Dragonwell is such a phenomenal tea. I've been searching for a good dragonwell tea...this is it!
One of China's most famous teas, from Hangzhou in Zhejiang province. Distinctive flattened leaf shape gives the tea an inviting, toasty aroma. Sweet rounded flavor, like freshly roasted white corn. Nutty, buttery texture, pleasantly dry finish.

Dragonwell is such a phenomenal tea. I've been searching for a good dragonwell tea...this is it!
You have to be careful not to add too much nor let it steep for too long, but it is a great tea
Slightly sweet, nutty and very clean. Sometimes it's too weak
This is the first green tea I tried and is still my go-to. I highly recommend to those just starting out.
TI ordered this tea several times and the quality is the same, love this tea. Great quality.
Very clean-tasting, slightly buttery - enjoyed it very much.
Very light and approachable. Toasty and a hint of floral notes. The liquor is so light, I almost asked 'did it work?' (Yes, it did). Nice, every-day green tea.
I'm not a fan of gunpowder green and almost didn't order this once I saw people comparing dragonwell with gunpowder, but I'm glad I did. It's a lighter, sweeter version of gunpowder that is very nice and easy to drink.
Medium flavor taste and no astringency when brewed according to the instructions. Tastes good with or without sweetener.
I've always loved this tea. It's fantastic hot or iced. Sometimes I put just a little sugar in it and it's the perfect summer refresher! AMAZING
I still love it and stand behind every word! Now I can't seem to go a day without a few cups(only use one cups worth of leaves resteeped multiple times). Hope my shipment comes before my last order runs out.

Lots of people wrote it was very 'grassy' but it wasn't very 'grassy' to me. Also just a half a teaspoon of sugar seems to cut the little 'grassy' taste down. I LOVE the tea!! Ordering more:)!
A nice, basic green tea. I steeped it longer to get more flavor.
This does not taste like Longjing (dragonwell) at all! It tastes like black tea. I have traveled around China and have tasted many different types of Longjing. this just tastes like cheap black tea. I am never buying chinese/japanese teas from adagio anymore. I think if you dont know much about authentic asian tea and just enjoy 'peach flavored white tea' and that kind of American inventions, then stick with adagio. But if you are into asian teas and have some prior experience with them, then find another source. I am now directly ordering my japanese teas from japan, the shipping is not cheap but its worth it.
lovely green tea! Not my favorite, but definitely a delicious blend of tea!
always a staple in my cabinet...refreshing always with a crisp finish
This is an extraordinary green tea! Dragonwell is a sweet green tea, but with some depth to it. At first sip I thought that depth was fruity, but I think that was this tea's sweetness deceiving me. Rather, I think this tea has a subtle nuttiness to it.
Im new to green teas but so far this one is my favorite
Its sweet and refreshing. I also love that i can get several brews from each serving
I have never tasted such a pure and perfect green tea! I was very surprised and pleased at what a difference the quality in these teas truly makes. I have tried many different green tea- some of them directly from my stay in Japan. and still, this is probably the best-tasting that I have ever had. Will be buying again!
This tea is very light and clean in flavor. I put orange blossom honey in it that really seems to complement the flavor of the tea. No sweetener is necessary, I just tend to use honey in my tea.
better than many other dragonwell teas i've tried, though not the best. resembles a sencha but stronger
Thoroughly enjoyed this tea. Will probably get again.
Our home's new favorite green! It doesn't have quite the smokey/tobacco flavor as a gunpowder, but it's definitely full-flavor. A perfect balance.
One of my favorite green teas from Adagio. Great flavor profile! It can be steeped for extraordinarily long periods of time while becoming stronger but not bitter. Usually I'll do my first steep at 175 F for 3 minutes, and then a second large volume steep at 180 F for 30 minutes.
This tea is easy to mess up with temps and time, but when done right, it is light and buttery. Very nice.
I like stronger teas, and was unimpressed with this one. I initially followed the steeping directions on the package and felt like I was drinking hot water. Even after pouring it back to steep a couple more minutes I found it just didn't have any flavor. Sad, because this is such a pretty tea.
I wasn't crazy about this tea. It wasn't something I'm used to.
This tea is delicious. It has a nutty flavor, smells like corn, and is slightly astringent. I let it steep an extra 30 seconds beyond the recommended 2 minutes.
Smooth.Mellow.Relaxing. An instant favorite. The smell after brewing is a sweet fresh corn scent. The flavor is sweet and mild with a vegetable taste. Delicious.
I really wanted to like this, but I just found its flavor a bit too subtle for me. Perhaps I'll get used to it, but I don't feel as if this is a tea I would purchase a full order of
Very satisfying, really nice flavor, love this in the p.m. Another favorite for me
Love the deep flavor of this tea. Great as an afternoon pick me up. I will reorder!
this has a great flavor I will get it again, thanks for the opportunity to share
This is my favorite green so far. Nice sweet earthy taste. I reorder every time I run out!
While I am not new to the world of tea, I have very little experience with green teas. With that being said, I think this tea served as a wonderful introduction to the variety.
Though much lighter than many of the teas I regularly drink, dragonwell offers just as much aroma and flavor. Overall, I enjoyed the fresh yet toasty nature of this tea and could easily drink it daily.
Blind taste test favorite among greens with us. But we don't really like green teas as much as black or oolong.
... update - I've recently been able to get fresh dragonwell and now adagio's version of this is ruined for me. Even 'aged' this is a good tea, but it pales in comparison to the fresh
A very pleasant, cool tea, earthy but bright. Too bad it's so expensive, but I can understand why.
Having not tried every green tea ever, I can't say for sure that this is my favorite, but it's certainly in the ranking. Mellow and earthy with a faint nutty aroma, it's the perfect cup for when I want to sit back and enjoy the moment.
This is another mild tasting tea.. It's very mild to my taste buds..
I'm not much of a fan of green tea, however decided to give it a try and the taste is Great!
Exceptional quality. Best Dragon Well I've drank in a long time. Highly recommended.
like this tea for it's earthiness and pleasant flavor. It might be a good one to start newbies down the better quality road...
doesn't bring as much color as some others, so on the med to mild side
The dry leaves have a strong cereal aroma, with hints of what Dragonwell offers in taste--some grassy tones and bits of smoky/nutty aroma. When steeped as per Adagio directions it produces a very pale greenish yellow liquor with a mild taste and aroma. If you like your tea this way it's good, but I prefer to over-steep my greens. I steeped five minutes at 180F and it really brought out a lot of the qualities I like in Lung Ching--stronger grain and grass tones with some astringency (dry mouthfeel) on the finish of each sip. It also brings out more green and gold into the liquor. All around it's a very good go-to, middle of the road Dragonwell. Worth buying.
Very deep, hearty taste. Very soothing and comforting
Flavor is subtle and slightly sweet. My favorite so far.
Very light flavor, it was easy to overbrew this tea and ruin it in my experience. Still haven't finished the bag and ordered some other green teas. I will end up using this one with other green teas to add to the flavor.
I'm new to loose leaf tea, but it just seems like a basic cup of tea to me. Not great, but better than tea bags.
Good, simple green tea. Has a great nuttiness that I love.
I'm generally not a huge fan of green tea, but this is very nice. Its quite mellow and drinks easy.
The first brew had a good amount of the taste I expect from a Longjing: nutty, full-flavored. However, the second brew is much less flavorful than expected.
Nice tea. Not my favorite, but still a great tea in the morning.
