This was a little on the grassy side for me. Faint hints of mint and chocolate

I'm a fan. The mint is dominant and pairs well with the chocolate. I would prefer a black tea over green, but it still works well in this blend.

I thought this tea was good. There’s no one overwhelming flavor.

Finding I don’t like chocolate flavor in tea combined with the mint - I couldn’t finish

It smells wonderful, just like an Andes Mint. Unfortunately, the taste is much too subtle.

hey there tea drinkers welcome back to another episode of 'Lynn is biased': i hate mint lol

that being said, it did taste exactly like mint chocolate, and didnt take a lot of sugar to fully get there

I enjoyed the minty cocoa vibe this one has going on. I really didn't feel that it was overly grassy either. It was all together a good balance but for me I like mint but I don't love it so I would have loved a little more chocolate in it. Still yummy!

Cocoa and mint are both present, but I don't think the green tea base was the right one for this flavor combo.

Smells and tastes like a grasshopper pie in a mug. No trace of grassiness from the green tea, just crisp, delicious mint and chocolate. Steeped 2.5 min @ 175º.

I think this would have been better with black tea instead of green. I'm all for chocolate, but the mint tasted manufactured. The mint was too overwhelming with the more delicate green tea. The ratio seemed off - too much mint, not enough chocolate. Try again, Adagio.

Tea had a light minty scent with a hint of chocolate, but could still pick up the green tea. When brewed, the flavors were strongest of green tea and then a little mint and chocolate. I didn't really like this one.

I didn't know how I'd feel about this one, but I really enjoyed it! In the packet, it smelled just like one of those Andes chocolate mints.

After steeping, the chocolate flavor fell behind a bit. I would've preferred a little more of it, but what was left was a subtle pepperminty green tea, which was really yummy!

Steeped for 2.5 min. Water was just starting to rumble (whatever temp that would be)

I like green tea. I love York peppermint patties. This tea packet smelled intriguing, chocolate was able to come through the mint. After steeping, the chocolate faded and I could smell mint mingled with green tea leaves. One sip was more than I could take and I had to dump it out. It overpowered my taste buds with an unpleasant bitter, grassy, astringent mint that completely turned me off from even attempting another sip. If it comes in another CommuniTEA box I'll try it again and brew for the slightest amount of time to temper the strength and see how it goes.

I wanted to like today's tea. But mint is always so hit and miss for me anyway. I’m also not big on chocolate tea. It’s neither too minty nor too chocolaty but it is definitely not for me.

Very nicely balanced combination of mint and chocolate. I did not taste any grassyness. This was good both hot and cool.

I drank it about an hour prior to this review, honestly don't remember it. Not a big fan of mint in my tea, this one was obviously forgettable, it did its job though I suppose.

An interesting blend of classic mint and chocolate with green tea. It worked well for me, an enjoyable cup. I would prefer something a bit more bold and smooth with said flavors though, like a black tea. Or next time I may add sugar and ...cream? Does cream belong in a green tea? Experiments to come.

8 oz, 2 mins @ 180* F, Hot with sweetener

No can do. The chocolate flavor with the vegetal taste from the green is not a good combo for me. Not enough mint to hide the green. I didn't even bother trying it cold after having hot brewed it. Perhaps if I encounter it again I will cold brew it.

Very nice chocolate mint flavor. I'm usually not a chocolate tea fan as it's too weak of a chocolate flavor. I can drink this hot or cold.

Ah, mint and chocolate. Is there a better combo out there in the world? I'm not sure there is, and I will fight you on it.

This tea is (understandably) very similar in profile to the rooibos cocomint and mint to be teas. Rich, chocolatey, minty and very satisfying

★★★★★

I brew this one for closer to 8 minutes, it gives me the strength of flavor I prefer. Perfect blend of chocolate and mint, I don't add any sweetener and just enjoy as is.

★★★☆☆

I found this to be too much coconut, overwhelms the green tea. If you like coconut, and don't like the grassy flavor of green tea but want to get its health benefits, this could be a good option for you!

It's been years and years since I last had green tea and I definitely wasn't making it properly back then, but now that I have an electric kettle and thermometer I decided to give some greens a try again! The cocomint here doesn't taste as strongly as it does in the rooibos (though I only gave it two minutes, I may try for 2.5-3 next time) but it is still a very pleasant mild tea with an enjoyable Thin Mint/York Peppermint Patty taste and smell to it. No sweetener needed.

