★★★★☆

This is definitely a robust savory green tea, strong notes of sauteed veggies and even a bit of a tofu taste to it. I like it, works best with really short steeps though or it gets a but too bitter quickly. I found a start of 10s, and then adding 15s each steep made for a good session

I like this tea. It is not always available. Probably many people love it.

another great green. This and the pi lo chun are my two go-to teas for green.

This is a pretty strong green tea. I went for the lower recommended steep time, and it's got a good bold flavor. I bet people who think green tea is too light would like this. It's a little smokey.

This is a good tea but do not overdo it. A little goes a long way or it gets too bitter.

★★★★★

Smooth and flavorful a great tea and a great deal

★★★★★

I really enjoyed this, it has a fairly strong flavor which I like but if you steep it for too long it becomes very bitter quickly ( I dont mind bitterness though).

★★★★★

A very nice green tea. Very light. Slightly floral. Delicious!

One of the best green teas I've had. Subtle sweetness and grassy notes.

Wonderful green tea, very light and has a lovely sweet finish. My personal favorite green tea.

nothing special here wouldn't buy again...

★★★★★

This tea is now one of my favorites. Its a green tea that isn't too powering when it comes to taste that you can still enjoy the green tea experience with an amazing flavor at the same time.

★★★★★

Grassy and slightly sweet, exactly what I want from a green tea. You may need a bit more than a spoon of leaves per cup, though, as it steeps relatively weak.

★★★★☆

For such a light-looking tea it has a very complex taste. It starts out a bit grassy, then turns nutty, and then hoppy. A very good tea.

★★★☆☆

A very mediocre green tea in my opinion. It tasted like a lower quality 'sleeping dragon'.

★★★★★

I loved the look of the tea swirls and watching it unfurl. The tea was amazing i will definitely keep it in stock

★★★★★

This might be the most adorable tea I've ever had. More to the point, it's got that very clean bitterness the best green teas do, making it perfect for cutting through sticky summer afternoons.

★★★★☆

this tea is very average and is good for every day use

★★★★★

A very full and earthy taste that is a great all-around green tea to have lying around.

★★★☆☆

Beautiful to watch unfurl and steep, but the flavor was only average. Pleasant, but not spectacular.

Amazing, thanks for having this tea available! I enjoyed it hot, it wasn't grassy, just smooth and enjoyable.

I liked the look of this green but the flavor wasn't as good as some other greens to me.

★★★☆☆

Not necessarily suggested, I would stick with my traditional imports from Taiwan and Vietnam that my grandma gets me. It'll do if you use a french press to get rid of some of the particles. Best brewed for a short time on a low temperature in my opinion. Still testing out like a scientist.

This velvety jade will not leave you indifferent.

★★★★☆

This is a good mellow green tea. It's a little grassy, but has a hint of sweetness.

★★★★☆

It has a nice nutty flavor. Be careful not to oversteep it, the 'boldness' isn't particularly forgiving.

★★★★★

I love this tea. Very smooth, dry finish. I like it much better than Dragon pearls

Love this! A beautiful, complex green, plus it's pretty to look at.

Smells lovely dry, a little grassy and floral. Nice and light with light-medium smokey mid notes and fairly dry at the end.

Really nice green tea. I like it with a touch of sweetener. Not too grassy. The tight little rolls of tea leaves open up a lot! So you don't need to use a full tsp per cup.

★★★★☆

Nice, light green tea flavor, easy to drink. I'm a big fan of the rolled leaves.

★★★☆☆

The name sounded interesting but the tea is just average

★★★★☆

I like this tea. It is quite yummy and I will definitely be getting more of this in the future

★★★★☆

Not my favorite green, but I added a half a tablespoon of spearmint to the tea pot and it really spiced it up.

I had trouble figuring out this tea. It has the slight smokiness and maybe the slight white grapeyness to it, as well as a slight herbiness which I guess would be the hops, but it didn't seem all that flavorful. I'm fairly certain I tried it a second time with more leaf and had the same result. It didn't hold my interest for very long.

Just bought this one to try. Had seen the description and wanted to try, but it was out of stock. This one really surprised me. Another rolled Chinese green, this one has silver fuzzy leaves rolled in. It has a similar profile to the sleeping dragon, but this one leaves a very clean feeling in your mouth. Like the description says, almost a hoppy-like endnote. Great cup, and don't use too many leaves. Re-steep a low-temp and for only a minute to continue to get that like smoky-nutty cup!

A new favorite!! Yummy yummy! It's a great green tea and it's so much fun watching the snail leave open up. You don't want to scorch the leaves so don't brew at too high of a temperature. Remove the leaves as soon as you can so you don't get an overly bitter taste although this tea stays smooth. It's a husky flavor that reminds me of sitting in the forest on a rainy day if you can imagine that in a cup. lol. This will be one of those teas I keep on repeat.

★★★★☆

This is one of those teas I would recommend to people new to green tea. It's light and mild and not overpowering. But it lacks a dynamic flavor profile.

★★★★☆

I really got this for my evenings, but I'm drinking it all the time. It's a very mellow tea, brews beautifully and tastes earthy.

Reminds me a bit of gunpowder tea. A nice flavor, more potent than some green teas. Be careful not to oversteep or it becomes bitter to the point of being undrinkable.

★★★★☆

The first time I tried it, I must have steeped it with water that was too cool, because it had almost no taste. The second time, however, I could taste the white grape, though not the smokiness the description had me expecting. It was very similar to anhui emerald seed in that it had more flavor than I was expecting.

This is a pleasently mellow green tea. When I first smelled it, it had a very grassy smell to it. After brewing it has a pleasent smokey aroma. It tastes a lot like gunpowder but has a subtle nutty undertone to it.

Pretty good green tea on the whole. I was hoping for a little more depth of flavor, but it is in no way overly grassy or astringent. I was looking for a new go-to green tea, but while this one was a perfectly fine tea in itself, it lacks that je ne sais quai I'm looking for.

3 min steep · 180°F · 1 helpful votes

★★★★☆

This was a good plain green tea. It doesn't have a very strong distinct flavor to me, but it's a tiny bit smokey and not bitter. A decent choice if you just want a plainer green tea.
