This is an interesting specimen. While still having the theme of green tea, it has the added nuances of popcorn, giving it an 'earthy' quality. Will enjoy again.

This is my husband's favorite tea, he just can't get enough. I love it too, love the nutty flavor it has.

I love the way the nuttiness of the toasted rice combines with the green tea. My favorite Adagio tea so far.

Not bad I like to call this my mystery tea. Nice to keep a sample around.

Peppy and strong flavor, though with an odd starchy aftertaste.

This tasted kind of like drinking old wet sticks, but worse.

I immediately ordered a bag of this. Awesome. I steeped this 3X with first time results every time. Not for everyone, but this tea grabbed me!

the first time I discovered genmai cha, I was delighted! and I love the adagio genmai cha. it has a good balance of nutty rice flavor that balance the green so it never tastes over-brewed. I also ordered this for my dad and he loves it as well. I have also ordered this in the 10oz quantity, and it is the only one I have completely used up and then refilled.

I was intrigued by the description but this is just not for me. I wouldn't say I hated it, but the taste was malty and the smell was not savory as I expected. I didn't really get the popcorn taste although I will finish my sample and give it another try.

What a great tea! I find the nutty taste very satisfying. The popcorn and rice makes it fun to watch while brewing. One of my favorite teas!

I cannot wait to order this one again. This is the most delicious, most flavorful green tea I've found. It's got an earthy, almost grassy flavor, and is quite potent.

Not the most delicious genmaicha I have had, but a solid everyday genmaicha. Smells really good in the tin.

I thought I would really like this, especially by the smell as it brewed. It comes off as more kernal, but the taste is VERY popcorn. I don't really get any green at all... Still not bitter, I'll finish the sample but would not order again.

I like this tea in the afternoon. Has a nutty taste due to the rice. I have a friend who hates this but I think that it is very good.

I liked the rice and popcorn here, they added their flavors to the green tea which I was unsure about. I would probably prefer to drink this instead of just the green tea leaves alone.

This stuff looks great when you open the tin. Very exotic! It looks great when you brew it. The lime green hue is amazing. The flavor is very similar to the kind of green tea you get at the sushi restaraunt, except the musty odor (i call it the aquarium smell) is gone. This is a must have for all japanese green tea fans.

I first became a fan of genmai in tea bag form. It is SO much better with whole leaves and toasted rice. A nice change from plain green tea with a nice toasty and nutty, grainy flavor. Yum!

I really enjoyed this tea. I love the way the nuttiness of the grain moderates the vegetal quality of the tea and creates interesting layers of flavor.

Was a bit worried about trying this tea but must say the popcorn and rice add a nice malty taste to the ordinary vegetable taste of greens. I gave it a good since green teas aren't really my main choice when drinking tea.

Very nutty, toasted rice flavor. It's not bad, but not something I'm used to in tea.

A tea that's both fun to drink and fun to look at, it contains dried rice and popcorn and medium-grade sencha. Despite its label, I've found that you really need to steep at about boiling to bring out the true flavors of this tea; once you do, you won't be disappointed.

I was really excited about the concept of popcorn in my tea, and this tea looks really fun and celebratory. The taste was a little much for me, though. I think it would be an acquired taste, perhaps. Personally, tastes like this were not worked into my palate growing up, and I just can't seem to enjoy this.

I didn't like this tea at all. It's Renee's fault that I ordered it. It tasted like rice water. I'm sending it back to Renee. :)

A nice tea. Tastes light, a little grassy. Not a favorite, but good for a change

interesting, but a little too kelp-y tasting for me. the puffed brown rice adds interesting visual effect, and a pleasant toasty flavor.

The rice adds those nutty, toasty notes I love in genmaichas, but the tea base just wasn't right. It was pungent like a Chinese green -- not what I expect in a Japanese tea.

This is my other favorite (along with wuyi ensemble). The corn and rice flavor combination diverges from the ordinary making plain old black tea seem mundane.

This, while tasting good, actually made my stomach kind of naseus. I'd like to try it again though!

This is now a staple in our house. Great flavor every day, also soothes any ill.

Very, very interesting tea. It look me a couple lasses to get used to it, but not I like it a lot. Good by itself or for mixing.

I got this for myself & my boyfriend. This is his absolute favorite green tea (the only one I can get him to drink regularly). I also love it & find it to be an excellent sipper tea for relaxing in the evening.

Although not inexpensive, this tea provides a great way to hydrate yourself throughout the day. I usually consume about 6 cups of this per day, and enjoy it with every cup.

The nutty flavor of this tea is wonderful. The bits of popcorn are pretty cool too.

A decent genmai cha. Very fresh and almost filling when drank on an empty stomach. I like it with japanese food and noodle dishes.

This was a very good green tea but lacked the 'nuttiness' I have experienced with this type of tea in the past.

Very Interesting. I was a little caught off guard at first, but the nutty flavor is kind of fun. I added a little bit of sugar and really enjoyed this unique cup of tea.

I couldn't get used to this tea. It was interesting, but something about the taste seemed a little like cardboard to me.

definitely works as an appetite suppressant. i made this iced and put it in a huge pitcher and in 2 days it was gone. i found myself continually going back to the fridge to get glass after glass, it was just so tasty. probably has amazing health benefits, as well.

This tea is so yummy. It's not as light as plain green because of the subtle earthy rice-like taste. It's very pleasent and great after a light lunch.

This is a good every now and a again treat that I plan to enjoy on uncommon tumes of the day. The nuttiness of it is pleasing.

love it! it leaves a popcorny aftertaste in my mouth all day. i never realized it before, but popcorn is weirdly soothing.

A new favorite of mine! I never had genmai cha before and I am pleasantly surprised. The aroma that comes off when you brew it really gets your appetite going, and the flavor is VERY pleasureable. A slight nutty, smoky flavor that's very interesting. The back story makes a good conversation piece and people love to see the puffed rice and popcorn after u brew.

This was the 2nd green tea I tried. At first I wasn't sure what to make of the roasted nutty taste, but after drinking it for a bit it grew on me. I'm looking forward to drinking it again soon.

I really wanted to like this one but it's just not for me. I liked the nuttiness but it has a strange aftertaste.

Not as great as expected, but a wonderful green tea to start the day off with.
