Dragonwell Customer Reviews

One of China's most famous teas, from Hangzhou in Zhejiang province. Distinctive flattened leaf shape gives the tea an inviting, toasty aroma. Sweet rounded flavor, like freshly roasted white corn. Nutty, buttery texture, pleasantly dry finish.

★★★★★

This is one of my favorites. It’s a very delicate, grassy flavor.

★★★☆☆

Pleasant taste, beautiful in the cup. The steeped leaves, however, have an off-putting aroma.

★★★☆☆

Eh. Pale in color, but pleasant in flavor. I prefer my jasmine chun hao for my green tea adventures. This is good, but it’s not my favorite.

★★★★★

Honestly a great green tea... from someone who prefers black.

★★★★☆

Id give this 5 stars, but I'm not much of a green tea drinker. It does have a nice soft flavor of succulent grass.

★★★★☆

A very lovely green tea, nice and smooth. I believe it may be my new go to.

★★★★★

This is the first time I tried this tea and I love it! This is sure to be one of my regular morning teas!

★★★★★

Really fantastic. The green tea has hints of nuttiness that really elevate it. I generally do not enjoy green tea, but this one I would keep around.

★★★★★

Once I figured out how to brew this, I came to really enjoy it. For me, it was using a lot of tea leaves, not too much water (150ml or so) and not too hot (80 C), and a quick (less than a minute) infusion. Then it has a really nice, distinct aroma and light, refreshing flavor.

Typical green tea with an earthy flavor. Good aroma

★★★★★

Nice and light, I am normally a black tea drinker but this is a nice tea

★★★★☆

Great daily green tea. Would definitely purchase again.

★★★★★

The perfect cup of green tea. Smooth and bright with a clean finish.

Seems like a good tea, however my palate didn’t love it. It was slightly bitter and had a funky flavor and scent. Never had one of these wok finished teas before, and I’m not sure I will again. Im sure it was just my own taste that didn’t love it. I did it in short quick brews, with little water. Gongfu style...

Wonderfully delicate aroma, without a hint of bitterness. This is now my new favorite green tea.

★★★★★

Excellent mild daily drinker. I will purchase this again simply bc of how level it is. Not overpowering in any way.

★★★★☆

This is a pretty good Long Jian/Dragonwell tea, although the flavor is not quite as potent as some.

★★★★☆

Good very traditional green tea flavor. Can be steeped a couple of times.

★★★★★

My favorite tea! High in quality and well worth the purchase.

★★★☆☆

I am not a fan of green tea, but thought to try this out because of the health benefits. It wasn't for me, but my husband, who enjoys green tea, did like this.

★★★★★

This is the first pricier tea I have tried where I can tell it is a more expensive tea. If it were easily in my price range I would be buying this one. Is it three times as good as my normal green tea to reflect the price difference? No. But, it is a very nice tea.

Found this flavor a bit dull on what I imagined this to taste like.

★★★☆☆

Kind of generic. Didn't like it. Didn't hate it.. Kind of forgettable.

★★★★★

expensive but mixed with hunan gold it is the best. cuts the cost as well

★★★☆☆

This is a good tea, but not my favorite. I used to order it to add some variety, but have found others I prefer.

Great taste! This tea helps me with my writing. I highly recommend

★★★★★

This tea is perfect when you don't want any dominate flavor to shine through.

★★★★★

This tea is expensive, but worth it. It is a really great green tea, really good for you and doesn't taste too strong. We have been drinking it daily for years.

★★★★☆

Among the most popular and ubiquitous of the green teas, Dragonwell delivers the same smooth taste cup after cup. It brews light but flavors are prominent. A very good go-to green if that's your tea of choice.

★★★★★

Probably the best green tea I have ever had. It is a more expensive option than some of the others, however, the taste and smoothness speaks for itself. Make sure not to steep for too long or at a high temperature for best taste.

Smooth, buttery tea. Contains just the right amount of caffeine as well.

My very favorite tea of all time! Smooth, mellow, not too earthy, not too sweet.

★★★☆☆

Not a lot of taste for us. A little dull and forgettable.

★★★★☆

Pretty good green tea. Tasted reasonable. Confirmed that I like black teas and oolong better. Accidentally oversteeped the second steep and it got bitter.

This is a fine Dragonwell, I mean FINE. Tasty & delicate. I read somewhere Chinese drink Dragonwell in summer and Pu erh in winter. Both have become my favorite teas. They both have pronounced yet subtle effect on my mood for rest of day.

I absolutely LOVE green tea and this is another light green tea that is very relaxing to drink. It will be another one on my list to purchase again.

★★★★★

Simply put, I love this tea. I drink it daily and multiple times per day.

★★★★☆

Good tea. Definitely not my favorite. Drink it when I want a change of pace

★★★★★

This is now my go to green tea. Very delicate smooth flavor, earthy without being overpowering. I steep 1.5-2 minutes depending on how much space the leaves have to spread out

2 parts gunpowder, one part dragonwell = best green tea on earth

★★★★☆

Very good, but tricky to brew. Tried the suggested 2 minutes, but it just wasn't strong enough. Gave it another minute at 180 and it seemed to do the trick. Very good if you can get it right.
