apple pieces, hibiscus, strawberry and watermelon flavors, and strawberries. I cold brewed it and it was okay, but neither the watermelon nor strawberry was very pronounced. I had a pitcher of iced peppermint mint tea, so I mixed the melonberry with peppermint and it improved. For me, most things improve with peppermint. :-) I might try it again to see if more tea per serving improves the flavor. Cold brewed in 12 ounces of water for about 12 hours, then mixed half and half with peppermint tea.
I'm not sure but this tea just doesn't do it for me, I don't get a strong crisp green tea flavor and the berry isn't very noticeable, I just get a faint watermelon and I think as I continue to age, you see what I did there, im beginning to dislike watermelon, weird but true. I hope if you like watermelon you loved this tea. Just not for me💜
Nice when cold brewed and iced. Mild green tea with a hint of berry and melon. Refreshing on a hot summer day.
