Pairs great with food. I was sceptical at first but this might become one of my favorites, especially with meals.

Earthy with weird things. Tastes like Japanese Mugi Cha. Tastes good, will get it again.

I was really excited for this one, and my first few cups were very good, but after a while I just tasted brown rice and very little tea. It's still quite comforting after a long day, though.

It took me awhile to get used to the idea of rice in my tea, but now genmai is one of my favorite teas. Adagio's version is very nice, with fresh, crisp flavors.

A japanese favorite, this genmai cha has the typical grassy flavor associated with good sencha highlighted by brown rice which adds cereal like flavors.

Pretty good. I've had better, where the green tea was more delicate, but it's not bad at all.

Subtle, nutty, not too grassy. All the reasons I love genmai cha. Excellent tea, fantastic price. I love to make this iced like I get in my favorite sushi bar!

I've had a lot of genmai cha teas-this one is subtle in its nuttiness but good. Obviously a high quality tea.

As genmai goes, a good offering, but I'm just not a fan. My 'favorite' genmai of the different types but for me, the smell is the best part. Smells just like osembe you'd get at a Japanese bar.

This tea has a wonderful nutty flavor that balances out the flavor of the green tea. It's excellent any time of the day, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who doesn't care for the taste of plain green tea.

I'm having a cup right now and it is a satisfying end to a wonderful day either at work or at home.

My first real green tea and a very interesting choice for it. A very unique flavor that was overall quite enjoyable.

I like having this tea with dinner, especially fish or sushi. I don't think I could drink this all the time though, the rice and popcorn taste would get old.

Great taste with a little bit of earthy flavor. Just not as fresh tasting as I have had in the past.

This tea is great on really cold days. It has a very full and distinct flavor, some may not like.

a comfy treat hot and -- I just discovered -- absolutely perfect iced after a long, overheated summer afternoon.

Makes the tea pleasantly heavy and stout. I would imagine it is a good tea when you are trying to stave off hunger.

I loved this tea. It has multiple flavor notes that danced like a gentle song on my tongue. Very relaxing and very much recommended.

Great Japanese tea that you find in most oriental resurants. This is one of my top 5 favorite teas.

Good but maybe not so much to my taste; you taste the cereal more than the tea. Would be pretty good iced, is improved by a bit of honey.

This tea definitely smells and tastes like popcorn. I usually don't judge a tea based on the first cup, however, after having three cups, I could not get used to the flavor. Just my opinion though.

Mmmm, this made me start loving genmai cha. Normally I prefer fruit-flavored greens, but this is just so nice. If you're looking to branch out, try this tea first.

I love genmai cha, and adagio's is a good one. Genmai's a great every day tea, with a pleasant balance between the tea and rice qualities.

This is one of my favorite styles of tea, but i've never had it loose-leaf until Adagio. I'm pleased to say it exceeded my expectations.

There isn't anything bad I can say about this genmai cha. It is the tea that gets me through my work day.

This tea is excellent, but every time I try it, I am disappointed. This may seem like an oxymoron, but to me it isn't. While the tea steeps, and once I have a cup in hand, the aroma from the roasted rice fools my senses into thinking it's a hearty meal. Then I take a sip, and it's just genmai cha. A wonderful tea!

I switch between genmai cha and sencha as my daily teas. It tastes great on cold mornings. The rice crackers really add to the flavor of the tea. For once being known as a peasants tea, it sure is amazing.

This was horrible. While brewing I thought that something was actually burning in my kitchen. Yuck.

Always a favourite, Adagio's Genmai cha is very high quality. A pleasant and hearty roasted experience. Yummy!

I had high expectations for this one...but a bid dissapointed...too weird for me.

I'm a big fan of genmai cha and the Adagio version is wonderful. Bought a larger tin.

Cheap, simple, and unique, this tea is one of my favorites. PS. Kids love it!

A novelty type tea... not really for me, but then again, I tend not to like saltiness in my tea.

loved the brown bits of toasted rice floating on the top! a very nice, hearty scent -- perfect for all times of the day

I am a huge fan of genmai cha, but my experience with this one is that it may not be as fresh as I would like.

A combined flavour of rice and Japanese green tea is an awesome combination. Very versatile tea, can be used to compliment sweet, savoury, and even slightly salty foods. Excellent value for such a wonderful green tea.

One of my favorite early evening teas. It is consistent from order to order and is very forgiving on your brewing technique, you would have to work to ruin it.

I really like the popcorn flavor of this tea, but I find the rice a little overpowering. I like to mix with a little Green Anji and then its perfect for me.

It's hard to believe that the addition of the rice and popcorn to Genmai Cha was originally to cut down on cost, since it ADDS so much flavor. This nutty body of this tea is superb.

While there is nothing particularly spectacular about this tea there is nothing particularly bad about it as well. If you enjoy black teas you might like this one.

This is by far my favorite tea, and I didn't think I was a green tea fan. It's nutty and almost sweet. Absolutely delicious, and one of the few teas that I'll be ordering again in larger quantities.

Not my favorite although I would recommend it still depending on what you like. I thought it tasted like popcorn.

Nice different tasting green tea. Roasted rice may be a tad too strong. Always fun to see a tiny popcorn among the leaves.
