Seeing this tea in many of the fandom blends, I was excited to give it a taste. The black tea base is very smooth, without any bitterness and just a nice little bit of astringency to keep it interesting. The dominant flavor is of a rich caramel. A little chocolate flavor came through, and probably would have been enhanced with some sugar or milk. I can see why this is used in so many blends.

For me, the desserty sweet-ish flavors weren't strong, more like a hint. I didn't have any cocoa nibs in my CommuniTEA packet and maybe that would have made a little difference. As my cup cooled, chocolate/cocoa notes came out a bit more. This blend of flavors works well together, and tasting this tea on its own, I can see why it sort of smooths things out in blends. I think my cup would have been a little better with honey (instead of the rock sugar I used) and a richer creamer than what I had, maybe even a vanilla creamer. This was a nice enough cup and I would drink this if offered to me, but i wouldn't seek it out on it's own. I definitely have a better idea of why this works well in blends, though! (3 mins @ 195º)

I think this is my favorite so far. It has hints of chocolate and vanilla and caramel. It is light and not overly strong. I like it with a little frothed almond milk.

What a great flavored tea. A sweet combination of caramel and chocolate that hits the spot as an after dinner sweet!

I love tigers eye. To me it is sweet but not too sweet and is going to be a tea I keep in my inventory for quite some time.

Love the light chocolaty creaminess of this. Makes for a great treat when my sweet tooth kicks up.

It's an okay tea, I personally don't care for the flavor of caramel mixed with chocolate as much as I thought I would

A simple black tea with a sweet nuttiness to it. Milk/cream mellows any astringecy nicely. A very nice black tea.

Tastes like a decadent piece of chocolate. Not too rich and it’s the perfect solution for a sweet tooth.

Brewed at 212F for 3 min with rock sugar added
This tea smells like caramel filled chocolate. The flavor is very close to that as well along with an unmistakable black tea flavor. I look forward to trying this tea again but in latte form. There is already a slightly creamy quality to it, and I would love to enhance that. This is the kind of tea that would be a perfect accompaniment to relaxing after a long day. I definitely recommend this tea to others.

This one is unique. I’m still debating if I like the taste. To me. it’s one of those teas that it’s not bad but not absolutely wonderful. It’s a middle of the road for me.

I've had this in blends before but this is my first time trying it by itself. It's lovely -- the flavors mingle well and are good and strong without being overpowering. With a little oat milk it makes a wonderful latte.

Good tea but having to write a review that is at least 50 characters is stupid.

This is the best chocolate tea, has a nice bold chocolate flavor but well rounded.

Hands down one of my favorites. It's so creamy and delightful. It tastes like caramel.

A strong flavored tea with a smooth and satisfying aftertaste.

Some years ago a group of friends and I would visit this tiny tea room in Capitola, California. There we had a tea suggested to us and that it tasted like a Snickers bar. We loved this tea.. say,, the tea room closed and we never found it again,, until now.. This tea is so smooth with cocoa and carmel filling your nose before you even taste it. Make it as sweet as you wish, but remember that milk or cream for a luscious tea experience. Thank you Adagio. First time customer but definitely intend to become a repeat one.

It smells delicious dry in the pouch, and I can pick out chocolate and caramel scents. Brewed, it was more of a deep, toasty caramel flavor, that paired really nicely with the black tea. I couldn't really taste the chocolate so much as I could smell it with each sip. Overall, I really liked it, but think of it more as just a caramel tea.

I'm very glad I tried this in the 'flavors' portion sampler, as I now have a full bag of it! The scent of the tea leaves is mouthwatering, like a candy bar. Though the taste is not as rich as the smell of the leaves, it is very satisfying and has a nice depth of flavor.

This is my mom's absolute favorite tea. I also love to mix it with peppermint

I like this. It’s very warm and comforting with a slight caramel like taste.

Desserty and lovely. I hope they make a decaf version, so that I can have it after dinner. A bit of nuttiness but definitely predominantly chocolatey. Perhaps a bit subtler than the chocolate truffle flavor, but also a bit more complex. Perfect cure for a bad mood.

It tastes a lot like chocolate licorice! I was curious to try this and it was a good impulse buy, very tasty!!

Caramelly lovely warm goodness! I’m normally not a chocolate or caramel fan, but I like this.

The caramel and chocolate were too subtle for me; it tasted like black tea with a barely-present hint of some sort of other flavoring. I like the Butterscotch much better for a sweet-caramel-tasting tea, and I'll be sticking with that one over this.

This is the perfect dessert tea! I love the way that the caramel and chocolate blend perfectly together to make a tea that is not too sweet overall.

Another one of my diet favorites. The caramel feels super decadent and the chocolate takes a backseat, but this is a great cup and doesn’t need sweetener to feel like dessert. I do add unsweetened almond milk for a little creaminess.

Eh. Not bad, but I wanted more of a chocolatey flavor. I'll finish my sample bag but I don't think I'll be reordering.

I was looking for a black tea comparable to Monster Mash which is only available during Halloween. My bag of Tiger Eye had a very strong chemical smell to it, and the taste was also a bit off. I think it might be the chocolate flavor added to it. I would not recommend this tea.

Nice flavor, a little heavier on the chocolate than the caramel. It's prone to oversteeping, but as long as brewing is carefully timed it is well balanced.

I tried this tea first without cream, and I wasn't sure if I liked it, but the second time I tried it, I used turbinado sugar and cream, and it's a great dessert tea. I think I was expecting more chocolate from it, but it doesn't have the rich chocolate flair like chocolate truffle... that said, I'm not getting a fake chocolate flavor either. It's smooth and sweet, and I'll probably do some blending with it. I'd like to try using coconut sugar in this to bring out a little more caramel flavor, but I'll typically stick with my stevia. Not sure if I'll immediately purchase this one again when I run out, but I am enjoying it.
I will say, I did overstep by a couple of minutes (I usually go 5 min @ 206 F), and I didn't taste any bitterness.

I get some mild caramel, chocolate and vanilla flavors that are not overpowering. I have not tried this with some milk and sugar, or as a latte, but this would probably work well with either.
