Dragonwell Customer Reviews

One of China's most famous teas, from Hangzhou in Zhejiang province. Distinctive flattened leaf shape gives the tea an inviting, toasty aroma. Sweet rounded flavor, like freshly roasted white corn. Nutty, buttery texture, pleasantly dry finish.

★★★★★

Awesome green tea. Flavourful, just the right amount of biterness.

★★★★★

My absolute favorite green tea!!! I have it almost every morning!

★★★★★

I needed to order tea for a group of Chinese visitors we would be having at our office. In my research, I was directed to Adagio Teas. I wanted an authentic, traditional green tea, and not being a tea drinker myself, I based my choice off of reviews. I made a great choice, everyone who has tried it has raved! I had a cup myself, and I now know why I've never been much of a tea drinker. I haven't had real tea! Dragonwell Green Tea is unbelievable delicious, all other green teas I've had have tasted bitter and old. This tea was light, grassy (in a good way), it actually tasted healthy! I won't go back to regular old tea bags again, this green tea is my new fave!

★★★★★

Another favorite of mine, and I think of most people's. It is IMO, an unabashedly green tea -- not mistaking it for anything else, and yet it does not have some of those green tea notes that some find overpowering. Not what I would call 'delicate,' but definitely subtle.

★★★★★

tastes so good! I drink it for afternoon tea and it's delicious

This tea will grow on you. The combination of savory with a slightly sweet finish can cover
Two flavor profiles on those days you are undecided. A good one to keep in rotation.

Awesome flavor, smooth!
I did 3 infusions keeping the flavor.

I took a sip of this and sighed in contentment. This tea has a nice, solid earthy flavor. So, basically, it's the best kind of green tea.

A favorite. Sweet and flavorful with a savory undertone.

★★★☆☆

To me this tea tastes like black tea with sugar and coffee creamer added. Not really a flavor I'm into. Not horrible, but not for me. I'll be passing on this one.

★★★☆☆

I wanted to like this tea more, but unfortunately I found it to be bland. The flavors are okay and it has a nice sweetness, but they were way too mild.

Wow! This is your straight up green tea. Tastes delicious and classic

★★★★★

My all time favorite for green tea. Such a smooth flavor. And it can steep longer and two times!

★★★★☆

Pleasantly surprised. I am not a fan of green teas in general but I can see why this is so universally popular.

★★★★★

This is, by far, my go to tea. It's not at all vegetal like many green teas, which I find unappealing. This has a pleasant slightly nutty flavor, and goes with most nearly anything.

★★★★☆

Easy to brew, does not turn bitter easily but does not have a ton of flavor

★★★★☆

Very nice tea. Soft flavor and aroma with chestnut hints.

★★★★☆

I love the smooth, buttery flavor of this tea; however, the overall flavor is slightly too subtle for my taste, and I have to compensate by using more leaves per cup. Still, as one who isn't keen on green tea due to its commonly grassy taste, this tea is a glowing exception.

★★★★★

A great cup of green tea. It's light and has a bit of a roasted taste.

★★★★☆

I usually prefer black teas, but gave this one a try. The flavor is mild with just a small amount of sugar added.

I have been drinking tea since I was five years old. I have been drinking Dragonwell exclusively for two years. I love it!

★★★★☆

Classic Green dragonwell. All around good flavor, anyday kind of tea.

★★★★★

Wonderful, smooth green tea. Earthy, nutty flavor. A staple for me.

Great standard green tea, you can’t go wrong with this.

★★★★★

This is my favorite green tea. Has a bit of a nutty flavor, not bitter at all.

★★★★★

a light bodied fantastic green tea for entry level green tea drinkers! My favorite!

★★★★★

This tea has a very nice rich and strong green tea flavor!

★★★☆☆

Did not really care for this tea, it was a bit to earthy for our liking

★★★★☆

This is good in a classic dragonwell fashion. If you like dragonwell it's nice to get in a pyramid bag.

Not bad, but not a favorite for me. I think I prefer Japanese teas, but I may need to try this one again when I have a bit more experience with green teas.

This is my 'staple' green tea for real green lovers. Dragonwell has a woodsy, but light flavor to it. It's almost like pecan in a sense. Try it and it may become your new staple too!

★★★★★

Understated and sweet, not acidic at all, would go great with mint or honey. Nearly a white tea, but will need to try more leaves to adjust intensity. Definitely recommend.

The flavor is a little light for my tastes. It has a slightly toasty flavor and, like the Adagio description says, a dry finish. I tried this tea in an effort to look for something similar to a tea I got somewhere else a few years ago. The package said it was a blend of Dragonwell and Sencha, neither of which I'd ever had on its own, so I couldn't be sure which of the teas was giving it the flavor I enjoyed. At the moment, it looks like it probably wasn't the Dragonwell. I'll be giving Adagio's two Sencha varieties a shot next.

★★★★★

I love Damragonwell tea! This was one of the very first teas that I ordered and live the lightness and flavor of the tea. A must have to your collection!

★★★★★

This is the perfect cup of green tea for any time of day.

★★★★☆

Nice flavor, medium body, green and slightly toasty flavor.

A good, smooth green tea that is great for sipping in the afternoons. I highly recommend.

★★★★★

My husband's go to for green tea. This is what brought us to Adagio in the first place.

★★★★★

What a classic-tasting green tea! Earthy, buttery, smooth, and delicious! (I brew my green tea a bit longer and this was still great! Not bitter at all, even though I don't mind bitter green tea.)

Love the taste, brews quickly, not too strong. For green tea lovers.

★★★★☆

Dragonwell is one of my favorite teas. This isn t the best example I ve had but it is still pretty good. Toasty, nutty, and slightly sweet. I like 2tsp in 8oz of 175F water for 2min.

★★★★★

probably my favorite green tea. I rebrew 3 times total.

★★★★★

I've been drinking Dragonwell for years, and Adagio has the best. In fact, I can't function well without my two cups in the morning. Even when I travel a bag of Dragonwell is the first thing I pack! Update: I've also managed to 'convert' several of my friends to this green tea!

★★★★★

Very interesting. It had an astringency that I tend to like, and while I tend to prefer more vegetal flavors than this one had, it had a certain kind of bite to it that was really appealing.

★★★★☆

Very good, smooth and easy to drink, very refreshing on a summer morning. Will purchase again.

★★★☆☆

Very easy to over-steep this, and it becomes very bitter. Boil water to rolling boil, then let sit for 30 seconds. Pour over. Steep for 3 minutes.

One of my favorite green teas. Slightly sweet and extremely flavorful. Good for resteeping

★★★★★

Black tea in the morning and green tea in the afternoon. Dragonwell and Gunpowder are the classic greens and I enjoy them both regularly.

★★★★☆

Very good. The perfect green tea. 1 tsp per cup, 3 minutes at 180F.

The description on Adagio is fairly accurate. It s tasty but not my favorite. Overall it s a lighter green tea than I would usually go for. To me, it tastes a little... flat, oxidized maybe? I bet I m brewing it too long.
