The flavor and smell is wonderful. Chocolate is flavor is mild and adds to the overall flavor. Update: Make sure to not overstep because it will taste bitter.

This was not as flavorful as I anticipated. Still tasted good but I prefer a less muted profile.

Given the high reviews, I was expecting more from this tea. It's good but I don't taste much of caramel or chocolate. Maybe I should try with a little milk.

I tried this recently and like it much better. I think I used too much tea and oversteeped at first. I'm not a fan of the chocolate teas but this one harmonizes well and I like it much better.

★★★★★

One of my favorites. When I first tasted this tea, it reminded me of a tootsie roll. Now whenever I get a little bit of a chocolate craving, I turn to this.

★★★★★

This is honestly one of my favorite teas ever! It's a great replacement for dessert or it goes really well with a dessert that isn't too rich. The chocolate, caramel, and vanilla blend so well. I add a little honey and milk, and then it really is exactly what a candy bar would taste like if you made it into a tea.

★★★★★

I really liked this tea. The complex variety of flavors in just the right combination. I made this iced with some milk and it was excellent. I try not to add extra sugar to my drinks and this didn't need it at all. Ordering this one again.

★★★★☆

Delicious tea with a good naturally sweet flavor. The combination can be a bit strong and rich at times, but the chocolate and caramel does compliment the black tea excellently.

Great combination, as well as an enticing aroma. I love all these flavors together! Don't steep too long or it will be overpowering.

★★★★★

Oh the smell when you open the bag! Love this blend of chocolate, caramel and vanilla. Do not over brew as it tends to bitter. This is great alone or use as a blend. Either way, it is delish and I am a repeat buyer

This one is a bold black tea with strong caramel and chocolate notes. The first tea I sampled from Adagio and still enjoyable now.

Chocolate aroma. Chocolate flavor there. Caramel in front. Hard to share with family...

Great flavor. Nice caramel notes. I love this in the evening It’s good mixed with adagio chocolate tea Good for lattes

This was my gateway tea to Adagio. 5 out of 5 stars! The taste of caramel, cocoa, vanilla, seriously tastes like heaven. I never wanted my cup to be empty. Watch your timer with this one! It's seriously amazing!

After many years this is still my go to daily morning tea! Strong and flavorful is how I like to brew it. Never bitter and delicious

★★★★☆

I love chocolate, and this tea intrigued me. It's too strong to drink without milk or cream, at least for me. I normally drink black tea with 2% milk and it enhanced the chocolate/caramel taste and make it taste creamier without being too sweet. I'm not sure I'll buy this on a regular basis, but it was a nice tea around the holidays.

★★★★☆

This tea has a unique blend of sweet caramel and minerally tea. However, it is a match made in Heaven. Making this tea a perfect post-breakfast or dessert tea.

Normally I'm not a fan of tea with chocolate flavors but this tea has become one of my favorites. The hints of chocolate and caramel are just right.

★★★★★

Smooth chocolatey tea - it’s cozy and relaxing, with just enough sweetness to start the day off right. Highlight of my morning is when I restock on this one!

Tried and was surprised -good tea, more flavor than I expected, slight chocolate , added a little honey

★★★★★

Ideally this would be 4.5 stars - 5 for taste and 4 for being a tricky brew. The first time I tried this I did as I normally do - use extra tea and brew at 212, but that resulted in a terribly bitter cup of tea! Once I dropped the amount of tea and the temp to 200 things really picked up. More caramel instead of chocolate, but both are there in flavor. Milk can save an over steeped cup if needed.

Love this tea! I got it as part of their sampler box, and to be honest, didn't expect to like it at all. I do not usually like any teas with chocolate flavors.
There is something about this blend where everything plays together so nicely. You can taste the nibs, but they do not overpower the overall flavor. Just a wonderful balance of all the flavors. All the flavors blend together into a cup of wonderful that feels decadent, without feeling dessert-like.
Just added this to my next shipment to have around if I want more of a treat!

Doesn’t go bitter, I like to steep a long time. I was hoping this one would be sweeter, more decadent, I drink my tea without added sugar or cream and this one needs both.

A reliable blend of caramel and cocoa when you want a late night treat. Great with a sprinkle of sweetener or a splash of milk or cream.

I originally ordered this tea about a year ago as a sample and immediately knew it would become a favorite in my house. The rich caramel and chocolate notes pair beautifully with the black tea. Pair it with some frothed vanilla creamer and you’re good to go. Perfect for a relaxing night with a book or for people new to loving tea. Its creamy and delicious and will be well stocked on my tea shelf.

I’m a big fan of the way the subtle chocolate and caramel notes play together here. Tiger Eye is a must-have of flavored black teas.

★★★★★

A really indescribable flavor; chocolatey but not too much, a little chai-like at the same time, I really adore it

6/10 This tea isn’t a bad tea, but I prefer very flavorful blends. It’s mild and good as far as black teas go. It’s just too bland for my preferences.

Update on 1/14/23 - I tried a lower steeping temp of 195, used less water, and added a generous spoonful of rock sugar to the steeping leaves. This tasted delicious, though I could still sense a little bitterness in the background. I now give this tea 5 stars compared to the last time I tried it when it was only a 3-star.
Original review- I like this tea but didn’t love it. I had trouble pulling the chocolate and caramel flavors out from the taste of the black tea.

