This is a nice tea the flavor is good but there are teas I like much more than this one. Be careful not to over steep as it does get bitter quickly.
Return to your southern roots! Toasty and creamy with roasted sweet potato notes, hints of cinnamon and a decadent, playful cup.

I really enjoyed this tea. There is a bit of sweet potato flavor to it. I wish there was a bit more spice, but it's still a nice cup.
Delicious! It really does remind me of sweet potato pie. Cinnamon forward with a pleasantly light ginger finish. I added a little sugar to bring out the flavors.
This tea has lots of flavor, and is delicious. I thought I would try the sweet potato pie tea because I do like sweet potatoes and pumpkin spice tea. Wow, exquisite flavor and taste.
This was OK. Rather than being called Sweet Potatoe Pie, it should be called Black Tea with Cinnamon
Very unusual flavor, a dry sour-sweetness like raisins, or almost like formosa oolong. To me it tastes more like mince pie than like sweet potato pie, but it's good!
A solid good tea - you can taste the sweet potato, and is a good fall tea. Wish it was a tad stronger.
I like this tea quite a bit. I had 4 different cups of it and most of the time, the sweet potato pie flavor was evident but one of my cups was very astringent from the Black tea base I'm guessing, Adding a sweetener to this tea really amplifies the pie flavor so I'd highly recommend adding some stevia or monk fruit to it.
Delicious aroma and amazing taste. The sweet potato is quite noticeable while the ginger and cinnamon take a back seat and aren't overwhelming. Delightful and sweet on it's own, I added a touch of brown sugar for the added flavor profile just because it's sweet potato after all.
Excellent tea! You really do taste the sweet potato in this, and IMO it is best w/ a sweetener and a creamer (I used honey & half-n-half) for the fullest dessert-like experience. The mouthfeel on this is also substantial; it doesn't give a 'watered down' impression and as such provides a nice sense of satiety when drinking. If you enjoy sweet potatoes, this tea is definitely for you! Would love to see a decaf version of this.
This tea has such a wonderful flavor that really does taste like sweet potato pie! It has a bit of a sweet flavor paired with light notes of cinnamon and ginger and a very creamy finish. This is a great tea to enjoy especially in the fall and winter seasons!
I didn't care for this tea as much. I was expecting more of a pumpkin flavor like sweet potato pie. Maybe you can fix that
Taste is sweet and has the spices used in pumpkin pies and everything else in the autumn, but the tea was pleasant overall.
Strong smell upon opening the bag however I found the brew to be a bit bland for my taste. Monk fruit and creme helped a bit.
Yum! This tea has an earthy and lightly sweet taste that surprised me. Delicious and not overly done with too much spice.
I had great hopes for this tea but the first steep (212* and 3 minutes) wasn't what I was hoping for. I did add honey and oat milk to it but it's still just an ok cup of tea. It appears that this tea can be steeped a 2nd time, according to other reviewers, so I'll try it again later.
Just not for me. It’s the first cup I’ve poured out instead of drinking. Couldn’t really taste the sweet potato or ginger- I’m not sure what I expected, but it wasn’t this.
This flavor is so unusual but utterly gorgeous! I can now day I love sweet potatoes in any form, including liquid, lol! I've never had sweet potato pie but I'm thinking of baking one now.
My friend and I both tried this tea, on its own, and with cream and sugar. Neither of us enjoyed the taste. I think it was the sweet potato itself that gave this tea a bit of a compost-y flavor.
This is the best tea to drink as you prepare for Thanksgiving. So festive.
Really clear spicy sweet potato flavor. Loved it.
But don’t accidentally steep too long as it becomes very bitter.
The smell was quite nice when brewed hot. However, the sweet potato was a bit too subtle when drinking the tea. I found adding in dried sweet potato pieces during the brewing helped to enhance the flavor.
I usually drink green teas but a friend gifted me a sample of this and it might be my new favorite. I just came back to buy a 3oz bag so I can share it with my mother. With a little milk and honey this is dessert. It smells like sweet potato pie and the taste is a smooth black tea with just the right amount of spice.
I really enjoyed this tea , sweet potato pie is simply decadent. So smooth and tastes like a desert, Would purchase again .
This tea is seriously awesome. This is high praise from me as I usually find flavored blacks just ho-hum. It's just such a rich, delicious, satisfying sip. It's perfect for a damp fall day or a chilly winter morning--it's got seasonal chops to spare! Could you sip it year round? Sure! But I think this one fits the holiday season like a glove. The deliciousness begins when you open the packet. It definitely smells like sweet potato pie! The sip itself is brimming with hearty sweet potato richness and sparks of cinnamon. I added sweetener as I always do with flavored blacks. What can I say, this is a brew that makes me swoon! Happy Sipping!
Some people, they do it for the nookie...Me? I do it for the Sweet Potato Pie. That Sweet, Sweet, Sweet Potato Pie. I put a little nut milk in mine. That's how I like it. I want to spice it up too. I don't want to get too into that, not here. I think we should meet up somewhere else and share a cup of this, then we can chat it up and see where things go. Hopefully, another cup...
