I really didn't like this! It has a burnt taste to it.

A wonderful tea with an unusual roasted flavor that I just love! I drink it virtually every day & have given it as a gift as well. This is a GREAT tea to give as a gift...but don't forget to 'gift' one to yourself. ;-)

I've had genmai cha at our local Japanese restaurant before so I was familiar with the taste of it, but Adagio's genmai cha had a much fuller flavor. If you like green tea already but want something with a bit of a kick - try this tea. The toasted rice and and popcorn really boosts the tea and makes it more satisfying.

Disappointing, taste allot like pumpkin. Historically the rice is used as a filler

A favorite! Nutty and sweet and very very good with sushi!

I wasn't sure how I'd like it at first; popcorn and tea just seemed too weird, but it's actually quite good. Tastes more like nuts than like popcorn.

This has an excellent aroma (like popcorn) and an even better taste. It tastes somewhat nutty, and the popcorn taste is noticeably great. I will definitely reorder this one.

I cannot even begin to describe how much I love this tea! The green tea combined with the small popcorn and baked rice is just ingenious! The taste is incredibly smooth and the effect is long lasting. Plus, the color and clarity of it is just amazing. Get this now!

As earthy/nutty as one would expect with popped corn and rice in it. A little strange, but definitely worth trying

I love this tea. Really love it. It was one of the first teas I tried, and I crave it every day. I love the aroma and flavor, which somehow makes me think of sesame.

Smelled like nori (dried seasoned seaweed). Tasted all right, more robust than your usual green tea. I don't think I'll order it again, though. I prefer tea to be more floral/sweet than nutty.

I love this tea. It looks really unique and the aroma and flavor are slightly nutty. Great with honey.

We found that by itself genmai cha is too harsh, but when mixed with equal parts of green pekoe with an added teaspoon of honey, this makes one of the most delightfully complex drinks.

Unfortunately, I ignored the fact that I dislike popcorn and tried this tea anyway. The overwhelming aroma of popcorn runined it for me. Had I been able to drink it with my nose pinched shut, maybe it would have been better. This is the first tea I've ever had that tasted EXACTLY like it smelled. If you enjoy popcorn, go for it. If you don't, avoid it.

An interesting tea. I'm not a huge popcorn fan, but I was very intrigued to try this tea. I would only recommend this tea to people who actually do like popcorn, as there is a rather strong flavor in the tea. Fun to try, but not my favorite.

At first, I was freaked out by the smell drifting up from my InginuiTea. It was toasty, and smelled like popcorn (duh, yeah I know what you're thinking) The taste however was pleassant and warm. Good on the cold NewEngland mornings. I am enjoying the sampler, but I probably wont buy again.

The brown rice gives this tea a wonderful nutty taste, and allows you to steep it longer without bitterness.

Some people are not crazy about this tea but I think it's quite nice and different. It tastes rather 'roasty' due to the rice and popped rice. I love it!

I've been drinking this tea for years, but it's becomming difficult to find which is how I discovered Adagio! It's not as scary as it seems - the brown rice and popcorn add a wonderful nutty toasty flavor to the grassy green tea which adds another dimension. Plus, it's beautiful. Try it!

very nice tea. it has a tendency to oversteep easily so the safest way to make it well is to sit and watch it, and try it every 30 sec. or so beyond the first minute of steeping. if you pour it at the right moment though, it tastes marvellous. and most important: it is clear and lacks the usual swampy-muddy look that most genmais have, especially if you buy them for 'the real thing' in japanese groceries.

The nutty flavor of a natual puffed rice cereal, layered with the flavor of green tea - delicious! This tea is unique and refreshing if you know what to expect.

When I got this tea I mentioned to someone that it had popcorn in it, one can imagine the kind of reaction I got from that. Having tasted it, though, I can honestly say that this is a great tea. I really love the nutty odor, and the taste has a nutty infusion to it, too. Two thumbs up :)

I had been previously very well acquainted with the Genmai Cha from Tealuxe, a smaller franchised tea house that operates in the northeast. The sample I received was of superior quality, with an extra nutty flavor due to the addition of popcorn to the mix. Exceptionally fragrant. Expands many times over upon steeping. I love drinking a medium to large pot of this stuff every day.

I ordered this tea because of its uniquness. I enjoyed the nutty flavor, but was disappointed that the 'green' taste I was expecting was muted and did not complement the taste of the nuts. Would order a small tin again, but I don't think that this will be my go-to green tea.

This is a great tea for the right time. I don't drink it everyday, but the warm, toasty aroma and flavor go great with stir-fry or for sipping in front of a cozy fire.
