One of the best teas I have had from adagio. This tea compares to Teavanas Golden Dragon at a fraction of the cost. This tea however is better, and tastes fresher. Notes of honey.
Great because it has a flavor profile I enjoy akin to its description, light, subtle but not flavorless. If you like Taiwanese oolongs or darjeelings, I can't imagine that you wouldn't like this tea. Oh, and it's great because it's a superb value

Not all green teas were created equal. Hunan gold in particular is top shelf. like the description says, it is reminiscent of 'tippy' darjeeling, but also has the grassy, floral tones of a complex green.

This was an odd tea. It was green, but looked, smelled and tasted more like a black tea. It is good if you are making a shared pot of tea for people who like black or green teas.

I love this tea, I love everything about it. I brews to a nice dark gold color, wonderful smell, and a strong yet smooth taste.
Color is much more brown than I'm used to from my favorite green teas (sencha's and gyokuro). The taste is mild and not too bitter. Overall I like it for something different than my usual selections.
Came across this tea in a local ice cream shop (they served it iced). I came home and immediately ordered it. Very light and refreshing with a flavor like a perfect mix of a black and white tea. For a really strong flavor, I would recommend using two teaspoons per cup.

The liquor has a darker color than I expected, rich gold rather than pale gold. The scent before brewing was green and vegetal. after brewing, it's toasty and sweet. Actually, it smells like an Assam. Huh. But the flavor is WAY lighter than the scent and color implied. Toasty and sweet. low astringency. Not weak or watery, but barely there. I had to let it cool a while before I could taste anything. One of the other reviewers called it 'subtle.' That's probably a good word.

Tastes like a green and a white tea, but much more forgiving than white tea if you're like me and don't pay much attention to the temperature of your water. Delicious and smells great!
I love this tea! It's mildly malty and toasty up front, but melts into a light, fruity flavor. So delicious and delicate, and really different from most greens I've had.
First up, the aroma is like spring time, specifically it evokes my favorite flower (ok one of them, I really love flowers) peony! It also has the aroma of delicate orange blossoms, chestnuts, and just a hint of mown grass and honey. The notes are delicate, reminding me more of a breeze bringing in these aromas through an open window rather than sitting next to a spring bouquet.
First steep is pleasantly golden in color, I admit I was expecting a lighter tea, but this color is really pretty so I am totally ok with it. There is a similarity to Darjeeling, a bit muscatel and like nasturtium, though the similarity is fairly mild. The real show stopper with this tea is peony, more teas need to taste like peony! I love that not quite heady spring aroma and taste that peony notes give to a tea, it makes me immensely happy. There are also notes of corn fluff (as I like to call corn silk) and bok choy.
A refreshing change in green tea flavors! I love mixing it with lemon grass!

It seems like a lot of people really love this tea. It wasn't for me I suppose. I found it abrasive for some reason. I won't be ordering it again but it was not awful by any means, just not for me