This does smell of sweet potato pie. Doesn't taste overly sweet, is more of an undertone to the tea though. I wish the flavor was a little stronger than the black tea.
Loved this tea!! Tastes so much better than just spices, it really has a sweet potato flavor. It's like pie in a mug... yummy
This was an interesting tea blend, deeply earthy with a slight sweetness, you could taste both the black tea as well as the sweet potato without either of them over powering the other. Drinking it plain was a little bitter, but adding some maple sugar really put this over the top for being tasty. This blend gave me an idea for a sweet potato milk tea with some toasted marshmallow on top, I can't wait to test it out!
LOVE!!! This is my favorite and I immediately bought a larger bag. I’ll be very sad the day I can’t get this in large quantities.
I taste the sweet but only smell the potato. It is an interesting tea. I added some rock sugar and needed a second cup to evaluate the flavor. Overall, I like it. I understand the reviews saying that it is earthy, but not in a pu erh way.
I was really surprised by this one, because 1.) I'm not a fan of flavored teas, and 2.) I was expecting it to taste like pumpkin spice, which I really don't like. This had a more malty flavor to it, and like other reviewers have said, tastes kind of like a Yunnan tea, or like Jin Kong Que (don't know if I'm spelling ot right) but at a lower price point. It's the kind of tea that is best enjoyed on a cold, gloomy day, with a good book, some cozy jammies, and a pair of soft fuzzy socks. :)
Not exactly a fan of sweet potato pie, but I sure am of this tea! Lightly spicy, and lightly sweet, this blend is a wonderful choice for a cup of fall flavor. It was much better than I was thinking it would be, so glad I tried it.
This was somewhat if a delightful surprise! It was like a fall hug in a mug. The spices were spot on and comforting! There was no need for sweetner, its perfectly sweet on it own
Very earthy with cinnamon and nutmeg and sweet potato. Never had a sweet potato pie in real life but I have to imagine this is what it would taste like. Good and interesting, but not an every day black tea for me. Very flavorful and creative which I appreciate.
I can't say this had much taste of sweet potato, but like southern sweet potato pie, the spices were strong. It was an okay cup.
This tea is amazing! I don’t know how they made it taste just like a sweet potato pie, but I’m pretty sure it’s witchcraft. The spices do not overpower the flavor of the sweet potato, which is refreshing. It is fabulous plain, but next time I will sneak a little bit of brown sugar into it. I must have more of this tea!
This was very interesting. It tastes EXACTLY like sweet potato pie! That being said- not sure if that's a great thing...? In a drink...? I give this 5 stars because my husband loved it! I felt it was tasty- but strange- so 4 stars for me. Love all these autumn teas though with the fall spices. Would like something with a strong nutmeg note- if anyone from Adagio is reading this...
An absolute delight! There is a creaminess to it that is unanticipated but delicious. With a smidge of milk and a pinch of sugar, it's like having a piece of pie.
If you are a fan of the David's Tea version, this is your more cost-effective but still very tasty Adagio alternative! I was thrilled since David's Sweet Potato Pie was a fall favorite in my house. Warm, sweet, and comforting, this is a solid match!
This is a nice tea for autumn. Definitely has a sweet potato nuance. Warm and wonderful on a cold day!
This tea is fantastic. It's sweet but has a distinct flavor of fall. I do feel like I can taste the sweet potato spices in it.
I really wanted to love this tea. I was teally surprised by how much you can taste the sweet potato flavor! So I give it points for that. But it could use more of a note of cinnamon or maple to give it a more cozy dessert kind of flavor. I suppose I could add my own cinnamon and that would be an improvement. I got the sample size of this tea and don't see myself ordering it again. Adagio has other fall flavor teas that I prefer.
Exceptionally tasty. I don’t really like flavored teas but this one is exceptional. I expected it to be basically pumpkin spice flavor but it really does have a nice potato flavor.
This is definitely nice with some milk and sugar. It's like a dessert tea and lets you have a nice autumnal drink. I wouldn't say it's too much like sweet potato pie itself but it's enjoyable.
This tea smells so incredibly good that when I brewed it people kept coming into the kitchen to ask what I was doing. I've only tried it black so far, but it's balanced and delightful!
Wow, what a little sweet potato powder can do for your tea cup! The cinnamon and ginger are perfectly balanced in this fall blend. It's not sweet like a pie, but it definitely makes you yearn for one. A bit earthy, but a lot of tasty.
I'm not a fan of sweet potato pie--it's a texture thing--but found this to be very nice. An earthy, well rounded tea that goes quite nicely with a bit of cream. Not too sweet and cloying and not at all gelatinous.
Great tasting fall tea. Has an aroma of maple and brown sugar. Mild tasting. I especially enjoy it with honey.
I'm a tea lover, and this tea is almost to strong for me. I didn't get much of a sweet potato flavor.
