★★★★☆

I love this stuff. It is definitely an aquired taste though... This particular one is very nicely balanced and has great flavor. Note...you should mix up the tea every once ina while as things settle out over time. It is one of my favorites!!! You have to like nutty, toasty flavors though..subtle but unmistakable...

★★★☆☆

I thought this tea had way too much roasted rice, to really enjoy any of the leaves.

★★☆☆☆

I really did not like the flavor of this tea. It may be an aquired taste, because I do not prefer the popcorn and and rice flavor for my tea.

★★★★★

A nice green tea flavor with a gentle hint of toasted rice. This has become one of my favorites.

★★★★☆

You pick up the roasted rice flavor in this tea. It isn't terribly expensive, so you can drink this everyday.

★★★☆☆

I did not enjoy the overall taste of this tea. Tastes very much like popcorn but in liquid form.

★★★★★

This tea has become my favorite, with its great toasty edge. It's the tea I'm most likely to choose when brewing a cup of an evening.

★★★★☆

Popcorn tea! If your in the mood for some, this tea is a great substitute.

★★★★★

A whole pan of brownie points for it tasting EXACTLY like it looks, smells, and says it should. Eat with cereal or pop corn. 1 tsp/8oz.

★★★★☆

the roasted brown rice is a main part of this tea, however, it was a little overpowering. an easy fix though, just add a little extra green tea leaves of choice =] great tasting tea.

★★★★☆

I thought I would like this more than I really did. My daughter likes it a lot though and I make it for her practically every morning. We double the amount of tea for a slightly stronger flavor and use granulated honey for a little sweetness.

hardy flavor, with a nutty quality to it. If you enjoy green teas, definitely give it a try- you won't be disappointed. Make sure you clean your ingenuiTEA after brewing, as the rice has a tendency to stick to the inside.

This tea is delicious, a toasty nutty flavor that is so soothing, and great with sugar or honey, or all on its own! Obviously any strong flavor is a like it or don't kind of thing, but this tea drinker LOVES the taste and I do recomend that if you like green tea, you at least try this one out.

★★★☆☆

There is nothing wrong with this tea, but to someone not too familiar with genmai cha, this tea tastes only like you're drinking popcorn...which, I guess, you are.

★★★★★

Very good. This is the type of green tea they brew in many sushi resturants and has that very distinct japanese taste.

★★★★★

Unique taste with the toasted rice and popcorn, but a light cup of tea. This is also the tea that I use to show the unique blends out there other than what you find in the local grocery chain.

This is a great Japanese green with popped rice. It's not as grassy as most Japanese greens, and has a nice, mellow toasty taste. Great for multiple steeps. As with most Japanese green teas, be careful not to over-steep or use too much tea.

★★★☆☆

I like this tea, but it is cheaper to buy it at the grocery store.

★★★★★

The best and most flavorful green tea. I first had it with sushi and have been a fan ever since.

★☆☆☆☆

I really did not like this tea. Like another reviewer said, it tastes like wet popcorn with a hint of grass.

★★★★★

this is one of my favorite greens. i tend toward the japanese greens as i prefer that "grassy" flavor some complain about. if you are new to japanese greens, this may be the place to start as the grassiness is combined with the delightful nuttiness of the toasted rice. LOVE IT!

★☆☆☆☆

This was truly the most disgusting tea I have tried to date. I purchased this based on my sister's praise, but as soon as I received it and took a whiff, I had my doubts. Still, I tried to have an open mind and brewed myself a large cup. I did not like the taste from the very first sip, but hoped it would grow on me. I couldn't even manage to get halfway through the cup...I had to dump it down the drain! It tasted like a mixture of burnt popcorn and burnt rice. This was extremely unpleasant and I'm surprised this has so many good reviews. Since my sister loves it so much, I gave the unused tea to her. I think I'll stick with the fruitier flavors!

Great between meals, because it's easy on an empty stomach. Plus, you could eat it to survive, if it comes to that.

★★★★★

Lovely tea. Lovely aroma. I use more than a teaspoon with the greens.

I picked this one up out of curiosity, but i think 3 minutes is too long to steep for this tea, unless you want a really strong rice krispies flavor. I liked it better with 1.5-2 minute steeping. Have not tried it to see if it can be steeped multiple times yet

★☆☆☆☆

One of the only green teas I would ever say no to. It tastes like burnt popcorn and is diluted.

★★★★★

All the family owned sushi restaurants use this type of blend. Very agreeable

★★★☆☆

Not my cup of tea... ha! The nutty/corny flavor is a bit too strong for my liking.

This one grew on me indeed. I have had bad genmai cha tea before but this is the real deal. Great and fresh this cha tea is amazing.

★★★★★

The nutty taste was definately weird at first, but after a few cups, it has quickly become one of my favorites. Can't wait til it's back in stock!

★★★★☆

A toasty tea that is very soothing for the throat and mind. The popped and toasted rice definitely make this tea. However amongst other genmai chas, this one is pretty standard.

★☆☆☆☆

I like the look and aroma of this tea, but when brewed it tastes like wet popcorn.

Mmm... I know it sounds weird, but if you love popcorn, rice, and green tea, then this is a definite must!

★★★★☆

Good but flavors are a bit muddled, I've had better genmai cha.

★★★☆☆

Not bad, but I've had much better genmai cha elsewhere, and better green tea at Adagio.

★★★★★

Excellent tasting brown rice tea. One down side is that it tends to leave the ingenuiTEA teapot a bit dirty, rinse as soon as possible or wash it.

★★★★★

An interesting tea. It has a robust, almost salty flavor. Personally, it's not my fav, but my husband LOVES this tea. He drinks it quite frequently and enjoys it everytime.

★★★☆☆

Nutty taste. It's not bad. Something I would sample but probably wouldn't buy again.

★★★★☆

One of my staple teas. I wish Adagio's genmaicha had a stronger roasted flavor, but it is quite good.

★★★★☆

Nice morning tea to start the day, good nutty flavor.

★★★★★

I like the nutty taste of this. It mixes well with other teas like white peony. It words great alone as well.

★★☆☆☆

Ewwwww!!! I actually didn't mind the first couple of sips then the flavor hit me hard. I can't bring myself to make another cup. The puffed rice flavor a taste that is good to eat, but not to drink.

This is my staple tea. I drink this every morning and love it. The flavor is unlike any other. I put a little agave in it to sweeten it up on most days, but it is fine without any sweetener as well.

★★★★☆

I really like this, it reminds me of the tea in the sushi restaurant, you can't screw this up, its really good sweetened too.

★★★★★

Definitely in my top 3 favorite teas. Has a nice nutty favor thats accented by the green tea. Really good with and without sweetener.

★★★★★

This tea is so incredibly wonderful that I can't rate it highly enough. The quality is A+. It has full flavor and a natural sweetness to it without being too overpowering. It is a very satisfying cup of tea. I'm ordering more of it right away.

★★★★★

I love genmaicha tea and I ordered a sample of this from adiago and enjoyed the wonderful aroma and satisfying taste of my first cup. Perfect as an after breakfast or after lunch tea.

★★★★★

I love this tea. It's perfect with sushi and other asian food.
