Simply amazing. I've never gotten an aroma this strong from tea. The flavor is very rich with toasted rice, but not overpowering. Do yourself a favor and pick up the sample at least :) And to think, this was once regarded as a poor man's tea!
Classic Japanese green tea, blended with toasted, popped rice. Warm, nutty with a lovely savory and hearty quality.

I am very sad that I only ordered a sample size of this. I love it! The popcorn and rice add a wonderful toasted flavor to the tea and I just can't get enough of it.
I love genmai cha. I've been drinking it since I was 6 or 7 years old, maybe. It has a very nutty taste to it that gives it a hearty, distinct flavor. Love love love this stuff.
I was gently suprised by this tea. I bought on a whim, with people talking about popcorn and brown rice in tea. Cuts down on my caffeine intake while providing a tasty beverage.
Love the natural earthy flavor and rice, popcorn additional to this green tea. Must have.
a lot better than i thought it would be. It tastes similar to the popcorn jelly bean by Jelly Belly if you put sugar in it, which I kinda like!
Mmmm, it's like sipping on a green tea rice cake - definitely a pleasant and relaxing cup.
I was surprised by how savory this was, almost like a meal. Nice roasty, toasty flavor. I'm not much for green teas and bought this for the novelty and it was good! Would buy again!
I'm not sure what it is about this tea that did not strike a chord with me but I did not enjoy the cup I tried... perhaps it was the nutty flavor from the toasted rice. Whatever the reason I'm going to revisit this one later on and see for sure if it may have just been a bad day. Smells fien pre-steeping but once the water hit it ... just too much of something for me.
It's genmaicha. It's tough to screw up. Love the roasty toastiness.
Such a fun tea! I like the white kernels of popcorn - a pretty mixture with and fresh aroma.
An interesting take on green tea that I had never had before.
I was very surprised by the fact that I really like this tea. It's such an unusual looking tea that you have to wonder if popcorn, popped rice and green tea really go together, but they really do! This tea might not be for everybody, but it's worth trying.
I love the flavor of the rice in this one, it's very much unlike any tea I have ever had, and worth a try.
I tried this on a whim, and I'm glad I did. Definitely a savory tea, which is not normally my style. Not an everyday kind of tea for me, but it adds to the variety in my collection.
This has become one of my staples! It has a very warm, toasty/nutty flavor. I drink this almost every morning.
Love the malty scent and flavor the toasted rice imparts. It's not an every day tea, but I always have it on hand nevertheless.
This green tea really hits the spot. It is light like most greens, but it also has a nuttiness too it which gives a unique flavor. Very enjoyable!
This is the best genmai cha I've ever had. Nutty taste is perfectly balanced.
Very distinctive taste, smells like rice cooking. Definitely a 'once in a while'-tea for me, not a daily drink.
I love this tea; it tastes not unlike savory Japanese rice crackers. Actually, for a great snack, a cup of genmai cha with a few rice crackers is perfect. I started off with a sampler size and ordered a bigger tin as soon as my sample ran out.
This genmai cha produces a nutty and suprisingly smooth cup. I absolutely love to just look at it because of novelty of the popcorn. However, this wasn't my cup of tea. It was too savory for my taste. It reminds of sushi because it tastes like a lot like nori.
Mmmmmm ! This one has a lovely smokey flavor, not as strong as other genmai chas I have tried but this one will be very much enjoyed :)
This is very good, althought not for everyone. It has an odd smell, but the tea itself is very pleasant. I like the buttery/popcorn flavors in it.
I don't know how I feel about this tea yet. It's a smooth, good quality tea, but the toasted flavor is very strong. Perhaps it's an acquired taste.
Delicious, full flavored tea. The toasted rice gives this tea a unique flavor. I'm buying the big tin this time.
This is my favorite tea, great taste and very flavorful.
popcorn and nutty very unique tea good for a change of pace
WOW this tea was intresting. I did not care for it. Too nutty or something. I couldnt get the after taste out of my mouth for a long time. Did not enjoy it at all
Unique and unusual, very nice flavor, will keep in my pantry.
This was VERY savory, but very good as well. I didn't expect to like it, but the toated, green flavor was very surprising. I recommend trying it at the very least. This is one that you will probably LOVE or HATE.
I didn't care for this tea, but my boyfriend loved the unexpected, nutty flavor of the popcorn mixed with the green tea!
I'm never disappointed with this tea, and for the price you can not beat it.
My new favourite tea! I love the flavour of this - it's like nothing I've ever had before and scent is amazing. It's perfect plain or with a little bit of honey.
This is the most unusal but delightful tea!!! Tastes best very lightly sweetened.
Not my cuppa tea! The quality is great but don't care for the flavor.
I'm a real sucker for genmaicha, and Adagio's is one of my favorites. You really can't beat the grassy/nutty flavor you get from the green tea and rice combination, not to mention the soothing toasted flavor
I'm not that crazy about green tea, but I really enjoyed the nutty flavor that the rice and popped corn add.
It took me awhile to get used to popcorn and rice in my tea. My first few sips tasted like toasted popcorn/rice. After I got use to the taste of the tea , it was pretty good. This is a very unique kind of tea, you will like it or hate it.
I tried this tea because it sounded unique, but I did not care for it at all.
I've long been a fan of 'popcorn tea,' and this one is very good. Has a very pleasant, nutty rice taste. I can see that this might be a 'love it or hate it' tea, but everyone should give it a try!
This is a sweet grassy green with a nutty rice flavor. Good if you like genmai cha teas. Definitely different!
I love the nutty and grassy flavor of this tea, it is my favorite tea!
This one's definitely an acquired taste. This particular species of genmaicha was a tad too genmai-y for me, so I added some sencha, and it's perfect now. Definitely the best genmai tea I've had, though.
I love genmaicha and this is no different. Lovely!
Genmai Cha has a sweet, green flavor mixed with a pleasant 'nutty' toasted rice flavor that is relaxing and enjoyable.
A mild a rich blended flavor of green tea and roasted rice. Really good.
At first, I wasn't sure what to make of this one. After drinking it for a few days, I can reccomend this to anyone looking to try something diferent. Not 'bad' diferent, mind you, just a tasty departure from what you are used to drinking. Makes a kickass iced tea too!
My absolute favorite green tea (Apricot Green close 2nd). The nutty popcorn flavor complements the green tea so well, love the smell and flavor... very comforting.
I love the nutty flavor! It is so unique! This is great to stave off hunger.
