★★★★☆

This is a very unusual tea, with bits of puffed rice and popcorn in it. You need to make sure not to over-steep this tea, as it can get a burnt-popcorn flavor to it if you aren't careful.

★★★★★

Adore this tea. This is another one that benefits greatly from proper brewing (time and temperature). It makes a vast difference in the end result.

★★★★★

I've tried many different brands of genmai cha and this is the best I've found yet. Also found that this seems to be one of those 'love it or hate it' type of teas and that a few of my friends didn't really like the overall smell of the popped rice.

★★★★★

The idea of rice and popcorn made this an interesting tea to try. Now it's one of my favorite morning teas!

★★★★★

My favourite of all the green teas. The nutty popcorn taste is great and I love the new packaging too. Now you can see the tea without having to look at labels.

★★★★★

Very good, love the tast, both hot and iced. The scent was a little odd to me at first, but it grows on you.

★★★★★

This has become one of my staple teas. Realy unique flavor you wont find anywhere else. it tastes a lot like popcorn.

★☆☆☆☆

I realize this is a favorite of many - just did not like the green pop-corn mix, to wierd for my taste.

★★★★☆

When I first saw this tea, I thought it seemed gimmicky. I had a sampler size of it, and was thrilled to discover that I really like it.

★★★★★

We liked this one more than we thought we would. It is great for something a little different in the green teas.

★★★☆☆

This has a very distinct nutty flavor to it. Not what I was expecting, but a nice tea. This would be a great tea to serve with a savory snack, maybe a cheddar scone.

★★☆☆☆

Genmai cha is my favorite type of tea, but this one left much to be desired. The warm 'rice krispies tea' scent wasn't there, and the taste was very weak, both in terms of tea and rice-ness.

★★★★☆

Decent in the daytime when you're in the mood for something like it. Very popcorn-ey.

★★★★☆

The rice gives this tea a nice toasty flavour, that balances well with the green tea, while also reducing the amount of caffeine in the cup.

★★★★★

Yummy! Don't know why, but I find this tea best suited for cooler weather. It's got a 'toasty' aroma from the popped rice & corn. Have tried this tea from other places, Adagio's is the best!

★★★★★

i bought this for my husband after we had it at a japanese restaurant. we both love the popcorn taste with the light green tea.

★★☆☆☆

The taste of the popcorn and toasted rice has definitely got to be an acquired taste.

★★★★★

Tasty, gentle, and good for resteeping. I like the popcorny aroma.

★★★★★

This is an excellent tea, the toasted flavor that comes out from the popped rice is really refreshing when you want something a bit different from the usual.

★★★★★

I love this! It makes me want to eat a bowl of puffed rice. It definitely has a great taste.

★★★★★

This is a very unique tea. The description is true to how it tastes. It is a nice change from ordinary green tea.

★★★★☆

So werid... rice and popcorn in a tea. However, I got hooked on the sampler. This is nice change from the ordinary.

★★★★★

Fun tea, love the popcorn flavor. Great tea when you crave for something a bit more than just the plain green tea. I like this in the evening.

★★★★☆

A friend got me hooked on this stuff. This is a good basic version, nothing truly spectacular though.

★★★★☆

genmai cha is a favorite of mine. i will order more! the only reason i didn't give it a great is because the pieces are too grainy and get in my tea.

★★★★☆

very good as green teas go it's smokier than most. different and pleasant if you usually go for the darker stuff

★★★☆☆

this is one of those teas that has to grow on you. my boyfriend hated it and refused to try it again (and he NEVER has that strong of an opinion about teas), but i thought it was okay. it's not an everyday kind of tea for me, but every now and then it's good for a change.

★★★★★

When you're feeling like trying something new - this is the one to try. The puffed rice and popcorn give the tea a very unique flavor. Don't overheat the water or let it brew too long, and you will enjoy this one. You have to enjoy green tea to like this one.

★★★★☆

Pretty delicious. I was surprised that I was pleased by a popcorn and smacks flavored tea. Cool look. Cool idea.

★★☆☆☆

This tea tastes nice and nutty, but it dries my throat out terribly afterward, I don't recommend it.

★★★★☆

This is a very strange flavor to me. I'm still trying to become acclimated to this variety. Everytime I drink it, it gets better and better though!

★★★★★

i LOVE this tea. it has a great, unique scent and flavor. it is a little hard to describe, but it has a scent of popcorn and roasted rice that is just welcoming and delightful. Be warned though that this is a sensitive tea and you MUST follow the time and temp directions to a 'T' or else you will get a tea that has a over cooked, unpleasant burnt taste.

★★★★☆

Black tea is my addiction, but I try to keep some green tea around for those times when I want something different. The toasted rice and popcorn add a nice mellow toasty, nutty flavor.

★★★★★

The tea was great, and I was really disappointed you don't have it any more! Are you going to sell it again? I really hope so.

★★★★★

I'm a very big fan of this tea. I love how it smells like popcorn after steeping. It tastes nothing like popcorn but the rice in the tea definitely adds an earthly flavor that I really enjoy.

★☆☆☆☆

I hate this one more than any other one adagio sells. way too strong and bitter tasting. The taste was great and not too strong. It made great iced tea and you cannot go wrong witht his one at all

★★★★★

The nutty aroma and flavor balances out the base tea nicely, which is a good thing for me because I'm not particularly fond of green tea on its own. It's one of my favorite teas so far.

★★★★★

Interesting...if you like a roasted flavor, it works. A bit of an acquired taste.

★★★★☆

I usually favor flavored teas, but I orderd a sample of this one due to its favorable reviews and I love it! It has an unusual nutty flavor. With a bit of splenda - a real treat!

★☆☆☆☆

The only words that I can express on this one is 'Utterly Vile'. Sorry, this one was rank...

i really like this tea. it's very different from any other tea i have ever drank.

★★★★★

I just love this tea. The popcorn aroma is unexpectedly wonderful and the flavor is very subtle, not overwhelming.

★★★★☆

A mildly-flavored tea, with robust nutty flavoring.

★★★★★

My all time favorite. It takes some getting used to but don't let your first taste be your last. It's more earthy and grassy but the corn and rice only add more flavor.

★★★★★

I love this tea, but it's certainly not for all tastes. Earthy, rich, and vegetabley, it's warming and nourishing. I wouldn't drink it with food; it's more of a stand-alone flavor. I like to brew it nice and strong.

★★★★★

Genmai cha is a great introduction to green tea. The nutty aroma and flavor are nothing that you would expect. This is a very forgiving tea when it comes to turning bitter with over steeping. I enjoy this tea as iced tea because the nutty flavor seems to expand when it is chilled.

★★★★☆

This is like the tea they serve at Sushi bars with the toasted rice in it. It's fun and tastes good too.

★★★★★

This was my first genmai cha, it's a great introduction to how diverse green teas can be. A delicious and nutty everyday tea.

★☆☆☆☆

Oh god. Did I do something wrong? What did my mouth do to deserve this? It smelled good in the tin, but this was the most awful, undrinkable tea that I have ever tried. It was incredibly bitter and smelled like wet dog. I love Adagio's other teas, but this one was not for me.

holly crap! poped corn and poped rice...in tea.
lets give this kookey zaney tea a try. i thought i might like this one, but i was surprised at just how much i like this one. the poped corn flavor bursts in and is emediatly recognizable right of the bat, but then, the subtle notes and melodies of a really delicous green tea come through. i will definantly buy more of this one. possibly an aquired taste, but apparently, ive already aquired it.
