Five stars isn't high enough to give this one; it's a family favorite for all our tea parties. YUM!
Fresh green tea flavored with summer cherries. Candied cherry aroma, juicy flavor and slightly dry finish.

Very good but I would like more cherry flavor in mine. Kind of like a juice almost if I am going to drink a fruit drink. Make sure you reuse the leaves for a second full batch but steep an extra 2 - 3 minutes.
One of my Favorites!!! It has Amazing Flavor Love love ❤️
I ended up buying a full size bag of this one. Love the cherry. Iced or hot.
There is a bit of a taste blip here for me. I am a person who does not tolerate basil, and I suspect this is along the same vein. There is a slighty soapy taste when I rebrew this tea. So, simply I do not rebrew it! :)
This is by far the best green tea I have ever had. I sweeten it with rock sugar, and there is nothing like it on a hot day. My son doesn't really like tea and he loves it.
Today's CommuniTea packet is cherry green with green tea, wild cherry flavor, rose petals and cherries. It smelled strongly of cherries in the packet and I was afraid it would taste like cough drops, but the cherry mellowed considerably when it was brewed. Not my favorite tea, but nice as something different. It might be better cold, but I forgot to brew ahead. Steeped in 12 ounces of 180-degree water for two and a half minutes.
An enjoyable green tea that has a mild cherry flavor. It tastes even better mixed with other blends.
I was lucky 1 I had some actual cherry pieces. This was a smooth tea. I would have liked more cherry and less rose but was interesting.
I really love both cherry and rose so this was absolutely divine.
Opening the packet, cherry was certainly present. Almost an artificial scent. The tea itself was decent but more of a 'candy' sort of cherry flavor.
CommuniTEA 6/14/22: If you don't like rose, stay away from this tea. I think this should be called rose green instead of cherry green, because there's no cherry to be found. Instead it's as if I've stuck my head into a vat of rose water. As someone who likes rose a lot, I enjoyed this tea. If I wanted something that actually tasted like cherries I'd stick with Dewey Cherry instead.
175°F for 2½minutes
When hot, the artificial cherry flavoring and floral notes of the rose petals is balanced with the green tea, making it not unpleasant. However, as the tea cools, those flavors become overpowering, making finishing the cup a chore.
not a bad tea, kinda reminds me of artificial cherry candy. milk and honey definitely boosted this tea a ton
Smells artificially sweet, like cherry candy or Twizzlers. The tea is lightly green, a little vegetal. The soft rose and cherry covers it. Nice way to introduce someone to greens - hot tastes more artificial, iced is better.
I didn’t see any cherry pieces in my CommuniTEA packet. There was plenty of green tea and a few small pieces of rose petals.
I like fresh cherries, but have a strong aversion to many artificial cherry flavors due to some bad experiences with cough syrup as a kid. Unfortunately, this tea leaned more towards the medicinal side than the fresh cherry side for me. I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t really enjoy it much either.
I cold brewed today's communiTEA sample, and it was a nice, refreshing green tea with a light cherry taste. It wasn't grassy or bitter.
Odd combo of perfume and medicinal. Would love to try without rose.
*update*
I am not sure if I changed or the recipe changed since I reviewed this back in 2013, but in 2022 it takes just like cough syrup. It does not have a natural cherry taste at all and is so artificial that I could not bring myself to finish it. Really disappointing since I remembered it being a favorite tea and my old review matched that.
The first thing you notice is the almost overwhelming aroma of cherries when you open the bag, not bad but very strong. After a brew you still get the aroma and a delicate taste of cherries and a mild green tea. A very smooth tea evoking spring time.
Medicine water
Is the main taste that I get
Not bad, just not good.
CommuniTEA Sample - (2022 Update)
Well, not much has changed this time around other than apparently my sample had even more rose and less cherry flavor. It's just not going to be a winner for me.
(2021 Review) Unfortunately, my sample didn't contain any cherry pieces, so I can't give a thorough review. I went ahead and brewed it up anyway and it is a nice cup of green tea with some rose aroma and flavor. No cherry that I can detect at all. I look forward to trying this one again, with some cherries.
I did try a 2nd steep (cold instead of hot) and it muted the rose flavor a lot and some of the cherry notes did come through, even though there weren't any cherry pieces in it. It was better cold steeped than hot.
I’m not a big fan of artificial cherry flavor so this tea isn’t a favorite. I added some agave and it was ok.
