Perfect for making milk tea! Reminds me of Red Velvet cake!

CommuniTEA 2022: I will remove a rose petal or two to avoid a too-floral note, but this is still four stars, still a delicious chocolate strawberry treat!
2021: A few weeks ago CommuniTEA members were treated to a chocolate-strawberry Aphrodite blend but this had a slightly more pronounced strawberry taste. It would have been lovely to see an actual piece of strawberry in my portion, but the flavor was reasonably there without, 3min at 195F and some rock sugar. This would probably be nice with some sort of creamy component but I do prefer my teas dark and clear. Interested in trying the Adagio Libra blend to compare!

Celebrating a day of love while enjoying this tea on Valentine's Day. This is a blend of chocolate and strawberry but neither was equally prominent. When the tea was hot, I tasted more strawberry. As the tea cooled, I tasted more chocolate. Neither was exciting, even when adding a splash of cream or a drip of honey. This tea is worth a try to see if the flavors jump out for you!

UPDATE!!! New Review: Happy Valentine's Day! Today is my 7 year wedding Anniversary to My Husband. Jeffrey. We have been together for over 22 crazy and wonderful years, Now for the review: CommuniTea Packet:: I like my flavored black tea strong, so i use some more tea. I had a extra Valentine tea sample, in my tea collection. (thank god) :) The Chocolate and Strawberry flavor is very decadent, with milk and sweetener. Valentines tea is a very romantic and tasty dessert tea.

Old Review: April 23rd 2008 : The tea was nice but needed to be a bit stronger. I will order this tea again and my friends love this tea also.

Roses, chocolate and strawberries added to a handsome Ceylon tea, it truly is Valentines in a cup. Enjoyed with the Communitea today. Hope this blend is available all year.

I thought this tea represents Valentine's Day very well. It tastes just like a chocolate covered strawberry. Very yummy! Brewed at 190 fir 4 minutes.

This romantic tea is the best gift of chocolate covered strawberries and a bouquet of roses in a tea cup. It smells as good as it tastes and delivers a delightful chocolate berry taste with a hint of floral. My Valentine's Day could only improve with more cups of this.

My Ct packet had 5 g/ 3 tsp. of all ingredients. I brewed 18 oz. at 205*F for 3 min. The beautiful auburn liquor had a wonderful chocolate scent with a hint of berry. With a sweetener add of black tea honey the delightful flavor of chocolate alongside a bright berry tang came forward more with a hint of rose to finish. There was some pleasant astringency but no bitterness detected in the Ceylon tea base. A milder 8 oz. resteep was tasty and a chilled portion had a nice chocolatey taste with the berry and floral flavors much mellowed by the cold. This is a terrific treat hot or cold that's great to sip and share. Happy Valentine's Day!

Smells absolutely wonderful but I found it very dry and bitter even after adding a teaspoon of honey. I was hopeful about this one, but it was not to my liking

Nice cup but mostly just tasted sweet without a discernible flavor profile. I enjoyed but wouldn't want to drink daily

A wonderful tea for Valentine's day! When hot, the chocolate flavor was faint. But once it cooled, the chocolate was more pronounced. I couldn't taste strawberry or rose.

Not a huge fan of this blend. My packet had no strawberries or chocolate chips today but the aroma was there. There was plenty of rose petals but they didn’t dominate the flavor. To hold off the bitterness that usually happens with Ceylon, I steeped at 190° for 2 minutes. There was zero strawberry flavor. I added honey for black tea and all that came forward was the chocolate. Adagio has a number of other teas with chocolate in them that I like, but this is not one of them. It tastes like cheap milk chocolate to me, and I’m a fancy dark chocolate girl. Not a bad blend, just not my cup of tea.

I wish this tea had a stronger chocolate and strawberry flavor. I was really looking forward to trying this tea, but my communiTea sample just tasted of weak black tea. I brewed at 212 for 3 minutes, not sure if a different temperature or timing would bring out more flavor or if you just need more tea leaves than I had, I had higher hopes for this one.

