I'm not sure what I was expecting with this tea. The description started out talking about Vanilla icecream, so maybe I was thinking this would be more like that...like a vanilla bean. But it's a very soft and faint vanilla. Adding sugar brings out some sweetness and flavor, which I like. I had hoped adding some milk would give a richness to the vanilla, but it almost deadened the flavor. Not impressed, but not disappointed either. I think I'm going to use the rest to blend with other teas.

Love this tea. I mix vanilla with golden monkey for a complex flavor.

This vanilla tea is strong but not overpowering. It's best with just a bit of sweetener, but doesn't need too much.

The aroma of this tea loose in the bag is not very pleasant. When I opened the bag I got a huge whiff of a chemical-like scent. However, once the tea has been brewed, it's quite good. The flavor is light and delicate.

I received this free sample with my order. This is one of my all time favorite teas. Its my go to tea when I need a pick me during the day. I add it to other teas that have flat or bland taste. I keep plenty of vanilla tea in stock.

I bought several flavored black teas to drink whilst kicking sugar. This vanilla black tea is wonderful alone or with a bit of cream. Can only imagine how lovely it would be with a cube of sugar!

it might just be my ignorance, but this tea didn't smell like the traditional vanilla scent i'm used to. it was also quite lackluster when brewed. i think i had just had misguided expectations for the blend though.

I don't like my teas flavored quite this strongly, but even so, this was pretty good.

Vanilla and apricot... now that combination is good.

A really affordable good tea. This is what you could an everyday tea.

Classic and delicious. Perfect mixed into pretty much anything!

The tea smelled great, but I didn't really get too much vanilla taste in it. It certainly wasn't bad by any means, but just not as strongly flavored as some of the other teas I've gotten from Adagio.

This tea brewed up surprisingly strong. It was a deep brown color and smelled really nicely vanilla-y. I added some sugar, and it tasted smooth, and lightly vanilla. It was more of a fresh vanilla taste than I expected! It was pretty good, but a little bland. I definitely wanted it to be a deeper vanilla taste. It rebrewed, but not very nicely. It was even lighter in taste. Definitely did not taste like cookies or ice cream. I will be using this in blends, it is too bland to drink by itself. It is better with almond milk and sugar.

Sweet but not overwhelmingly so. Great for blending, too!

What is there to say: this is a vanilla tea. I ended up blending it with something else to make the vanilla less strong in the brew.

This one is no frills. It tastes like average quality black tea with well balanced vanilla flavor. It is very nice, doesn't rock my world. I think it would be good for people who just want an easy to drink hot beverage on a cold day.

It is really nice and smooth. Sorry but alot are smooth. This is really sweet on its own.

This is so mellow and lightly sweet. So yummy. It is a must try.

Taste is very similar to the 'cream' tea, which is a good thing.

Could use a bit more flavor, frankly, but not a bad cup of tea. Definitely better for mixing than as a standalone tea.

I ordered this tea along with Cream flavors to mix with teas I've found bland or undesirable on their own. It is okay on its own but tastes much better with other teas. Plus, the smell is delicious! I did find it got bitter at the recommended time and temp, so I'll have to mess around with the temperatures.

I mainly use it with other blends but it is delicious and adds just that touch of vanilla that I love and want!

I love this tea. It is by far my favorite. With sugar or without it's really tasty.

A nice smooth tea, best used for mixing with other teas.

Wonderful on its own and absolutely freaking UNBELIEVABLE with the cream an almond tea. They taste like a sugar cookie!

I liked this tea a lot. The vanilla was not over powering, which was good. I really enjoyed it.

Tasted a bit artificial and strange. It will be good for blending, but I don't intend to drink it on it's own.

Black teas are always a favorite, and the vanilla is a tasty addition. It blends well with the other teas I have and makes it easy to transform, for example, a basic earl grey into something a little more special.

I needed to add sugar to this tea, otherwise it was a little bland and the vanilla was hard to distinguish. Taste wonderful with sugar and/or cream.

A great black tea with vanilla flavoring. Just the right amount of flavor- smells great straight from the package and retains its vanilla flavor after brewing. Great to add to other teas as well.

I got vanilla tea because I read that vanilla is actually good for treating headaches, and I'm always looking for simple home remedies for any ailments when I can. I'm not sure if this tea has pure vanilla or just vanilla flavoring, but when I actually brew it correctly (I'm still somewhat of a 'newbie' at brewing), I can make a better review of its flavor.

I thought I died and went to heaven when i took my first sip. Very smooth and very satisfying.

Delicious. It smells great, it tastes great. I like to mix it with others or just drink it one its own. I'm a big fan of black teas, and this is one of my must-haves.

Just don't over-steep it because it'll quickly become bitter.

One of my favourites. I tend to add this into other teas.

I used this as a compliment in my regular black tea instead of cream flavored tea. To my surprise, it mellows out the tea and adds a bit of sweetness that the cream doesn't. I may try this with my chocolate chip tea to see if I can get a chocolate chip cookie flavor.

Not something I would personally drink just as-is (though many of my friends would probably disagree, and they like sweet-stuff more), but I ADORE mixing this tea with others for blends. ESPECIALLY green teas, oh my goodness.

I was a little hesitent to get this. Im not the biggest Vanilla fan.

This brew is a little strong for my taste, but when mixed with the right amount of cream and sugar, it becomes a comforting cup to brighten your morning!
