I was somewhat disappointed with this. The flavor and color were too light for my tastes, even after steeping for 4-5 minutes. I prefer my greens to have more of a grassy bite.
One of China's most famous teas, from Hangzhou in Zhejiang province. Distinctive flattened leaf shape gives the tea an inviting, toasty aroma. Sweet rounded flavor, like freshly roasted white corn. Nutty, buttery texture, pleasantly dry finish.

I was somewhat disappointed with this. The flavor and color were too light for my tastes, even after steeping for 4-5 minutes. I prefer my greens to have more of a grassy bite.
A new favorite! Tried this for the first time this morning and was very happy with it.
A very nice mellow green tea. Not as vegetal as many and a good evening tea.
My all time favorite green tea! Dragonwell is a simple tea to brew, and it isn't very picky like some of the others. It has a good grassy/chestnut hint, and the aroma is very good. I love the jade colored illumination from the cup. Dragonwell is both very flavorful, and pleasing to look at while drinking. I highly recommend to green tea drinkers! Tip: Don't steep for very long.
Very light and refreshing. Lovely mixed with Jasmine tea, particularly #12.
I'm not a huge fan of this green tea. It's not bad... I have no problem drinking it, it's just that there are so many other greens teas I enjoy more. Just doesn't stand out for me.
One of the best green teas I have tried so far, is a bit expensive, worth the money for a special treat.
Overall it was ok. I found the tea to be slightly bitter. However, it could be that I just seeped it too long.
Love this green tea! Came with the green tea sampler and instantly fell in love. Nice, subtle taste.
I prefer pi lo chun but dragonwell is a good substitute once in a while
This is a bold, vegetal green. As the other reviews on here said, this is not a forgiving tea. Stick to the recommended amount, temperature, and time.
I liked this one too. A good, overall tea experience.
Very Nice dragonwell tea. It has that wonderful nutty taste. 2nd steep is always very bitter, never drinkable.
This tea is really flavorful. Sweet taste.
A bit pricy, but worth it !
Dragonwell has always been my favorite green tea. I've gotten it from a few tea shops around where I live, and I found the Adagio dragonwell to be very high quality and also fairly priced. I would definitely recommend it and will buy it again.
i love dragonwell and this is a decent version of it. usually better in late spring.
LOVE this tea. The amount of tea in the teabags is absolutely perfect, and I love the convenience of them. Thanks Adagio!
I drink this tea everyday, 2 or 3 times a day. It's actually one of staple drinks. It's robust and full of flavor. It blends well with either honey, or sugar. I would suggest this to anyone as a "daily drinking tea". It's just fantastic
This is a really good, basic green tea. I go to this when I just want green tea, nothing fancy.
Grassy and very green, this tea will really make your taste buds wake up with its flavors. This tea really helped me get into drinking green tea again.
when I first opened the tin, the smell made me think that this tea would be bad, but I was surprised to find that it had a very sweet, smooth taste. Definitely an awesome tea.
This is by far my favorite green tea. Smoky, grassy and full of flavor, it's the perfect cup of morning tea. As a long time coffee drinker, this tea really satisfies that morning craving without leaving me jittery or "dry mouthed". Excellet!
Better than any you will find at a coffee house. Not too strong or grassy.
Following a friend's suggestion I grabbed a sample tin of this tea. Considering I haven't had much green tea, this one isn't too bad at all.
A really solid green tea. Very light flavor that makes for a nice cup.
This tea has a complex taste beginning with a slight caramel flavor and ending with a strong, grassy green tea flavor which gets stronger the longer you steep it. I'd recommend less steeping time as it will be too bitter otherwise.
Will buy again!
My favorite green tea. Sutble and light with nutty undertones. This is the tea I drink everyday. Adagio's is perhaps the freshest dragonwell I have tasted.
