Very plesent flavor and aroma. Very high quality.

I enjoy the smokiness of the tea. It was not overpowering such as other brands I have tried. Of course it pairs very well with the peppermint>>Moroccan mint.

Always a staple in my tea cabinet. Mixes well with mint for a Moroccan Mint or superb by itself.

this tea has a bold taste and was enjoyed by myself and my friends. you cant make to too strong or it will become bitter

This tea ssmells and tasted just like a used smoking pipe. Which, for me, is perfect. Very smooth and soothing.

Gunpowder is a more smoky/deeper tea and I like that just be careful not to over steep, and like the description says is good if you throw in peppermint or spearmint

I normally like the smoky notes of a deep, full gunpowder. Yet the tea I received from Adagio's leaves a nasty bit of grimy sediment in the cup. Tastes alright, with a slight tinge of grime. I hope customer service will help me with this bad sample of tea.

Very, very smokey flavor that is probably not for all. I can understand people who don't like it and think its like an ashtray, but I find its smoky flavor interesting.

My least favorite green out of the samples I ordered. This one tasted too oolong-y for my liking, and lacked the nutty flavor I like so much.

At first I was not so sure about this tea. It smelled a little too strong the more I drank it, the more I liked it. Just don't steep it for longer than is recommended unless you like bitter tea.

This tea has a very interesting smokey taste. If brewed right, it tastes very good.

This is an ok green tea but had a bland taste to me.

The flavor was ok, but the thing that made this bad for me is the powder in the tea from the processing. I like to finish my cup of tea and not throw out the last bit.

Strong smokey taste. Not for those who are looking for a mild sipping tea. I like flavorful teas yet this tea is a little too strong for my tastes. Will probably not order again.

While I was brewing this the smell really turned me off but I really wanted to try it anyway and it's definitely good and something I'll be ordering again.

This is a good quality gunpowder. I'll prepare it straight from time to time, but I really like to mix it with peppermint or spearmint

This tea smells true to its name. It is a strong green with heavy particles (i.e. it is not a clear cup of tea).

It has very fresh smell, but the tea turns brownish green soon. Good for tough tea lovers.

I really liked this green tea. It's not bitter if you don't steep it for over 3 minutes. The aroma is relaxing in itself.

I'd never tried gunpowder before, so I didn't really know what to expect. It was a little smokey for my taste.

Oh my God...this next to silver needle of course is my favorite. I was almost put off by this one the first time I made it from the sample pack. The smell resembled tobacco smoke kinda and it looked very odd as it is leaves hand rolled into balls. As it brewed the small became more predominant and it actually stunk to me. But not to be outdone by the gunpowder I went through with my taste test, and all i can say is that I am sooo glad I did. I dont know if its supposed to be, but to me this is such a complex tea that it takes several cups to truly enjoy its greatness. I have noticed different 'nuiances' in every cup so far and I HAD to add this to my collection. This, with silver needle of course, is one of 4 teas that I will never run out of. :)

Gunpowder isn't for everyone and some may find it challenging, but it is a very good cup of tea. It's an uncharacteristic grassy, smokey tea, and probably isn't what most people are looking for in a green tea, but if you can appreciate the variety of flavors that it offers, it is a very good tea.

A natural, earth-toned tea. By itself, not to harsh for a green tea. I am a mixer, and am still working on a combination that suits and preserves its flavor (peppermint, spearmint...).

I have drank many different gunpowder tea's. This was as good as any of them.

I put 3 teaspoons of gunpowder in 1 of my wife's coffee filters, and held it in 3 cups of steaming, but not boiling water in a pot on the stove for 3 minutes, and it made the best green tea I have ever tasted! I will be ordering more of gunpowder!

I really tried to like this. The flavor itself is alright. However, it smells like an ashtray to me. I've tried it several times with the same result, paying careful attention to steeping time, and even decreasing the amount of tea per cup. My husband smelled it and refused to drink it. A member of my family liked it, and indicated that it smelled like a sauna.

I love this tea. A rich, smokey flavor that's not really delicate, but makes a good, strong, every day kind of tea.

Mixes well with the mint for a moroccan mint style tea.

This is one of my two go to teas. It holds up delishishly on it's own, yet enhances my herb infusions nicely. I have been using it for over a decade. Adagio gunpowder is my fav.

This tea was a bit green for me, a bit grassy taste. I found it much better hen mixed with Peppermint to make Moroccan tea.

This is a fun tea that is a little smokey and quite flavorful.

So far my favorite green tea. It is nice and full bodied. I love the smokey flavor. It is not what I would think of for a green tea.

This was an ok green tea. Little pellets that unroll to make a mild earthy tasting tea. Good but nothing special.

This is not something for me. The odor of te dried tea is very similar to Mate. I did n't like it, but you may.

I love this tea. I has a great smokey flavor and is great hot. I'm kind of a lazy steeper, but this tea has never come out bitter or overpowering, even when I forget to stop steeping it. If you're looking for a light green tea with a little something extra, this is a great tea to try.

A dark green tea whose buds explode with flavor. I enjoyed it very much after a few moderate tries.
