Dragonwell Customer Reviews

One of China's most famous teas, from Hangzhou in Zhejiang province. Distinctive flattened leaf shape gives the tea an inviting, toasty aroma. Sweet rounded flavor, like freshly roasted white corn. Nutty, buttery texture, pleasantly dry finish.

It is earthy enough, but not too grassy. A perfect healthy green tea. I drink it every day!

I LOVE DRAGONWELL. This tea hits the spot the same as the other dragonwells I have had in the past.

★★★★★

I really enjoyed this tea. It has a slight buttery, greeny sort of a taste. It also makes you feel good as far as your well being. I brewed the leaves a second time and got the same great taste as the first.

One of our favorite green teas! It isn't too grassy for me, but it's still earthy and mellow, perfect for my husband's tastes. We both love this one.

A fine tea, very vegetal. Be careful not to oversteep--it tends to get astringent.

A classic and a favorite of mine. I will never not keep this stocked in my home!

★★★★★

Definitely a great tea. It has a roasty and nutty flavor and aroma. One of my favorites.

★★★★★

This is a great green tea which I like as my afternoon tea. Lovely, mild taste

★★★★★

Amazing delicate taste with just a hint of sweetness

★★★★★

Very light. Beautiful tea. You don't need to add much to this tea, it's so light in color and just a wonderful delicate flavor.

★★★★★

Light tan. Herbaceous, spice, earth, peat moss nose; mid-body; elegant, refined; wonderful long finish. Nutty. Spicy.

★★★★★

This is a unique tea and I love the shape, which made me curious to how it was going to taste. I’m sure the free tea lovers will enjoy but it just wasn’t for me.

★★★★☆

Good Taste, standard Dragon well. Cannot go wrong here.

★★★★☆

A good green but in my opinion you can find better teas for the price point.

A wonderful green tea, almost a precursor of the flavor profile you would find in Golden Flower. Deep and a great round mouthfeel, apricot notes more in the smell, slightly less in the cup. No strong grassiness.

★★★★★

Nice, light, smooth. It's a great go to green tea.

★★★★★

Very pleasant, nutty green tea. Very refreshing and not bitter.

★★★★★

An excellent green tea. Not too strong or overwhelmingly vegetal, it has a light sweetness and a pleasantly toasty hint of chestnut that I I found really delicious.

One of the best teas I have ever tried. So much very fine flavor in it

★★★★☆

The clean, buttery, delicately toasty taste of your Dragonwell is wonderful. It’s my go-to mid-morning tea, afternoon working tea, or evening motivation tea.

Smooth flavor. Probably some of the best green tea I have ever had.

★★★★★

Very good, mild tea, its a non bitter green tea, try it

★★★★★

This green tea has a very nice flavor. I did find that it is important to have it steep a bit longer on the first brew. Subsequent brews are stronger.

Love, love, love this! Quickly becoming one of my favorite green teas.

★★★☆☆

This tea has a very mild flavor. It s sort of nutty with a low astringency. It is good, but if you re like me and prefer your green teas to have a little more of a bold and grassy flavor then it may not be your favorite. It is worth mentioning that it re-steeps well, IMO (I got 3 out of a batch of leaves).

Classic green tea with clear and reach taste. Recommend.

★★★★★

I really loved this, smooth, toasty and nutty. Different enough to be worth buying again, really enjoyable to drink.

★★★★☆

The quintessential green tea. Well balanced and gentle. Nothing about it really stands out as unique in this respect, but it is a great green tea!

We love this tea in our household. We do not use any sweeteners in any of our tea's and we adore the 'green' flavor of this tea. The flavor is both robust and delicate with this tea. I am not sure what it would be like with honey. If you use any I would suggest a small amount.

Received a stale product (brownish liquor, weak taste). Adagio sent me a second sample, and then refunded me when that wasn't any better. Must be a bad batch (both samples had exp 5/25/2019). Hope to give this tea another go once they figure out what happened!

Tasty and it does not require much to make it strong

Gave this as a gift to someone who isn’t too fond of green tea and they loved it

Good dragonwell. I personally prefer Sencha and Gyukuro for that umami taste, but I found that I enjoyed the buttery, almost nutty flavor of dragonwell too. For those who mostly drink Japanese green tea but have yet to try dragonwell, I'd say go into the tasting with an open mind.

One of the best green teas I have ever had! Taste just like green tea should! It's not too strong or too weak. It taste good with lemon juice added or almond milk. I like this in replace of my morning coffee and sometimes iced with sweetener.

★★★★☆

This brewed up quite light for me, but I was still amazed at how flavorful it was at first sip - rich and toasty! But unfortunately I didn't particularly like the aftertaste or dryness to it and there's no discernible natural sweetness unlike a lot of green teas I enjoy. I can appreciate it but it's not my favorite.

★★★★★

Very familiar green tea. This is the staple flavor I am accustomed to from my own fresh ground green tea to sushi restaurant. I prefer is a little strong and this blend allows for that without becoming overbearing.

Definitely a favorite I like that it contains a moderate level of caffeine.

This is my go to green tea! Even my husband, who is more of a coffee lover, makes requests for this tea. It's flavorful, without being overpowering, so it is perfect for early mornings or in the middle of the night during work.

★★★☆☆

The flavor is too grassy for my liking. It also has a bit of a pan flavoring to it(I know I know, this is a cooked tea). The aroma of the leaves aren't as pleasing as I would expect. It's definitely not a bad tea, it's just not a tea that fits me. If you like grassy, nutty, full-bodied(not like pu erh or oolongs), and almost a smokey roasted flavor, then Dragonwell is the tea for you.