This isn't my favorite of adagio's cherry teas or their green teas. It was vaguely reminiscent of cough syrup - I think the cherry marzipan pulls it off better. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this enough to go for a second steeping. There was no bitterness in this tea, which I always appreciate!
My communiTEA packet had a few cherries and not any rose petals that I could see which was just fine with me. Brewed up hot it had a nice light cherry taste. I didn't find it to have any grassiness that green tea sometimes has. I was very nice!
Updated review 6/14/22 After reading my previous review, I decided against cols brewing. I didn't notice that many rose petals, so I left them in. I didn't see any cherries. Brewed at 175 for 2 mins. I do taste cherry and very faint rose . I will let my second steep get room temp and then ice. Cherry isn't a favorite flavor of mine, but this tea has redeemed itself.
I really wanted to like this one. There were jo cherries in my CommuniTea packet, but lots of rose petals and beautiful green tea leaves. I cold brewed for 4 hours. The tea was extremely bitter with no hint of the fruit flavor. Maybe it was the rose petals ? For the second steep, I removed the rose petals and brewed hot, 175 for 3 minutes. It was a much smoother cup with a faint taste and aroma of fruitiness. So if this tea crosses my path again, I will give it another try . But first I will take out those darn rose petals.
Oh my goodness, the cherry flavoring has a really bad taste for me. If this blend had used a different flavoring, it might have been a decent tea. I brewed it at 180 for 2 minutes, but it’s a no-go for me. Sorry.
Very cherry. Retains cherry flavor through multiple steeps. Good cold.
As ever, I am back on my nonsense, cold-brewing most fruit-forward teas. This one… is fine. Not amazing, not horrible, but fine. My communiTea packet didn’t have any cherries in it, which absolutely would have changed the overall flavor, and I would have liked to have it as it was MEANT to be, because I suspect it would have been a little bit better… but as it stands? Within about ten minutes of just having the leaves in room temp water, it gave off that artificial, medicinal cherry flavor. About twenty minutes in, thankfully, the rose actually stepped up and took away that medicine flavor, actually both combining well with the cherry and somewhat dominating it. In most cold brews, rose can be a huge bully and block out any of the good flavors of a tea, but this was a thoughtful addition that added back some of the necessary floral notes of dark fruits. The green tea itself, as I’m sure we’ve all come to expect from Adagio, was delicious, smooth, and not overly aggressive in either it’s grassiness or bitterness. Truly, I do think this would have better with the intended cherry pieces, and PERHAPS just a pinch of sweetener to further wake up the fruit flavors… but I have to judge this tea on what it is, not what it theoretically could be. And what it is, is… well… fine.
I've been enjoying the green teas a lot more than I thought I would. This green tea is slightly grassy but not vegetal and the cherry flavor is present but not overly strong. The rose is a little strong for my preference but overall the drink was good!
This tea was ok. I really like green teas but I wasn't really liking the cherry flavor.
This is an excellent green tea. I don’t detect any grassiness and the cherry flavor is a nice addition. It’s great cold brewed!
To me Cherry Green blend smells and tastes like bubblicious gum… I cold brewed it over night. Possibly hot this would taste better but unfortunately for me I can only review it as cold brewed this time and its just not for me.
I'm not usually a fan of cherry flavor but was pleasantly surprised by this tea. The rose petals were strong and combined with the cherry made a lovely floral flavor.
Cherry flavoring in many candies and teas alike reminds me of cherry flavored medicines. This tea was the same, and on the subtly astringent green tea base, that medicinal note stands out. This is not the tea for me, but it might be good if one does not associate cherry flavoring with Pedia-care. (1.75 minutes @ 175F)
This tea is one-dimensional - very sugary and syrupy throughout. There wasn't really any cherry or green tea flavor to speak of. I wouldn't drink this again.
CommuniTEA portion: Cold brewed today's tea overnight and I'm not sure that was the correct choice. Overpowering rose and cherry make this blend a little too artificial and bitter to me. Not even able to taste the green tea much. Would try it again for sampling sake.
Cold brewed overnight. Much mellower cherry flavoring and the green came through stronger. I prefer this tea with a little extra water and over ice.
6/21This tea had a nice balance of cherry flavor and green tea. A nice light tea hot or cold.
Wasn't fond of this tea. Tasted to much like cough medicine.
