Fujian Jasmine Pearl Customer Reviews

Hand-rolled tea from Fujian, China, infused with the delicate scent of night-blooming jasmine. Each pearl is made up of just one bud and leaf set. Refined, clear and quietly hypnotic fragrance, pleasantly soft texture and delicately dry finish.

Very good tea with a light Jasmine fragrance that lingers.

This is one of the masters teas and is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this green tea that tastes just like jasmine due to the painstaking work of blossoming jasmine flowers onto this tea. I HIGHLY recommend this tea that can withstand multiple steepings.

so smooth and subtle, absolutely beautiful flavor - great with a few drops of honey

Very good green tea. Light taste, but I think the Jasmine Phoenix Pearls are slightly better.

I changed my mind about this tea and now love it . It's often difficult to get the brewing just right at first, and I think I over brewed the the first batch making it a little bitter. A teaspoon of the pearls is sufficient for a mug size cup and it re-brews beautifully 2 more times! This is an exquisite jasmine. Of course, you have to get over what those green and white pearls look like in the spoon (best not to look at your canary while spooning this out!). But all joking aside, this is an exquisite tea - warm, complex and perfectly balanced. BTW I highly recommend having any jasmine tea with dark chocolate on the side. I discovered that they amazingly complimentary to each other.

Absolutely delicious. I think jasmine Phoenix is #1 but this is a very close #2.

This is a delightful tea. Full bodied with delicate jasmine overtones. The fresh jasmine scent is lovely and the second cup, has a bitter hint it's not overwhelming and totally enjoyable.

Accidentally brewed this a little too low, but it's still a lovely lovely jasmine tea.

Good tea, but again a little too floral for my taste.

I almost never give a 5 star rating, so this is big! This is my new favorite tea ever! I can t get enough of this stuff! It smells like perfume and tastes like zen, just like my previous favorite. But this one has a fruitiness to it that s just so superior that I can hardly describe it properly! It s a tea well deserving of the Masters label it came with. I ll be buying more for as long as it s sold!

This is my favorite daily drinking tea. The jasmine flavor isn't overpowering and the green tea is complex and earthy. I usually brew two cups from one spoon of pearls. The first has more floral notes and the second cup highlights the earthy notes.

Excellent Jasmine tea. Well-formed pearls that unfurl quickly in hot water, light delicate green tea scented with jasmine. Not at all overpowering.

I'm so glad they offer this in the sample size. While it was good, I honestly prefer the Jasmine Phoenix Pearls over this one. Compared to that, this is kinda just meh.

A beautiful golden cup of tea, naturally sweet which threw me off. But it has hints of honey and a touch of nuttiness along with the signature jasmine perfume. I feel like Uncle Iroh would lose his shit for this tea.

Best cup of Jasmine tea yet. Slightly sweet, very floral and very complex. Definitely a 'pro' tea.

One of the best jasmines I’ve ever had. It took me a while to find the sweet spot with this one, but 90-seconds right off boiling seems to be great. Fragrant, medium bodied, refreshing, even intoxicating — I love this tea. I’ll try gong fu style once my bigger order comes in.

Classic Jasmine scent and taste. No astringency. Jasmine is a great green tea flavor if you haven't tried it! (And I'm typically a tea purist).

The problem with having the Fujian Jasmine tea is that no other Jasmine tea will ever taste 'great' again. You will become spoiled. The light hint of flowers and the delicacy of this tea will be earned and missed. Even the premium Jasmine Phoeix Pearls will all of the sudden be like having white rice when you've tasted risotto...not bad, just no longer amazing :). If you can justify the cost, this is some of the best Jasmine tea you will taste. It is fantastic, and you can easily re-use the pearls 2-3x, which hopefully will offset some of the cost. If anything, you should at least try it since it's definitely an experience.

In terms of brewing it, if you do your research, you will find that brewing Jasmine tea ranges from the 'traditional' method (boiling 212F water for 20-30 seconds), to the 'modern' method of 185-195 for 2-3 minutes. With a 'good' Jasmine tea (ie, Phoenix Pearls) - you don't want to waste this one :) -- try a few side by side and decide what you like. Generally, the first brew can be done at 185-190 for 2-2.5 minutes. Re-using the leaves for a 2nd and 3rd time will require same/slightly higher (190-195) temp for an additional 30 or so seconds (~3 minutes, rather than the 2-2.5).

Has a light, delicate flavor... Not as strong as I would like in a Jasmine tea, but still tastes quite lovely! I run right to this one whenever I have a headache.

I'm hard pressed to pick a favorite between the Fujian and the Phoenix pearls. They are both delicious and overall, delicate. I will say that the Fujian can get a bit bitter if over-brewed.

I bought this and one other to finally try Jasmine tea. I see why this stuff is so highly reviewed. I was able to steep it five times before the leaves fully unfurled and the flavor started to fall off. I did three minutes at first then 5 minutes by the time i got to the fifth steeping. Treat yourself to a sample of it for a special occasion.

Smells more than a bit of funk, but tastes pretty good. Like a regular green tea, but with a little more depth to the flavor.

Exquisite. Absolutely wonderful. My second Masters buy and more than worth the price. If you're the sort of person who objects to 'drinking perfume', you may find it a little too strong on the jasmine, but I personally consider it to be perfect. I don't find it 'perfume-like', just richly floral and enjoyable. It's got a light, airy mouthfeel and the flavor blend manages to be delicate without being remotely weak. I originally bought this as a gift for my mother. Then I had to get some for myself because it's just that good.

For some reason, this tea had very little jasmine smell or flavour (it did have a mild jasmine scent in the tin, however). I had read many of the reviews stating that this tea was really strong in jasmine scent, so on opening the tin, I buried my nose in the pearls waiting for the lovely smell, but it was not strong at all, not much in the cup either. The tea itself was a good tea, I brewed it according to instructors and it had absolutely no bitterness and was full bodied and smooth, but very little jasmine at all. I brewed another cup at 178, and it was a little better, but still lacking in jasmine.

If you re looking for a jasmine, this is the only way to buy! A simple green tea with such a bright, sweet floral that never disappoints. Try adding a little earl grey to your jasmine for a truly special blend.

I found this tea to be really good. The jasmine is strong but not overpowering and the tea is delicate and slightly sweet. The only negative is the price and I am going to try the cheaper standard jasmine pearls to see if there is a noticeable difference in quality.