A bit light for my tastes, even for a green tea. However, while the flavour is subtle, it is also pleasant. I'd feel more inclined to buy it again if it had a stronger profile. Also, the price is rather steep for such a light tea.
Excellent as always, this is one of my favorite teas. It is falvorful but not too vegetal, the perfect green tea.
No too strong, but really lovely. It's a good alternative to Gyokuro if you are burning out on Gyokuro. It's a little lower key, but just as good!!
Leaves a little bitter taste a pretty good tea. Not my first or second favorite tea, but if those are not available, I'll turn to this by default.
Dragonwell is a pretty decent green tea, its not quite as strong as I like my green tea but it is good.
A good easy to drink tea with nice flavor. You can't go wrong with this tea. It is a staple green tea to have b/c when you aren't sure what mood of green tea you are in-you can always go with this one.
Not my favorite. it is just ok and kind of a weaker taste.
A very fresh and floral/fruity green tea with a sweet finish after the initial grassy/leafy flavor. Very pleasant and not bitter when steeped in slightly cooler water. My first batch was a little weak, so you may want to add a touch more leaves than you normally would. A quality tea!
I had made this iced, which might have been my first mistake. It would probably get at two or three out of five if it was hot. It was really bitter, and I was careful not to steep it for longer than 3 minutes, so if you want to try this, I suggest you steep it for 2.
A good and simple tea. Nothing special, nothing bad. Can't go wrong.
I'm not a lover of green teas, but I could have done better picking up after my mower. NOT palatable to me at all.
Great tasting green. Would buy again. Has a zing to it and great for a morning wake up for those who dont drink black. I recommend it definitely, has a great taste and you can immediately tell you are drinking a fine green tea.
This is probably the best green tea I had so far. It's like a premium quality white wine with natural hints of grapefruit. I tried "organic" version of it from Mighty Tea and Adagio's Dragonwell is so much better. From now on I only stick to Adagio. Be careful with brewing time. No more than 3 minutes for sure.
A beautiful tea when received (flat leaves), and the flavor comes out after having been steeped for longer than the recommended time. It doesn't get very bitter at all. As with many of the oolongs and green teas I've tried from adagio, however, they seem to be a little lighter in flavor, which may be because of water temp or steeping time.
This is a very bold but smooth Chinese green tea. Be careful not to steep longer than 3 minutes.
Very nice, light green tea. Simple, so I think it would mix well with other flavors as well.
My favorite Adagio Green tea. I appreciate the flavor and taste of Dragonwell more so than any other Green. Overall I can drink this tea all the time it's one of a kind.
Nice delicate flavor, no bitterness. I only steeped for 1 minute instead of the 3 minutes recommended by Adagio. The tea leaves were good for a total of 3 infusions and the third infusion still had the same level of flavor as the first infusion. Next time I will try steeping for 3 minutes as recommended by Adagio to see if there is any bitterness. I'm used to the 1 minute rule from Teavana on steeping green teas so I'm a little nervous about longer steeping times.
Very nice everday tea for me. I like coming back to it like an old friend after drinking other teas. maybe not as special than others, but solid and dependable.
This is one of my favorite greens. It's a full-bodied, earthy/grassy tea with a wonderful aroma. I took a chance when I originally ordered the sampler from Adagio, having never had it before, and I am glad I did. It's a bit finicky, so be sure not to overbrew it and turn it too bitter.
One of my favorite greens. I love the flattened leaves. It has a nice vegetable like flavor that is very full. It tastes like a much more full-bodied green pekoe, and is worth the extra money in my opinion. Careful not to over steep. It can get bitter quickly.
This particular batch seemed to lack some of the bold flavor I've had in past batches. Still has a very distinctive taste, nonetheless. It does not possess a grassy taste and is difficult to describe, but I would not consider this to be a mild flavor. Very pleasant nevertheless.
well im drinkin this one right now and it hardly changed color when i was steeping it but i can def taste it and its not bad but its not great i would drink it again but i bet theres better ones out there
