★★★★★

I have green tea with breakfast and genmai cha is one of my choices.

★★★★★

This is my go to tea for anytime. Delicious and relaxing.

★★★★★

Very subtle richness of the rice blends with great quality green tea! It's a good tea to pair with fish meals. Be careful; if you let the dried rice too long in the infuser, it gets too soft and hard to clean in a metal teaball strainer.

★★★★★

That perfect balance of green tea and rice. It's also good for multiple steepings, so you get more for your money!

★★★★★

My favorite afternoon tea, when I'm craving a cup but don't want as much caffeine.

A very enjoyable afternoon tea. The rice adds a nutty flavor that complements the green tea nicely.

Love the flavor of this one. Reminds me of one I was served in a restaurant.

Just discovered this and was blown away. I've always been at best indifferent to green teas- not enough flavor or too grassy. This has a lot of flavor and is herbal rather than grassy. Highly recommended.

★★★★☆

this particular tea is decent for the genmai cha style, definitely have had better

★★★☆☆

The genmai cha flavor is not my favorite, but as far as I can tell Adagio's is a good version of it!

★★★★★

This was a gift for my spouse and she loved this so much more than our local tea purveyor's. Thank you for such great teas!

★★★☆☆

I've had a few genmai cha and this one is alright. I feel like the ratio of green tea and rice is a little off. A little too much puffed rice for my liking. It has a very earthy flavor which I like, just wish it had a little more green tea in the blend.

★★★★★

This is the freshest genmai I've ever purchased. The leaves are beautifully green, the rice nutty and flavorful. I only wish 3 oz would make more cups.

★★★★★

I love the flavor and smell of this tea! It's the best tasting I think. My husband doesn't like it - he says it tastes like 'cereal' (roasted brown rice) - but I adore it, so it's a matter of preference. I used to make just plain roasted brown rice tea myself, but it's much better with green tea mixed in.

As with the Vanilla Green, the Genmai Cha tea has been a very welcome companion! No longer do we have to go to the nearby ($$$) restaurant to get this tea. We found it here on Adagio and fell in love. The tea is warm, nostalgic, with the great green tea flavor we love and appreciate- sometimes smooth, sometimes a little rough. The rice flavor is a wonderful complement and we are on our next big bag of it. <3 A very loved tea- definitely try it!

Fave tea ever.Loved the little popcorn bits, never knew that about rice! It's delicious

★★★★☆

This is an earthy green tea that can be an acquired taste, but I have always been a fan and this is a good version of it.

★★★★☆

My only complaint about this tea is that I wish it were just a bit stronger. I steep it longer just to get more of the bitterness but besides that, this is a wonderful addition to any collection.

★★★★☆

Comforting winter tea with a nice warm earthy flavor

★★★★☆

An interesting taste for tea. As someone else said, it reminds me a lot of Sugar Pops cereal - nutty and slightly sweet when you add a bit of sugar to it.

Toasty, nutty, grassy and soothing. Truly a wonderful cup of tea.

★★★★★

This tea is so unbelievably interesting. The rice adds such an amazing flavor - very much one of my favorite teas!

★★★★★

Quickly became one of my favorites. Very soothing.

★★☆☆☆

This tea...is really not my thing. It was recommended based on my love of hojicha, but it was too salty and strange and not nutty enough for my tastes. If seaweed is a thing you enjoy, I bet this will be your kind of thing, though.

★★★★★

I can't get enough of this stuff. It makes me happy when I drink a cup.

Love the nutty toasted rice taste. Has an almost savory, soup like quality to it.

I really liked this tea! The toasty flavor reminded me of some kind of cereal - Sugar Pops? - with a couple spoons of sugar. Very good!

★★★★★

So, my daughter has been on the hunt for a brown rice tea like one she had in a Japanese restaurant. Nothing has even come close until now. She love this nutty brown green tea even more!

I cannot get enough of this savory tea. It compliments so many different foods and is one of my all time favorites!

★★★★☆

The first time I made Genmai Cha, I steeped it according to the directions and it didn't have much taste. I ended up steeping it much longer and was rewarded with the toasted rice taste I was seeking with a nice grassy mix. This is a great tea when I've already had my caffeine boost but want a little something afterward. I haven't tried steeping it a second time on its own but combine it for a second cup with previously steeped Gunpowder and it's pretty good then too.

I did not like this tea, but that is mostly due to the fact that I prefer plain, basic green teas.

★★★★★

This is so good and savory. I resteeped it and it still had a great taste. I am craving this tea a lot now.

That perfect toasted genmai cha flavor! Not for those who aren't a fan of this unique Japanese tea though.

★★★★★

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this tasted. Different but addicting. I love the fragrance and the flavor.

★★★★★

This is my favorite tea. The toasty flavor makes such a nice, honey flavor. I'll buy this again and again.

★★★★☆

The toasted rice notes in it are there but not overpowering.

★★★★★

Genmai Cha has always been one of my favorite teas, and Adagio's did not disappoint! It is bright and toasty, with a mild grassy flavor. Perfect for any time of the day.

I drank what I thought was this tea in the store and when I ordered online I can barely smell it, it's so awful.

★★★★★

Loved the toasted flavor of it. I can see how this could be a favorite. ETA: Really loving this the second time around. Very stomach-comforting, satisfying brew. This can easily do two brews.

★★★★☆

I really like the toasted flavor of the tea. However, the tea flavor is very light, so to have any kind of depth you have to brew longer than the instructions indicate. Even then, it is very light-flavored.

★★★★★

I LOVE this tea as a change from the standard morning green tea. Less caffeine, but a great nutty flavor.

★★★★★

I first had genmai cha in a local Japanese restaurant. I was hooked on that distinctive flavor. I've tried several bagged teas, but yours is the one that really captures that taste for me. It is a light tea, that lets the toasted rice flavor really shine.

Different tea but i really like it. Rice flavor is nice

★★★★★

This tea is addicting...So good on a cold day when you need a hot cup of soul warming tea.

★★★★★

This is probably one of my favorite teas. It has a nice mild aroma but a very flavorful nutty taste that is perfect for chilly mornings.

★★★★★

a wonderful genmai cha - the rice and tea flavors both come through nicely.

★★★★★

One of my the favorite green teas of all time. I enjoy the rice flavor mixed with the tea.

★★★★☆

Surprising flavor, I like the roasted flavor and aroma from the rice, will buy this one again.

★★★★★

The flavor of this tea is what you want, earthy and toasty with a nice hint of green tea. Perfect~

Boyfriend loves it and so do it. Not too bitter and very light.
