Fujian Jasmine Pearl Customer Reviews

Hand-rolled tea from Fujian, China, infused with the delicate scent of night-blooming jasmine. Each pearl is made up of just one bud and leaf set. Refined, clear and quietly hypnotic fragrance, pleasantly soft texture and delicately dry finish.

Very exquisite and gentle! Smells heavenly but naturally. Glad I purchased it. It's expensive but I think it's worth it.

The best jasmine green tea I’ve ever had, smells and tastes amazing.

This one grew on me. I brewed it overnight in the fridge. I bought it alongside the Jasmine Phoenix Pearls and they taste slightly different, but I can't explain how. I didn't like it that much at first but after having it 3+ times it was pretty good. Would get again.

Had a difficult time getting the right ratio of water/steep time to flavor. The first one was not strong enough in jasmine flavor, the next round was too strong.

This tea is absolutely delightful! The smell reminds me of a sweet rice dessert that my mom makes sometimes, it's a sweet, floral and lovely jasmine scent. In a 30oz teapot I used 2 and 1/2 tsp of the pearls and brewed it with water at 180F for 4 and 1/2 minutes. The resulting tea was a gently perfumed, full bodied and smooth tea! I think that the price truly is worth it for this nostalgic tea! :)
update: I used the same leaves for a second brew at the same temp with two more minutes added onto my brew time and it's still a deliciously full bodied brew! It also reminds me of the tea served at chinese dim sum restaurants! This is such a good tea :D

This is not worth the money. The tea is ok, but honestly I was expecting more flavor. In the past this tea has been delicious. It also used to arrive in a good, airtight container. Now it comes in a flimsier container that opens too easily. I think that is a mistake.

Fragrant jasmine tea. Very good though imo not worth the price

Best jasmine green tea I have ever had! Very high quality green tea pearls with a refined jasmine flavor and scent. I find this tea more 'sweet' and delicate than the jasmine phoenix pearls (which have a stronger but less refined jasmine flavor). Excellent for multiple cups of tea.

Amazing tea! My hubby was so happy with this, and he's a jasmine man: super picky! So, any old jasmine won't do for him. This was, in his words '10 outta 10 perfect. '

Delicious and full of jasmine! You can definitely taste the intense flavor difference between this and the Jasmine Phoenix Pearls.

Nice change of pace. I usually just get Dragonwell and White Monkey.

The smell is heavenly. The flavor even better. Floral in scent and flavor so you need to like jasmine. You’ve heard of “desert wines”, well this is my “desert tea”. Not an every day tea for me...but on special occasions or when I want to pamper myself, this is the bomb.

My actual rating would be 4.5/5 (9/10) if it were possible. This is a delightful Jasmine green and I do think it’s higher quality than some of the other jasmine green teas I’ve tried through Adagio. But maybe not different enough to validate the price tag (vs Jasmine Phoenix Pearls in particular) since I was happy with the others too. I’ll have to do a real side by side test to know for sure. I think it does have a subtle difference in taste. No regrets in trying it, or having it around to indulge on occasion though! Sometimes you just need to treat yourself a little. And it’s only a couple dollars difference. Knowing it’s hand rolled is pretty awesome, and watching the pearls uncurl is too!

Compared with the Jasmine Phoenix Pearl (a personal favorite), this is a much more subdued set of flavors. The smell isn't quite as overpowering, and the floral flavors don't come through quite as strong. On the other hand, the green tea taste was also imperceptible to my tongue, meaning the array of flavors are closer to a white tea.

Fragrant and delicate, although the fragrance doesn't transfer to the tea as much as I had hoped after smelling the container. The tea doesn't seem particularly premium enough to justify the price tag. Personally, it tastes very similar to the Jasmin Yin Hao which is significantly cheaper. The only advantage of this product is the leaves being in convenient whole form, no strainer needed. The packaging (metal tin) is also more eco friendly.

I got a whole bunch of the masters collections samples just to see the difference, and for the most part, meh. This one, though, this one is 100% worth the price difference. I brewed this gongfu style the other night, which means lots of leaves, small pot, and very short steep time. I used about 2-3 tsp (5 grams) in my one cup teapot, and holy shit. The first taste was incredible. Buttery, umami, floral, sweet. I said 'I could drink this all night.' I was so wrong.

Steeps 1-4 were incredible, calming, delightful. Steep 5 was pushing my limits but it was still so good, I couldn't stop. By steep 5 I was just pouring my steeps right into travel cups, because I couldn't just waste it! The leaves were still good! I make my tea gongfu style a lot, but I've never had a tea that lasts this long and produces this much tea. I got like 12 steeps out of it and all were incredible. Great iced the next day too :)

This is straight up my all-time favorite tea. It does not get better than this. I personally like to leave the pearls in the cup while I drink; it takes long enough for the tea to get bitter that I can enjoy both the flavor and watching the pearls fully unfold. Although on the occasions I don't leave the leaves in, I can get three steeps out of them, so there's a lot to be said for that as well.

This was a much lighter cup as far as flavor and intensity of jasmine aroma than I was expecting. Still overall an enjoyable cup of tea though. Not bitter at all and it has a sweet jasmine flavor.

This tea is absolutely amazing. In a side-by-side tasting vs. Jasmine Phoenix Pearls, it really shines. But I keep stocked with both and use the Fujian Jasmine Pearl sparingly (eg. for special occasions and when I have guests). It is beautifully fragrant and smooth. Whenever I make a cup for my husband, he says something like “this tastes expensive” or “this tastes like I don’t deserve it”, and I have to tell him - “but darling, yes, you do”!

This so much smoother and less astringent than Jasmine Phoenix Pearls. The resteeps are even better than Jasmine Silver Needle which is my favorite jasmine.

This is one of my favorite teas. It has a well-balanced light yet rich floral taste. If you like jasmine teas, you need to try this one. If you don't like jasmine teas, you also need to try this. You may end up becoming a fan

I love jasmine tea and these pearls are awesome. Great flavor! My only warning is if you get the sampler size then the tops are often very tight.

The smell while opening the container was heavenly, and I had great expectations. I upgraded to this after having the jasmine phoenix pearls, and this didn't disappoint! The overall quality of the tea is better and it is definitely worth the purchase.

This tea smells overpoweringly like lilac bushes in the tin. Steeping it made a brew that I can only describe as actualizing the atmosphere of the ending of 'The Secret Garden.' Amazing, but my only complaint is that one of the little balls had a hair in it.

I've just started getting into loose leaf teas and I've tried several. Once this one hit my lips, I was blown away. Wow, It's magical and very elegant. It has so much depth to it but it's light at the same time. The smell is amazing, like flowers. I'm really amazed. I'm excited to immerse myself in the world of teas and this tea is a good start.

Not everyone will like it.

This is tea amazing! I love how the smell of the jasmine is there from start to finish. It tastes exactly how it smells and has a slight sweetness to it. A second steep did not disappoint and tasted just like the first. A nice tea to relax to after a stressful day.