UPDATE 6-14-22: Today's CommuniTEA is Cherry Green. This time, I tried it with some burdock and green tea honey. It is still not very flavorful; however, the burdock offered a smoother taste and helped facilitate the sweetness from the honey, which makes it more enjoyable. I do plan to make this one at least a couple more ways to see what I can do to it, but it is pretty good.
ORIGINAL: I brewed my Cherry Green hot with extra rose petals and green tea honey. Unfortunately, it was not sweet and actually not flavorful at all. I was really taken aback because I normally love fruity and floral teas. I am not sure if I would recommend this tea.
updated 6/14/2022: after looking at my review from last year I picked out the couple of rose petals present in my packet. The tea tastes better than last time, more fresh cherry than rosebush. Though as it cools I again have the rose coming through much stronger. If you like rose flavors than this is the tea for you. (180F for 2min)
original 6/3/2021: There were no cherries in my communiTea packet. When drinking hot, the tea starts with a nice fresh cherry flavor and ends on a dry rose note. I thought the tea was good in the beginning, but then the rose flavor came out more and more and I was not a fan. I chilled some to try later I get a fruity rose-ish blend that is pleasant but not amazing. I was sad to loose the nice cherry flavor upon chilling.
Cherry Green
Recommended Steep: 2-3 minutes @180°F
I steeped for the recommended temperature and time in approximately 11 oz of water with 1 tsp of rock/tea sugar.
This blend smelled strongly of medicinal cherry upon opening, which put me in mind of the sore throat medicine Sucrets. Unfortunately the taste wasn’t one that I enjoyed. Maybe with a little more sugar, I would like it better, but I couldn’t get past the smell, and the taste wasn’t so much cherry as medicine-y. I’m beginning to wonder if some of the fruit warm weather teas are not for me. This is not one I will try again. 2 stars.
I love the strong wild cherry flavor of this tea. I did add a bit of sugar to bring out more of the fruitiness though.
I love the cherry, rose and green combo. This is great cold or warm brewed.
When opening the communitea packet I noticed a distinctly cherry aroma, though the rose scent was most definitely present as well. I’ve read other reviews that likened the flavor to Koolaid or cough syrup, but didn’t get the taste of either within my cup. Instead, the cherry and the rose felt like they competed against each other, with neither really complimenting the other. The flavor felt muddled, and I drank most of the tea trying to decide how I felt about the flavor. In the end, I think the floral was just too much for me. I think it detracted from the wild cherry flavor and gave it an unnatural mouth feel to me. This one isn’t bad, but it’s not a tea for me.
14 Jun ‘22 review: No cherry pieces were noted in my communiTEA packet. However, there was plenty of green tea and rose petals. Moderate cherry flavoring and mild rose aromas were noted.
I had 3.03 grams of ingredients, enough for a 12 ounce medium strength steep. I steeped at 175°F for two and a half minutes when color depth was not getting any darker.
When hot, mild rose flavors were noted. Green tea tastes were smooth. I added ⅛ teaspoon of sugar to bring out the cherry flavors.
When warm, mild cherry and moderate rose flavors were noted. The green tea bought a mild and smooth buttery flavor. However, a moderate bitterness was noted.
Towards finish, the rose overwhelmed the cherry and tea flavors. I added another star this year, for mild cherry flavors and that I finished it. (2.5 mins @ 175ºF, ⅛ tsp sugar)
⭐️ 1 Jun 20 review: I think I got a bad batch in my tiny sample. The only items I saw were the rose petals and green tea ... no cherry pieces were noted. Upon steeping the was no cherry taste at all! However, there was plenty of floral aromas. All I smelled and tasted was rose and maybe sandalwood. I could not taste the green tea at all as it was overpowered by other tastes. Sugar didn’t help. Sorry, I had to throw it out ... just too perfumey! (3 mins @ 175F)
I love this tea! Wonderful, bright flavor that I like to make into ice tea
Maybe it's better for others, but to me the 'Cherry flavoring' added is just kinda icky :( I don't really enjoy extracts too much. I can totally get where the 'soap taste' one person mentioned comes from. It tasted more like cheap cherry syrup diluted into a tea. Doesn't sound like that should be bad, but it was pretty 'meh' for me lol
Very delicious, my go-to sweet morning favorite!!!
I drink adagio green tea chilled every day!
Today I’m trying a new one “ Cherry Green”. I think this may end up being my favorite!!!
A nice green tea with a small hint of cherry. It's also good iced