While tasty, this was definitely a blend that needed some sugar. I can handle most teas without and generally only add to help bring out flavor, but this one definitely benefited.

★★★★★

Loved this. It has the same comforting vibe as chai, but with no spice. Instead caramel, vanilla, and chocolate. I would have called it blondie after my favorite bar cookie! Brewed per instructions, added honey and milk.

★★★★★

The heavenly aroma of sweet chocolate hits the senses first, then the caramel! This tea reminds me of those fancy restaurant desserts!! So good!! The tea is fabulous without sweetener, but I love mine with a tad of sweetener and a big dollop of whipped cream.

★★★★★

Oh man I love this tea. The dark, earthy flavors create a perfect harmonious blend. Best sipped in a remote jungle by a dying fire while reading William Blake and pondering the mysteries of life. https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/43687/the-tyger

Sweet and rich. The vanilla and caramel help to soften out the lightly bitter chocolate taste. It gets a creamier taste to it as it cools.

1-14-23 update - This blend feels like a 'less is more' steeping approach. Too much heat or time leads to it being bitter and it's very easy to to accidentally enter this territory in a way I haven't ever l encountered with other blends. I try to counteract this with 190°F for 2 minutes and 30 seconds to no more than 3 minutes. Today's cup was more caramel and chocolate heavy, and any vanilla notes were absent the whole way through, even with agave added to try and top all notes up. Still a pleasant drink.

The actual flavors in this blend weren't very strong but they added a nice natural sweetness to this black tea blend. The cup I got was very smooth and perfectly sweet, all I needed to add was a splash of oat milk!

Don't like chocolate flavoring in my tea. But it does smooth out the astringency. Tasted as part of The CommuniTea.

★★★★★

Love it; the chocolate, caramel and vanilla blend together into a delightful sweet tea.

★★★★★

Yummy! This tea was delicious! It's the perfect base of flavors to blend with other tea. The caramel really shines in this tea and the chocolate and vanilla add even more depth to make it such a delicious blend even if you drink it by itself. I will definitely keep this one stocked in my cabinet.

Dark, smooth, bittersweet dessert tea. I can taste both the chocolate and the caramel, and neither overpower the tea itself. Very tasty!

★★★★☆

I was met with sweet aromas of caramel and chocolate when I opened my CommuniTEA packet. I steeped the tea for about 2 minutes as I didn't want it to become bitter. It produced a beautiful dark amber cup of tea. The black tea flavor was prominent, but I did get hints of caramel and chocolate, especially as the tea cooled down a little bit. Overall a very smooth tasting tea that has some sweetness to it.

This is a nice brisk black tea with delicious chocolate flavor. My CommuniTEA packet had a little extra in it so I was able to steep a full 12 oz. 212 degrees for 3 min.

CommuniTEA portion: Steeped at 195 for 3 minutes. I have been wanting to try this one. A very nice black with caramel and chocolate notes. A little stronger base than I prefer but still enjoyable. I think I would like to try this as a latte of sorts next time to cut the strength.

Yummmmmm, I could drink this one every day. The chocolate and caramel were such a warm and cosy aroma upon opening the packet, and the flavour was just as deep and inviting. Perfect for a dreary day like today.

In the bag: Almost entirely the thin, brittle, black leaves of ceylon. A few stems made it in with the leaves. There's also a few large cocoa nibs scattered about.

On the nose (pre-steep): Dark chocolate is the main flavor, but only by a cocoa nib's length. Light scents of caramel and vanilla are right behind. Notes of sugar lie beneath. Medium intensity.

On the nose (post-steep): The flavors have become quite light, like a fine cocoa powder. It's hard to distinguish the vanilla and caramel, though I can still pick out the chocolate.

On the tongue (pre-sweetener): As with the post-steep scent, most of the additives washed away with the steep. Here we have the dark, bitter chocolate notes of ceylon and not much else. Some bitterness.

On the tongue (post-sweetener): Not much change. I get a tiny bit more chocolate, but I can't rule out the placebo effect.

Opinion: A pleasant enough tea that failed to live up to its potential. The blender should have cranked up the volume on the additives because that scent was delicious. I wish those flavors had made it to my tongue.

Preparation: 3 min @ 195 ℉, ½ tsp monk fruit sweetener

The tiger's prowling; caramel and chocolate; scent the air softly (haiku review)

A lovely black tea with warm notes of chocolate and caramel. Not overly sweet...just right. And the aroma...wonderful! A new favorite of mine! Don't oversteep this one and measure the tea. It can get a bit bitter if overdone. 1 t per cup, 3 minutes at 212 and it's sweet and perfect, IMO.
1/27/21 - still one of my favorite black teas! I pulled my water temp back a bit to 200F for 3 minutes. Gives it a nice sweet finish. Definitely don't overbrew this one. If the first cup is off from what you like...tweek brew time/water temp and find your sweet spot with this one. It's worth it!
1/14/2023 - Love this tea!! Always so good!
