I got rhis tea after opening a tea pot at a ramen place at a convention and seeing that this was the tea. It is absolutely amazing and divine tasting. The aroma is amazing. It has a roasted scent and the flavkr is beyond words. I can see it becoming a household favorite easily

Easily the best Genmai Cha I've ever had. Embodies everything about this type of tea in all the right places.

Beautiful scents of fresh popped corn without the inflammation of eating it!

Love waking up to the nutty, full-bodied flavor of this tea. The taste is superior to that of other green teas I've tried.

It's honestly my favorite tea from Adagio. The rice adds so much.

Toasty and roasty and delicious. There's a great balance between the green tea and the toasted and popped rice.

This tea may not be for everyone as it is a unique flavor. I really like it. The toasty tones from the rice make it different from any other tea. It adds a warm flavor and smooths out the green tea. Give it a try and make up your own mind. I love it on a dreary afternoon.

Really did not enjoy this tea. Thought at first it might be an interesting thing to try but the corn/roasted flavor I got out of it was really not my speed.

Fantastic toasty flavor. Very enjoyable to drink early afternoon.

The popcorn flavor is fun and interesting but not my favorite blend.

One mug in and I'm in love. This has skyrocketed to my number one favorite tea. From the moment you open the bag you're greeted to a nutty aroma that is as smooth and bold in taste as the smell promises. I foresee this becoming a daily tea for a long time.

I couldn't wait to try out this genmaicha - it's my favourite type of tea, and I'm picky about my flavours! I couldn't have been more pleased. The bags are perfectly shaped and filled just enough so that the leaves can swell without crowding each other, allowing full flow-through of water. The bags also drain thoroughly, eliminating the need to squish every last drop out. I only wish the shipping to Canada wasn't so pricey! With a gift card you can bet I'll be back to shop.

Genmai cha was a curious experiment, but in the end not something I'll be buying again.

One of my all time favorite teas, I drink this every day!
★★★★★
Delicious and toasty scent. The rice bits are actually kind of fun to nibble on once they're thoroughly soaked, though they're probably not intended for that.
Update: just wanted to add that it tends to be a little cloudy with particulates.

Nutty and calm, it's both my first cup of the morning and my last cup of the work day. Do take care to avoid over-brewing -- can get bitter if left too long.
★★★★★
I love how fresh this tasted. It has that roasted sweet taste. I like to resteep it once.

Pleasantly surprised by this tea. I usually dislike nutty or roasted teas but this was delicious. I think its best with an equally savory dish. Made me hungry. One teaspoon worked well for two infusions.

This is excellent genmaicha. Grounding, nutty, unpretentious. When I don't know what tea to make, this is what I brew.

I'm new to tea, having been a coffee drinker my whole life. I never really understood green tea until recently, when I decided to follow the directions of water temp and steeping time. This tea is very accessible to me. In general I really don't get what people are talking about with 'apricot notes' and things like that, but the nutty, toasty flavor of this tea I get! And I love it! It has a food-like quality that is very satisfying. I'm gonna order a big ole bag of it next time!

Very unique with the puffed rice flavor very prominent. It's not really my taste to drink on a regular basis but an interesting treat.
★★★★★
This is my go to tea.I drink it every morning on the way to work. 14oz's of water at hottest setting out of keurig 2.5tbsp.genmai cha in 32oz brewer. Give it 4.5 mins. to steep, then set it on my cup and let it flow in, then enjoy.

I've tried Genmai Cha from other tea shops, and this one taste exceptional and amazing! Very real. I do not regret it! Great taste.
★★★☆☆
I got this as a free sample. It was definitely ricier than I expected, which is my fault for not researching it more. My first cup I steeped conservatively, and it mostly tasted like popcorn water with little tea flavor I could detect. I definitely felt the caffeine later though. Increased steeping time brought out the bitterness of the leaf. It grew on me a little over another cup, but I'm just not a huge fan of the rice flavor. I would drink it if I got it for free, but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy.

One of the most unique and interesting Adagio teas. Savory and toasty - so good!

This is the most amazing green tea I have ever had. I drink it twice a day now.
★★★★☆
This tea has a good roasty, toasty quality as promised; the flavor of the green tea is subtle and I would have liked a little more of the grassy, clean flavor you normally get with a green tea. A good choice for when you're craving carbs and want something a little more substantial in your cup.

This is one of my favorites teas. The nutty, roasty flavor of the toasted rice cuts some of the vegetal characteristics of traditional green tea. Great for sipping on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
★★★★★
This tea is one I've been wanting to try for a long time. I can't say I'm disappointed in it, but definitely surprised. I was not expecting the rice flavor to be as strong as it is. Both the scent of the tea and the taste remind me of burnt popcorn, which is a very strange thing to experience. I'll finish the sample, but I don't believe I'll be reordering this one.
Edit: After messing with the steeping times a bit, I've really found that this can be quite the enjoyable tea! I suspect the first time I tried it that I oversteeped it, and so the rice taste really overpowered the tea. So long as you stick to a short steep time, this tea really shines however, and I'm definitely planning on picking some more up!

I initially got this tea in a green tea sampler. I wasn't impressed when I read the description of the tea. Then I tasted it---wow was my initial thinking wrong. It is a smooth green tea with a slight smell and taste of toasted rice. (sort of like a rice cake) It is my go to tea in the morning.

This tea definitely lives up to giving a very toasty and warm sensation to the taste buds. The brown rice flavor is very evident and a nice addition to a traditional green tea flavor.
★★☆☆☆
not quite what I was expecting. I was expecting a nice green tea with a subtle rice flavor. This tasted more like rice water. Won't be buying again.
