This is my go to tea for anytime. Delicious and relaxing.
Very subtle richness of the rice blends with great quality green tea! It's a good tea to pair with fish meals. Be careful; if you let the dried rice too long in the infuser, it gets too soft and hard to clean in a metal teaball strainer.
That perfect balance of green tea and rice. It's also good for multiple steepings, so you get more for your money!

Just discovered this and was blown away. I've always been at best indifferent to green teas- not enough flavor or too grassy. This has a lot of flavor and is herbal rather than grassy. Highly recommended.

I've had a few genmai cha and this one is alright. I feel like the ratio of green tea and rice is a little off. A little too much puffed rice for my liking. It has a very earthy flavor which I like, just wish it had a little more green tea in the blend.
This is the freshest genmai I've ever purchased. The leaves are beautifully green, the rice nutty and flavorful. I only wish 3 oz would make more cups.
I love the flavor and smell of this tea! It's the best tasting I think. My husband doesn't like it - he says it tastes like 'cereal' (roasted brown rice) - but I adore it, so it's a matter of preference. I used to make just plain roasted brown rice tea myself, but it's much better with green tea mixed in.
As with the Vanilla Green, the Genmai Cha tea has been a very welcome companion! No longer do we have to go to the nearby ($$$) restaurant to get this tea. We found it here on Adagio and fell in love. The tea is warm, nostalgic, with the great green tea flavor we love and appreciate- sometimes smooth, sometimes a little rough. The rice flavor is a wonderful complement and we are on our next big bag of it. <3 A very loved tea- definitely try it!

This is an earthy green tea that can be an acquired taste, but I have always been a fan and this is a good version of it.
My only complaint about this tea is that I wish it were just a bit stronger. I steep it longer just to get more of the bitterness but besides that, this is a wonderful addition to any collection.

An interesting taste for tea. As someone else said, it reminds me a lot of Sugar Pops cereal - nutty and slightly sweet when you add a bit of sugar to it.

This tea...is really not my thing. It was recommended based on my love of hojicha, but it was too salty and strange and not nutty enough for my tastes. If seaweed is a thing you enjoy, I bet this will be your kind of thing, though.

So, my daughter has been on the hunt for a brown rice tea like one she had in a Japanese restaurant. Nothing has even come close until now. She love this nutty brown green tea even more!

The first time I made Genmai Cha, I steeped it according to the directions and it didn't have much taste. I ended up steeping it much longer and was rewarded with the toasted rice taste I was seeking with a nice grassy mix. This is a great tea when I've already had my caffeine boost but want a little something afterward. I haven't tried steeping it a second time on its own but combine it for a second cup with previously steeped Gunpowder and it's pretty good then too.
I did not like this tea, but that is mostly due to the fact that I prefer plain, basic green teas.
This is so good and savory. I resteeped it and it still had a great taste. I am craving this tea a lot now.

I really like the toasted flavor of the tea. However, the tea flavor is very light, so to have any kind of depth you have to brew longer than the instructions indicate. Even then, it is very light-flavored.
