Dragonwell Customer Reviews

One of China's most famous teas, from Hangzhou in Zhejiang province. Distinctive flattened leaf shape gives the tea an inviting, toasty aroma. Sweet rounded flavor, like freshly roasted white corn. Nutty, buttery texture, pleasantly dry finish.

This is one of my favorite green teas. Very clean and light tasting without a strong vegetal aftertaste. Good any season and any time of day. I can drink it by the pot all day long.

★★★☆☆

It's a decent tea, but I still perefer a black. This is way to subtle, and too high in price.

★★★★★

My second favorite type of tea, second only to jasmine. This is a great tasting cup that will make you feel calm no matter what stresses you in life.

★★★★★

An amazingly 'simple' tea...only in the sense that it relies on nothing perfumed or artificial. By far the cleanest tasting green tea I have ever had.

★★★★★

Good for three infusions. Nutty flavor, and an all-around great green for every occasion. Not quite as good as what I drank in China, but close.

This is one of my favorite green teas and it is consistently requested by tea-drinking friends. The flavors are bold without being too 'grassy.'

A very good tea. I like it iced. It has a smooth rounded flavor. It's also nice hot with a small amount of honey.

★★★★☆

Slightly grassy with a faintly sweet end note. I think the sweetness is what draws me to this tea. I slightly under-steeped it, because I prefer my greens light. When I let it steep longer, it got a little bitter and the smoky note came out more clearly. This may suit some people's palate better.

This is a great Dragonwell! I've tried many Dragonwells from other sources- but this is my favorite. It's medium strength, not too bold, not musty like some Dragonwells can be, not at all grassy either. It's smooth and relaxing and you'll be at the bottom of your cup before you know it. It also stands up well to 2 steeps for 2 mins each at 180 degrees. This tea has its own permanent canister in my tea collection.

VERY high quality green tea. it is worth the xtra money

★★★★★

This is a really good green tea, it does need to be brewed just right. 2 minutes tops for me, 1 1/4 teaspoon per cup.

I was really impressed with this tea. One of the best Chinese green teas I've had.

This is a fantastic earthy green. It's one of the more expensive ones, but I keep going back to it anyway.

★★★★★

I'm drinking a cup of this tea as I write this review. This is a fantastic tea! It has a natural sweet flavor, with some grass like attributes.

A nice light green tea flavor that has a slightly roasted flavor to it.

Wonderful green tea. Steamed and folded, brews yellow-gold and very refreshing.

★★★★★

This is a my favorite green tea thus far. It is a good mix of subtle and green taste. It is not bitter as long as you do not over steep.

a little too green but a good nutty flavor in the end.

Pretty good, a little smokey, one of Adagio's more neutral greens.

This is my all time favorite tea. I brew 2 c in my IngenuiTEA to get started in the morning. If I don't have ice tea already made, I'll brew a second infusion and have over ice for lunch.

★★★★☆

This is the classic flavor that most people associate with green teas.

★★★★★

Delicious tea. Light and a little buttery at the end. Very refreshing.

This is a pretty good tea. The aroma is quite nice and it's not weak or underwhelming on your tongue.

★★★★★

Nice vegetable flavor. Avoid the grassy flavor by short steeping. Ordered this for my wife, but it has become my favorite green tea.

I don't like too many green teas, as they are either too flowery or fruity [blends], or just like drinking grass. But this one is nutty and clean tasting. Only my 2nd favorite of a green. [next to Gunpowder]

A great green tea to have. Even when brewed slightly longer or shorter, it tastes great.

★★★☆☆

Nothing special about this tea, would not order again

★★★★☆

a nice, all around green tea with a noticeable spinach-vegetable flavor. Nice and clean. Fresh aroma. I think this is a good choice for those who like green teas without added flavors. An everyday choice

This is my favorite green tea that I have tried so far. Kind of a buttery flavor that I just crave.

★★★☆☆

Too subtle for my liking, yet good once you acclimate. It is roughly the hue of a Budweiser. Once you factor in price, it is unlikely that I will not be ordering again considering wide variety of cheaper delicious counterparts.

I love dragonwell tea, the delicate grassy flavor and aroma. This is a solid dragonwell, as good as almost any I've found.

This is a very subtle tea with grassy flavors and great aroma. I tend to make stonger cups of green tea to bring out more of a kick.

One of my favorite green teas. Nice toasted flavor and not grassy. Does not get bitter if over-steeped.

this is an okay tea. if you have ever had dragonwell in hangzhou, this one just does not compare. its not bad, but its not nearly as flavorful and delicious as the price might suggest, or as i was expecting from my previous experience with this tea. the taste just is not there in this one.

What you expect for dragonwell. Very smooth and good for several infusions

★★★☆☆

With its suggested proportions this tea is very mild. Gunpowder is considerably stronger.

★★★★☆

A pretty good, basic green tea. It's also a good base for mixing, say, a sweet rooibos with it.

★★★☆☆

It's a green. If you like green loose leaf teas, it's a fine one. I am beginning to think I don't like green tea so much loose leaf though.

★★★★★

Very good green tea. It has a subtle flavor that I enjoy drinking.

★★★★☆

This is an excellent green tea. The taste is subtle and smooth, i could drink it all day.

Very pleasant green with a nice and mellow taste. Personally I don't like greens who get to strong, in that regard I found Dragonwell to be perfectly balanced.

This tastes like Chinese green tea. There's nothing particularly amazing about it. It's a good, solid tea.

This would be great for people who like Chinese greens, but want something a bit more subtle than Gunpowder.

A bit harder than i thougth but it was still pretty good tasting.