The smell of this tea in the CommuniTea packet was amazing - chocolate and strawberry. Make that into a candle! The delicious smell continued while it was steeping - 3 minutes at 212° per the instructions. Unfortunately the strawberry taste was non-existent when I drank the tea. The chocolate was still prominent and yummy, but I was sad that the strawberry and other flavors weren’t prevalent to me. It's a lovely chocolatey dessert tea, but if you're expecting strawberry flavor find yourself another valentine.

I didn’t like this tea the first time I had it. But I’d already bought a large bag of it, figuring that I would. After ignoring it for awhile, I decided to start drinking it regularly. Eventually I started enjoying it. Now that I am at the bottom of the bag, I’m thinking I might miss it when it’s gone. I may be reordering.

I went with a 195 F steep for 3 minutes and it was very slightly bitter. Next time, I’m going to try 2.5 minutes. The rose was noted but subtle. The chocolate, strawberry, and rose are the perfect flavor profile for Valentine’s Day! Sip, sip away! ❤️

The chocolate flavor is lovely, and I don't mind the roses either! Thankfully my sample seems to have less strawberries, as I can barely taste them.

Oh my gosh, I’m in love! I just love the nice chocolatey taste with the strawberries topping it off. This one definitely goes to the top of my list along with a few other top-notch teas. Such a lovely blend!

Valentine's is a strong black tea with a chocolate and floral flavors that come out nicely as the tea cools down. Like many others, I didn't catch any strawberry flavor, I think if the strawberry were more present it would take this tea from 'good' to 'amazing'. Still an enjoyable brew either way, and a nice tea to start Valentine's Day with :)

Lovely tea for Valentine's day! The aroma was lovely but I personally would have liked a little more strawberry flavor. I might try to mix this with Cupid's Cup and see what transpires! Stay tuned!

2022-02-14 Update: I was excited to try this blend again, so I quickly popped it into the VelociTEA maker and pressed the black tea button. Delicious strawberry and cocoa scents wafted up as it steeped. This time I let it steep for 4 minutes, creating a bold and strong brew. The flavor was just as I remembered it, but a little stronger on the Ceylon tea this time. Excellent for Valentine's Day breakfast!

2021-02-14 CommuniTEA Review:
Today's CommuniTEA packet released a strong smell of strawberries and cocoa. Steeping as a standard black tea for 5 mins at 212°F made an amber brown tea with strawberry scents still going strong.

The stawberries carry through to the flavor in a light and playful way with rose petals and cocoa nibs rounding out the black tea tannins. Subtly floral and fruity yet still bold from the Ceylon tea, the briskness is mild and tempered with an astringent finish.

Overall, this tea is a perfect chocolate strawberry Valentines blend to share with your love! Even without strawberry pieces present in the CommuniTEA packet, it still had enough strawberry flavor to satisfy. Perfect to pair with valentine's day chocolate truffles too!

The smell of strawberry in this blend is quite strong. But the flavor that comes through the most in the actual brew is the chocolate (which I don't mind, as a non-fan of strawberry!). This isn't bad, but I think I would prefer a cup of chocolate truffle to avoid the strawberry altogether.

A nice and smooth black tea with just the right hints of chocolate and strawberry. When hot, black tea flavor is the most prominent, but the strawberry and chocolate flavors are not far behind. Added a dab of milk and honey to this one out of habit, but they might not have been necessary in the end.

I don't always love strawberry teas, so today's CommuniTEA sample made me a little wary. But I had nothing to worry about! With the chocolate and rose in the mix, this steeps to a slightly-perfumey chocolate tea with just a hint of fruit. I really enjoyed it! A second steep was much less flavorful - the Ceylon stands up to a second steeping well, and the chocolate makes an appearance, but the rose and strawberry flavors are all but gone.

