The ultimate morning tea. Smooth mouth feel. A favorite in our house.
Steamed green tea from Japan. Gyokuro is among the finest of Japanese teas. Deeply sweet, aroma of freshly buttered greens - no grassiness or harshness. Soft on the palate with a balanced, delicate finish. Soothing and centering cup of tea.

The ultimate morning tea. Smooth mouth feel. A favorite in our house.
One of the best green teas, it even has a nutty flavor at the end
My families fav but a bit pricey to buy very often.
Just ordered this tea for the first time. It is very good, worth the price.
Outstanding cup of green tea. Deep leafy green tea taste without being bitter or tasting too earthy. Brew carefully and it has a very nice pear flavor.
Best green tea I’ve had...can’t get through the day without it.
Great flavor and price for a high quality gyokuro.
This is one of my favorite green teas ever! It has a very mild 'grassy' undertone and a subtle sweetness on the back end. It is also very low in astringency (pending it is steeped at a low enough temperature). The smell is also divine. Overall, this is a solid green tea and one sip will help you to understand why it is truly one of the best green teas around.
I love this tea. I drink it all day. The bitter taste really works for me.
Has a very strong taste one I personally would l not order again.
My new favorite green tea. I'll be ordering more. It has a nutty kind of flavor that I really like.
This is my favorite of all green teas I have tried. Add a few sugar rocks and it will get you go all day.
Imagine Sencha but with even more umami flavor and absolutely no astringency. If you like green tea but want a little extra caffeine kick, Gyukuro may be for you. Also note that Gyukuro is higher in L-THeanine than your typical Sencha, and so it produces a much more pronounced calming effect.
Would definitely recommend.
Excellent green tea. Very light and flavorful. I've only ever purchased this tea from Adagio so I can't comment on how it compares with other companies as I see that others have done.
When Teavana closed I was distraught as to where I would purchase my teas from. Adagio is an excellent replacement.
This is my favorite kind of tea fresh natural taste. awakening and relaxing in one beverage.
This is an excellent Japanese green tea. The taste is very delicate, without any bitterness, and it is worth the price in my opinion.
Absolutely excellent tea. I just got the fresh batch and it is AMAZING. So far this is one of my favorite greens I’ve tried here, along with sleeping dragon and sencha premier.
Love this green tea. Gyokuro has a very nice mouth feel without being astringent. It is not delicate like Tencha, more heady. I have a hard time deciding between Gyokuro and Sencha when I'm wanting a medium depth green tea.
I like it. I like it.I like it.I like it.I like it.
Very grassy but in a good way. I could sip on this all day long
I was worried about the quality when compared with Gyokuru Imperial from Teavana. The quality is the same; maybe better!
Very good! It took a few cups for me to end up liking this, but I'm glad I did!
Wow, a splurge, but amazing flavor and worth it for a periodic cup of tea.
This has a lot of umami, and turns out very smooth (i.e. not bitter) if brewed at low temperatures.
One of the best teas out there. Low astringency, savory, and makes you feel really good. Highly recommend.
I only tried this because Teavana was to difficult to deal with, however once finding Adagio I liked this Gyokuro even better, I had to get some more Teavana just to make sure and both my husband and tasted an even better tea!,
This tea is my absolute favorite!
Nice flavor. Just what I want from a green tea. Always a good staple item that I ha e to have in my cabinet.
Smooth, soft green tea. Expensive; but Gyokuro always is (and worth it).
Very very good taste I like this green tea so much😋
I’ve been drinking gyokuro tea for years. I discovered Adagio and decided to give it a try. Their tea is fantastic at a very reasonable price. The customer service was top notch as well. I’m now a regular customer. PS: try your gyokuro cold brew, it’s great!
I like my tea lite. Perfect! Always fresh and pure!
I freely admit that I am not a connoisseur and don t usually get the same notes that others seem to but I keep trying new teas. For me, this tea smelled a bit like chicken broth and, as a vegan, it s hard to get past that! I will try mixing it with something else just to get the green tea benefit.
Pretty good, but I ve had other green teas that I ve enjoyed more. Not as grassy as I was expecting.
One of my favorite green teas! It just has a great flavor to me.
A substantial improvement from Adagio's sencha tea. Take your Japanese tea game to the next level without breaking the bank for matcha. Be sure not to oversteep this one, as the delicate flavors are easily obscured by too-hot water or too long of a steep.
One of my favorite green teas, though it took a bit of getting used to do to the strong green flavor. I love this one in the mornings instead of coffee, as it keeps me going throughout the day.
I found this tea very similar to Sencha but with more flavor.
I've been using white tea for a while, so maybe that's why this tasted so harsh. Definitely stick to the two-minute steep time.
This is quickly becoming my favorite green tea. It is completely smooth and somehow savory.
Fairly bland green tea, but the best of the Gyokuros I've tried. I'm guessing there's a great blend here somewhere.
Just the best. I've had other gyokuros, and this is one of the absolute best, especially for the price. Vegetal, buttery (and delicious to eat on rice when you're done steeping!)
I love this tea! i never tasted Gyokuro until I stepped into an adagio store for teas tasting. The minute I tasted it, I know I will have to buy it. I bought a 16 oz :-)
I rebrew theleaves twice or thrice , and then add them to my cottage cheese/yogurt as a afternoon snack.
This tea is a really strong green tea, however it is lovely!
This is my 'alt' green tea staple. It's got a much greener and brighter flavor to it. I'll admit, somehow it tends to have the same 'gatta go' effect that coffee does.
The tea itself looks like dark pieces of grass. The smell is very grassy, but I love teas like that so it was very pleasant.
Beautiful, brothy beverage. Perfect palette cleanser between dishes.
Wow! I love this tea, and so did my friends at the office. Gone in no time.
This tea is fantastic. Smells great and it is super smooth.
