Toasty rice flavor perfect for winding down an evening after work.

★★★★★

Great tea! Tastes like tea you would get in a good Japanese restaurant

★★★★★

Very good, love the look and taste of the toasted rice

★★★★★

One of my go-to teas! It's so refreshing to drink in the morning - it's not too sweet and kind of smoky. I usually just follow the timing instructions for steeping and two minutes is perfecttt. The tea seems kind of weak when you're pouring it in terms of color, but the flavor is spot on.

I originally got this tea in the green tea sampler, and I wish I hadn't waited so long to try it! It's a fantastic, nutty tea that I love to share with my friends. Ordering more, and I'm sure this one is going to remain a staple around here.

This is my first genmaicha tea. I really like it as a morning tea. I like to add 1/2 teaspoon of the sencha overture to balance out the saltiness. But I’ll be back for more!

★★★★★

This is a strange and delicious tea full of umami flavor. Toasted rice and almost a hint of seaweed notes, like savory cereal in a thin broth. While I don't typically sweeten my tea, this one was excellent with a bit of honey!

Genmai Cha is my favorite tea. The toasty brown rice enriches the taste of the brew and mellows the grassiness of the green tea. I get 3 infusions out of it

★★★★☆

This one is an aquired taste and I ve only tried two brands, but this was definitely the better one.

★★★★★

My favorite green tea. I love the smooth, nutty, slightly smokey flavor.

This one was surprisingly nostalgic in a strange way. It reminds me of my Grandma s Spanish toasted rice. It was slightly salty, savory and had a bit of a crisp at the end. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and can t wait to drink more!

★★★★☆

Not sure how i feel about the popcorn bits; most genmai cha just uses the toasted rice for the popcorn flavor. It's enjoyable though, very nice roasty flavor

★★★★★

This is lovely! The roasted rice blends really well with the so-easily-bitter note in the mid-grade greens and it all comes out to a really nice, light toasted flavor. If you like barley tea in the summer, this one will also be a winner.

★★★★☆

Slightly bitter and very soothing. Tastes like grassy popcorn, which may be a little weird, but it's pretty good!

★★★★★

Warm, nutty, light and refreshing all at the same time. Very unique and will definitely be ordering again

★★★★★

One of my favorite green teas, genmai cha is something special. It gives you a taste of the brothy Japanese green flavor and feel, but mellows it with the roasted rice. A good tea for those who like slightly nuttier flavors but still want that classic green tea vibe.

★★★★★

Honestly this is just so perfect. This is definitely going to be a recurring purchase!

★★★★★

Really wonderful tea. Exactly what I was looking for.

This is absolutely delicious tea. It's my first order with Adagio and I'm so pleased with this. It's that classic Genmai cha toasty flavor and it comes through really well. I definitely recommend!

★★★★★

One of my favorite afternoon teas. The rice makes it a cosy and toasty treat without calories.

★★★★★

Genmai Cha has become one of my favorite teas. Not only does it smell incredible but it tastes like no other tea I've had. A bit nutty (like me!), but also a little serious thanks to the fact it is indeed a green tea. It has become one of my staples.

Delicious savory flavor. Soft and warm. One of my favorites to drink with a meal.

★★★★☆

A very nice genmai cha! I use it for ochazuke (google if you're not familiar- great way to use leftover rice the next morning) and it's wonderful! Mild, grassy, slightly roasted flavor.3

Odd tea. Its definitely an acquired taste and has a savory feel to it.

★★★★☆

This is probably my favorite genmaicha. I find a lot of times the rice dominated the flavor but here the green tea flavor still comes through.

★★★★★

Tastes vaguely like popcorn. I liked the toasty flavor.

★★★★★

Crazy to think this was the tea the poor used to drink. It is incredible! The rice adds great flavor, actually one of my go to teas.

★★★★★

Wonderful green tea where the brown rice balances out the flavors so very well. I love this one.

★★★★★

I live this tea and could drink it daily. I keep some at work to lift my spirits in the afternoon. The toasty rice aroma reminds me of popcorn.

Green tea with an awesome earthy flavor. my favorite

★★★☆☆

My first pot of this I steeped for three minutes and it was pretty bitter, a problem I haven't had with other Genmaichas. My second pot, brewed for two minutes was better, but something about the flavor profile is not to my taste. Maybe too many toasted rice bits? Too much popcorn? This was an okay tea, but I'm not going to be buying again.

My second favorite green tea below Jasmine pearls.

★★★★☆

Pretty solid Genmai Cha with a healthy rice ratio and plenty of those popcorn bits. I think the sencha could be a bit smoother, but overall nice.

★★★★★

A good, roasty, everyday tea that is just right.

★★★★☆

Initially skeptical, as I wasn t sure how well the rice and the popcorn were going be like. TO my surprise, it wasn t half bad, and it added a very nice nutty note that permeated through the drink. I might not come back for a while, but it was still pretty great.

The flavor of this is amazing; the rice toasted flavor is very pleasant

This is as close to the tea that I get at one of my favorite Chinese restaurants that I have ever tasted, and I have tried about a dozen Genmai Chas to find one like at Fujiyama! This will be a regular for me!

The toasty rice is great in a green tea. Is balanced and nice to warm up with.

★★☆☆☆

For some reason the small popcorn pieces really threw me off and added a weird texture / taste. Personally not a fan

★★★★★

tastes so good! I drink it for afternoon tea and it's delicious

★★★★★

I liked this one quite a bit. Right now it's my go to tea.

One of my favorite teas. Nutty and has a subtle aroma of roasted rice.

Popped rice, roasted flavor. Nutty, earthy taste.

★★★☆☆

Tried a sample of this. Thought it was just ok. Haven't ordered it again, since I got the sample.

★★★★★

I love the earthy taste of the rice combined with the green tea. Frequent go-to

★★★★★

this is one of my favorite teas. Its sweet and nutty and calming all in one cup.

★★★★★

this tea is AMAZING. i couldn't quite place where i had tasted it from before, but when another reviewer said they had it at their local sushi restaurant, i realized that was where i knew genmai cha from as well. this tea is delicate, roasty, very tasty, and not at all bitter or astringent. i left mine brewing for about ten minutes and it wasn't bitter at all.

★★★★★

I can't get over how much I love this tea. I ordered just a sample size of it and will definitely be ordering a larger size. Does it come in 5 gallon buckets? It's so wonderfully nutty and toasted and the perfect amount of green. Brewing as recommended was good, a nice light but not too light flavor, but I brewed a second pot for longer (by which I mean I forgot for a moment) and it was still just as delicious. Not bitter at a.