I may make myself a green dessert blend with this to tweak it slightly, but I expect it will need to be pretty dominant in order to not get totally overwhelmed by anything else as it's a bit delicate (especially the mint part). Using chocolate chips or cocoa nibs as the accent might give it a little boost too.

My wife liked this one, had a nice chocolate mint flavor as you’d expect, just didn’t really pack much of a punch since it’s a green tea. Still good though!

Love the chocolate and mint combo--smells just like a peppermint patty. The addition of green tea was an admittedly odd choice, but does not ruin it for me. The peppermint is cool and refreshing without being too strong. Chocolate flavors could have been stronger, but they are still very present.

This tea is super fun! It really does taste like chocolate and mint. It's nice as well that it doesn't have a whole lot of caffeine like black teas.

There's a lot going on in this tea and I had to add a bit of honey for the coco to make it past a bit of grassiness. Mint is more of a scent than a flavor, brewing in the future I might add a pinch of from my stash.

In general, I'm not a fan of mint so I wasn't expecting to love this blend, but I was determined to give it a chance. The mint flavor doesn't overpower the taste of the green tea and the chocolate adds more depth. The flavors are balanced. It was a pleasant cup of tea.

Mint is the main flavor of this tea which I would call more refreshing than overpowering. With just a hint of chocolate and almost no participation from the green, this makes for a minty fresh cuppa.

This tea reminds of Christmas in a cup. Refreshing as a cold brew and cozy hot. The combination of mint and chocolate flavors are perfectly balanced.

Not the real thing baby! Although the tea was enjoyable, the vegetal flavoring of the green tea took away from the choco-mintyness of the cup.

This might be an alternative for those seeking less caffeine, but I am sticking to Jeff Jackson's CocoMint (https://www.adagio.com/signature_blend/blend.html?blend=185509).

The smell of the leaves was very promising, but once steeped, the grassy green tea kinda takes over. I can taste the mint, but not really the coconut. If you like grassiness more than me, you might have a better opinion of this one.

This tea was good enough except I would have liked more cocoa nibs and flavor. Initially there was a bit of a grassy taste but that backed off as the tea cooled a bit. The peppermint wasn’t overdone, and there was a hint of chocolate. It was a decent sip.

Update 10/22: This time I used the green tea setting on my VelociTEA (which is 165 F) and only steeped 2 min instead of 3. All this made a huge difference and now I don't get any grassiness at all. I love chocolate and mint combo so I am leaving the 4 stars but there are better versions that aren't green tea based so I am not bumping to 5 stars.

When hot this tea was grassy, even with adding honey. As it cooled the mint flavor came through and the grassiness went to the background. I am glad I did not accidentally use 212 degree water which is a typical mistake I make. I used 180 degrees as recommended on the package. I forgot to time it so I think I short- steeped it which was probably a good thing. I doubt I would order this since I am not a big fan of the grassy taste of green teas.

2022-10-18 Update:

Whiffs of mint and cocoa were on the nose again, as I opened today's packet. A quick 3-minute steep at 180°F created the familiar mellow yellow-green tea.

Mint was the star of the show, as usual. Cocoa was present enough to add a chocolate swirl to the mint. This time, I decided to add some of Adagio's Matcha Whipped Honey to the mix.
The honey enhanced all of the flavors! The cocoa became a sweet chocolate flavor, the green tea was strengthened by matcha, and the mint was still just as minty but more like a mint ice cream. Again, after each sip, a fresh cooling effect lingered alongside the moderately crisp green tea astringency.

Quite an enjoyable and balanced mint chocolate green tea. Try it with the Matcha Honey, I'd definitely recommend it!

2021-12-21 CommuniTEA Review:

The scent of mint and cocoa made itself known as we opened the packet. A white tea button press made steeping for 3 minutes at 180°F easy. A light yellow-green tea with a minty scent was produced.

Minty fresh flavors mixed with the crisp and dry green tea in a refreshing way. Cocoa flavors were mild enough to not overpower the mint and green tea. A fresh minty cooling effect was present alongside a moderate crisp green tea astringency.

Great overall flavor combo with just enough chocolate and mint to stay balanced in a green tea blend.
