I have tried other Genmai Cha's from other tea distributors and this is mine and my husbands favorite. It's nutty and refreshing, goes well with a light amount of matcha mixed in.

Definitely not my cup of tea.. the popcorn a little overwhelming with the rice but it’s not terrible to have if you’re hungry but don’t want a big meal

This tea is a wonderful, unique experience. With the puffed rice, and savory flavor, this is popcorn in tea form. The gentle green tea adds a touch of grassy vegetation to all the toasted rice cake flavor. This is almost like a savory broth instead your typical tea, but it's a blend that's really grown on me. It's great for those nights when you want something warming from the inside out. Or if you want a tea that tastes like popcorn.

This is a wonderful version of a classic tea - and a favorite of everyone in my family!

This will become one of my go-to morning cups. The toasty, savory quality is so satisfying. Genmai cha is often compared to popcorn. As strange as it sounds, it’s an apt comparison!

One of my favorite teas. Great taste, the flavor is very balanced.

Admittedly, Genmai Cha is one of those teas I don't drink regularly, but have occasional, very specific cravings for. Adagio's version is a bit different than what I'm used to - the toasted rice is very prevalent, and the green tea flavor is fairly mild as a result.

Has lingering toasted popcorn flavor from the rice. It's different, I'll give it that.

This has become my go to green tea. It is so savory yet refreshing at the same time and it tastes just as good as it cools.

Roasted rice balanced with green tea, wonderful combination.

The popped rice is so reminiscent of popcorn that it trips me out but I love it. I love it with some fresh sushi and as a general after dinner tea.

Fantastic Tea, a Japanese restaurant down the road from me serves this tea, and its my absolute favorite, when i ordered and sampled it first off, i was pleasantly surprised it had the same integrity of flavor that i find in the shop down the road, i will continue to order 16 oz of this.

This is a very clean, herbal tea. The popcorn adds a wheat-like flavor that is a little sweet. It's a delightful, calming afternoon tea.

Tastes like what you'd expect: extra roasted rice krispies brewed as a tea. Someone tried telling me it was the best tea they'd ever had. I can't say that. I'm not sure if it's bad, exactly, or if my brain is just going 'not tea' and rejecting it on that basis, but it's definitely different. Will probably give the rest of this sample to said friend.

Eh. Its ok. If you took a cup of plain ol' green tea and threw in some pieces of popcorn, watched them shrivel, and took a sip, it would have the same effect. Not my cup of tea.

I don't seem to be having any luck with Adagio green teas. Poor quality green and the rice and popcorn gave the tea a stale flavor. Ordered this after having a cup at a ramen house and enjoyed it very much. This doesn't compare at all.

This is my favorite tea! The taste is smooth and light but has a nice roasted nutty flavor. I found this tea to be forgiving for overdoing the steeping time.

. It reminds me of Saltire Rock, a candy I became addicted to in Scotland. I has a creamy mouth feel and an aftertaste of marshmallows. I like to use 1/2 a packet of truvia to sweeten into a delicious treat. I do not let this steep longer than 3 1/2 minutes and there is no hint of bitterness

My wife and I both love this tea in the afternoon, delicious roasted taste, offsetting the green tea bitter. A regular pause for us.

This is a tea that I could drink everyday and not get sick of it! It is not particularly flavorful—at least not in the usual sense; however it is very hearty and I’ve found that a cup of Genmai Cha can stave off hunger for longer than most teas. It’s a fantastic tea that I very highly recommend.

I love the flavor of this. Almost makes me think of while grain bread or popcorn but in a wondeful way with the tea! And I feel less like munching when I drink it, which helps me stay on track with my CICO and IF.

A very lovely smell when brewing similar to rice crispy treats. Definitely different than what I'm use to, much more savory tea with the rice flavor.

Genmaicha is probably my favourite tea. I love the aroma of the toasted rice (and sometimes just pick the rice out and eat it -- try it. It's delicious!) and the flavour it imparts. As another reviewer notes, it's very forgiving -- I never check temp and never time (heathen!), but this tea has never tasted too bitter as many greens will do. I guess people call this flavour 'nutty', but it doesn't remind me of nuts. It's 'toasty' to me. Maybe someday I'll come back and update that description, but I think it's apt. If you have never tried genmaicha, I encourage you to do so -- this one is quite good.

My go-to afternoon tea. Perfect balance of flavor, and just enough caffeine to be a pick-me-up, but not give me insomnia.

I'm giving this a four because it is, in fact, a quality genmai cha. The problem is that I'm not really into it! It tastes like liquefied honey smacks without the honey—no surprise, given what they're made of. I'm glad I tried this tea, but it's too bitter for my tastes.

Very delicious, prepared two cups, one of this, and one of some I bought when I was in Osaka and they taste so similar it made me smile. I’m glad to know I can stay stocked up in between my trips to Japan so I never have to run out of this delicious tea!

This is the best genmai cha I have had the pleasure to drink. Does fine with near boiling water, even better at recommended 180F. It's tasty even when accidentally brewed far too long. Addicting brew. Will be sure to always have some stashed in the pantry.

Love the nutty scent and flavor that the puffed rice gives. More flavor and less astringency than other types of green tea that I've tried.

Strong toasted rice flavor and delightfully savory, very balanced with the sencha green tea base, doesn't compete but instead compliments when paired with a main course meal
