If you're looking for a general kind of generic sweet green tea, you've found it. This tea isn't overwhelmingly great, but it does have a nice sweet, almost honey like flavor within its general green tea flavor.
Softly sweet with nut-like notes, this China green large pearl takes its time to fully unfurl.

First off this tea was a wonder to watch it unfurl in my PerfecTea Maker. After some experiment, I do slightly agree a longer steeping time is needed. But this is a very nice green tea, perfect for beginners.
Easy to clean up (from a metal mesh enclosure) with a bit more subtle jasmine note compared to the Jasmine Phoenix Pearls. I need to blend with another flavor to fully enjoy. Prefer the JPP (worth the cost delta).
Oddly enough, this tastes like my ginseng oolong from Taiwan. I had to relook at the bag to be sure which tea i was drinking. It's not any green I'm use to. It's ok, but i wouldn't buy it again, esp if it resembles teas I have already.
You'll definitely get a few cups out of one pearl! The flavor is nice though a little light and subtle for my preference.
Not a grassy green tea at all. It's really smooth and kind of light. I personally like my green tea a little stronger, this one was kind of mellow. I wasn't sure how many pearls to add, they were so much bigger than I imagined. I used one pearl for one cup of tea and it was mellow. I imagine you could steep it again and/or use another pearl.
With one 'ball' of tea I was able to make two cups :)
Always a great staple in the tea cabinet. The pearls just make it even more special.
One of my favorites- hard to oversteep and easy to brew multiple times. Usually get 2-3 pots from each pearl.
These take a bit longer than stated on the package. It's tough to tell. You need to keep an eye on them. Not my favorite green tea but it's not bad. I would actually use honey for this and I don't sweeten my teas.
I wanted to love this tea but no. It was bitter and brown... I really didn't enjoy it at all. Sorry :(
I love green dragon pearls. It has a smooth green tea flavor.
finally found a green tea that i can enjoy. its not too grassy and doesn't have the vitamin taste i found in other green teas. it has a really light honey or sweet nutty flavor. i only steeped for 3 min so i can probably get another couple of cups from 1 ball. i will try steeping in longer increments to see how the flavor develops.
Yum x 2 on these pearls. Doesn't take much to make an excellent cup.
Lovely tea! Each pearl is 2 serving! Great for a small teapot!
Lovely flavor, not at all grassy - reminds me of iced tea. Can brew 2 cups from 1 pearl. This is my new favorite.
Didn't have much flavor to it even with multiple steeping and adjusting temp and time.
Bitter if left in liquid for over two hours, otherwise good. I was able to get 2-3 steepings out of each pearl in my sample
Not the delicate, grassy flavor I usually prefer in green teas. It acts more like a black tea in that regard, but the flavor is great! I made this specifically for iced tea, and there is a honey flavor that comes out stronger than anything else.
new favourite green. subtle and great green flavour.
This tea is delicious. Will definitely buy again!
Recommended steeping time and temperature produces a pale golden liquor with a mild, smooth flavor. The pearl didn't unfurl fully until the very end of my first steep. second steep was better.
Really cool to watch the pearls come apart and the flavor of the tea is really good.
Pretty good, I wish the 'pearls' were a little smaller though. Overall the flavor is good, little gunpowdery and a little floral, decent balance.
Pretty darn good.
Very nice green. Almost grassy flavor, to me - definitely more grass than vegetable.
I bought this tea because of all the good reviews and I wasn't disappointed. This tea has a really good flavor.
Nutty and gentle. The form factor is a little different and fun.
Smooth and refreshing, I would recommend this tea.
This is a good basic green tea in a large pearl. It has a good flavor for green tea, but the thing that makes it stand out from other green teas is the pearl and not the flavor. I can get other green tea with a similar flavor, but the pearl makes transportation of this tea very easy. It is a large enough pearl, though, that I can't steep it in all of my steepers (the pearl doesn't have enough room to unfold properly).
this is an extremely light tea. it is great for when you are sick or for at night when you want something lighter.
nice sweet and mellow nutty flavor. easy to deal with while on the go so you dont have to mess with measuring. watching them unfurl is awesome!
I'm fully enjoying this. the pearls are actually quite large so make sure you're prep'd for a small pot and not just one glass.
That was a gift for my friend. I did not prepare this tea.
This is a tasty green that is accessible to the novice. I think the flavor and color of this is tremendous, but it brews inconsistently. Sometimes the pearl doesn't unfurl.
Very hoppy. Light aroma and color. Tried one. I'll try again.
I purchased this tea because of the name, and I was not disappointing. It has a nice nutty taste and the aroma is beautiful.
Still love it!
This tea is not chip. However, the money you will spend to purchase this tea, will be fully compensated by reach and unusual taste as well as by great refreshing feeling after.
This tea surprised me. I thought it was going to be smaller pearls. It has a nice nutty flavor to it.
This tea is ok. It's soothing but doesn't have a bold taste or a strong flavor unless you brew it longer than recommended.
Have had this one in r regular form, my co-workers were very fascinated to see the unfolding process...both of them enjoyed it.
Just some good green tea. The really large pearls are pretty fun and interesting too.
A mild green tea, easy to drink. I usually steep 1 pearl in a 12 oz cup and get 2-3 steeps out of it. First steep at 170, second at 175, and third at 180 seems to work best.
I was able to use a single ball for 2 cups of tea with no problem
Good tea but I like a little stronger tea myself.
Very light, mild flavor- those who don't like the grassy flavor of other green teas would like this one. After reading reviews, I used one pearl which was good for two cups and steeped it longer than recommended. No bitterness with the longer steeping.
these are perfect
A fun tea to share with my grand kids, they really enjoyed watching it unravel during the brew time. I like the pearls for the ease and use while on the road or vacation. easier for me to take this tea with me when I go out for a meal. It seems green tea is not available at all restaurants so this makes it easy to carry and use.
A perfect and simple cup of green! Flavorful and easy to prepare for those just exploring loose teas.
Very good flavor, but requires a particular mood.