Pleasant enough tea. I usually add honey, which detracts from the tea itself. My second cup I didn't add honey and I intentionally steeped longer, the subtle flavors were much more present and more enjoyable.

It's dessert in a cup! It's easy to detect the chocolate and strawberry flavors

It was hard to taste either chocolate or strawberries in this tea, although the black tea flavor was strong and bracing. It smelled like them while opening the package and steeping it though. Perhaps a little milk would be beneficial.

The only negative about this tea is how fast it was gone! I really enjoyed this valentines day treat. The strawberry flavor could have perhaps been a bit stronger, but maybe that was just my packet.

CommuniTEA review: The aroma of this tea is lovely, lots of chocolate and warm fuzzies. The flavor is just a bit meh. The chocolate and rose get lost and the strawberry is very very faint. Overall fine but a bit disappointing.

CommuniTEA Sample: A decent tea with chocolate flavor, but I didn't get any strawberry at all, probably due to the small packet size. Strawberry would have been a good addition and helped balance out the flavor.

This tea was underwhelming... Chocolate and strawberry flavors are very mild. I brought them out with a bit of creamer, but even with that, this sip was dominated by strong ceylon flavor.

What a decadent aroma from this morning's CT packet, oh my! Adagio is going full romantic with the rich, heady scent of dark chocolate and the flirty pop of strawberries. I also spied some rose petals in there, but not being particularly partial to roses in my tea, I played a quick game of 'He loves me, he loves me not' (he does!) and tossed them aside before steeping.

This tea steeps a rich brown that reflects the deep chocolate flavor, with moderate astringency. A kiss of sugar and oat milk put it to rights though, and helped to get those strawberries up on their flirty game. They dance and dart through the cup like a little tease, letting you take a deep chocolate sip and then coming in from behind where they really shine.

A fine tea for the chocolate strawberry lover, or the chocoholic in general.

After tasting a few more times, I found that this tea wasn't actually a mild flavor - just that it needs a very long steep. At five minutes, it tasted more like strawberry, but was still a bit weak. At 10+ minutes the strawberry really comes through, with the chocolate present but more subtle than the strawberry. To go with the long brew time I also had to lower the temperature to keep it from getting bitter. After finding a better way of brewing, this makes for a lovely cup! This tea is a bit more tannic than I prefer, but all around it's a pleasant fruity tea.

Update 2/14/22: Got this in a communitea packet and tasted again, without remembering how I'd steeped it before. Steeped for 3 minutes at 212 (as is recommended), all I got was a moderate fruity flavor and a lot of tannins. I would definitely recommend altering the steep time and temperature

I really wanted to love this one but the black tea flavor didn't seem to let the chocolate and strawberry flavors to come through. The smell of the tea was Devine and even the brewed cup smells so good. I added 1 tsp of raw sugar and some cream to try to bring out the flavors more but it still tastes almost exclusively of black tea which is not bad but not what I expected.

I have found that with chocolate teas, I can smell strong chocolate from the leaves and even the aroma of the brewed tea but the taste is not present. Many talk about additives of sugar or cream that bring out that flavor but I prefer straight tea. This tea taste has a nice strawberry, creamy, and sweet flavor. I don't get any rose taste and a hint of something trying to be chocolate. With the lower brewing time I don't get much bitterness either. (194F, 3min)

Today's CommuniTea packet is valentines, made of black tea, rose petals, cocoa nibs, dark chocolate chips, strawberries, and chocolate and strawberry flavors. I'm not a fan of strong black tea, and flavored black teas can be problematic. I can smell a bit of chocolate, rose and even strawberry in this blend, but I can't taste any of them beyond the all encompassing black tea. 12 ounces of 200-degree water for three minutes.

I like the chocolate and strawberry combination of flavors, the tea is perfect for Valentine's Day. The CommuniTEA Packet was too weak for me, so I add more (from my own tea stash) of the tea to make it stronger. I used milk and sweetener to bring out all the wonderful flavors of this tea.
