Absolutely delicious with a tiny bit of honey for sweetness. Reminds me of a combination of sweet potato casserole, apple pie, and pumpkin spice.
Return to your southern roots! Toasty and creamy with roasted sweet potato notes, hints of cinnamon and a decadent, playful cup.

Absolutely delicious with a tiny bit of honey for sweetness. Reminds me of a combination of sweet potato casserole, apple pie, and pumpkin spice.
I like this tea and it grew on me as I continued to drink it. However, the natural sweet potato flavor has the tendency to linger as an after-flavor, which might not appeal to everyone.
Was pleasantly surprised by this uniquely flavored tea. What? Sweet potatoes in my tea? Why yes, spuds and tea seem to work well together. The sweet potato flavor lends an earthy deliciousness of a yam like flavor with a spicy compliment of ginger and cinnamon that add just enough warmth and zing to make this an interesting and satisfying cozy cuppa.
My 3 g. Ct packet had plenty of black tea leaves dotted with some brown spice bits and hay like marigold flowers. The dry tea and the brewed tea shared a sweet aroma. The spices stayed hidden in scent but came forward more with a sweetener add. I used agave to sweeten the brown liquor with a slight red hue. Brewed 14 oz. at 212*F for 3 min. and almost enjoyed the 6 to 7 oz. resteep more which had a stronger spiced presence and a subdued sweet potato flavor. An earthy taste lingered in the tea afterglow. This was a spudtacular treat to try today!
Meh, this was just okay, it was rather bitter. I wouldn’t have this tea by itself again, but I do think that it could work well in blends.
212* for 3 minutes
I don't like or eat sweet potatoes so this tea was over for me before tasting it.
This is delicious! There are a lot of flavored or 'themed' teas that to me don't truly capture what it's based off of, but this truly has a delightful sweet potato taste!
I enjoyed this mix today. It was a great way to start the day.
This was intriguing- it definitely had an earthy, cinnamon taste. I wish Inhad tried it with some brown sugar like another reviewer mentioned.
I'm a bit confused
Sweet potatoes in my tea?
It's interesting!

I Love, love, love, this tea, it tastes like cinnamon toast crunch to me, and it's just fantastic, can't believe at one point it was discontinued. Grateful for it's tasty return!!!
I was a bit worried as cinnamon in teas can be a bit overbearing. What a pleasant surprise! This tea was tasty. Just a hint of cinnamon to balance the sweet potato which blended perfectly with the tea base. I had my Communitea sample straight and it was gone before I could even thing of testing with add-ins.
So good, amazing what this company can do to a packet of tea, reminds me of my Grandmother and her amazing pie
I love the warm ginger cinnamon spices in this one! It's a winner.
This tea tastes exactly like what it is supposed to - which is a 'kudos' to the tea maker, however, it just REALLY made me want a sweet potato with butter and cinnamon sugar... and since I drink tea to NOT snack and NOT overeat, this tea isn't for me. 10/10 on accuracy, great suggestions from others to add honey or sugar (I don't do that with my tea), but due to how incredibly accurate it is, 'it's a no for me, boss'.
As someone who usually dislikes sweet potatoes I actually enjoyed this tea. It has just another spice that I felt no need to add anything to it. While I didn't add anything and found it enjoyable, I do think this cup could be turned into a pretty amazing dessert type beverage by upping the creamy texture and sweetness a bit. Definitely has more of an autumn flavor than beginning of spring though, but I understand it was supposed to be for pi day. 212° 3 min
Taste just like sweet potato, perfect for relaxing in the fall season
I can't believe I haven't reviewed this one yet. A fall favorite at my house. subtly sweet, slightly earthy, with a nuanced hint of spice. Adding a little sweetener brings out the flavors more; I've experimented with different cups of this delicious blend sweetening with sugar, brown sugar, honey and a bit of cream. Today I'm trying pure maple syrup 🍁. Delightful! Highly recommend this blend. I sampled this tea as a sneak peek from Adagio, purchased a 3 oz bag of it for my tea stash, then today enjoyed as part of the CommuniTea March 2025 box.
This is an interesting one. I like that it isn’t too much like chai and that it actually does taste like sweet potato. I drink my tea unsweetened and I feel like this tea would definitely be enhanced by adding some type of sweetener.
3 min @ 212 F: This is a great dessert tea. On its own I don't go for it as much, but with a little bit of sugar and milk or cream, it's great. The starchiness from the sweet potato really does make me think it's more than just sweet potato flavored, it's pie. There's a pastry like quality, a little bit flaky, almost buttery, and I think there's the perfect tiny hint of ginger and cinnamon that you can detect in there.
Delicious without the hassle of baking. This Sweet Potatoes Pie tea presents nicely spiced with just the right amount of cinnamon and ginger. It flavor earthy, and slightly sweetened most likely from the cinnamon. There is a sort of creaminess and smoothness feel in the mouth as you sip. Quite fulfilling, but now I want pie. I really enjoyed this blend and have ordered some for my stash. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this blend before now.
It's CommuniTEA Pi day celebration a day early! And I haven't reviewed this tea, yet! Been loving this 'Resurrection Tea!' Sweet Potato Pie Tea brings all of the elements of cozy, hygge vibes anytime of year. Make a dessert-y cuppa..with Creme and Sweetening of your choice!
This tea smells lovely, like gingerbread cookies, to me. The flavor did not impress me terribly, but it is pleasant nonetheless. Perhaps I used too much water for my particular portion packet, but I hoped for a stronger flavor to match the aroma. Overall, enjoyable enough - malty, smooth, subtly spiced, with a touch of pleasant earth - but I likely wouldn't bother again.
The way that this tastes like a baked sweet potato is absolutely wild to me. Spicy but smooth and sweet. A lovely and curious cup of tea.
Hmmm, this is a very interesting cuppa. I'm not really a fan of sweet potato pie, but I do like this tea. It's different. I probably wouldn't order it on a regular basis, but maybe just once a year when I'm ready to indulge in autumnal vibes. I feel that adding a bit of honey enhances the flavor quite a bit making it more enjoyable for myself, but it also tasted sweet enough without it.
This blend has a nice black tea base with a lot of cinnamon and some warming ginger. I didn’t care for the sweet potato flavor though. It tasted too earthy to me without the rich sweet potato flavor I expected.
I wasn’t sure what to expect with the combination of flavors but I was very pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t too earthy, just the right amount of spice, with a slight sweetness. I added a little local honey and it was absolutely delicious.
Another fun take on a black tea. It has a light cinnamon flavour, but also a nice earthier flavour that makes this more mellow than some of the other cinnamon teas on here.
This tea is pure magic in a cup! Sweet Potato Pie is easily one of the best teas I’ve ever had—it’s rich, toasty, and incredibly smooth, with the perfect balance of roasted sweet potato, warm cinnamon, and creamy decadence. Every sip feels like a cozy, nostalgic treat, capturing the essence of a homemade Southern dessert.
And if you haven’t tried it as a steamer yet, you’re missing out! With frothed milk, it transforms into a silky, indulgent delight that tastes like a dessert latte—without the guilt. Whether brewed straight or made into a steamer, this tea is an absolute must-try!
This is a nice tea and I enjoy it with a little honey and cream. I've discovered that I don't prefer much of a cinnamon taste in my tea, and you can taste the cinnamon. It's not bad, just a note per personal taste.
This is the first tea from Adagio I did not enjoy in the 15 years I've been a customer - the sweet potato flavor is cloying and artificial-tasting, and the flavoring is just too heavy.
Taste amazingly accurate, like sweet potatoes and black tea... I accidentally let it steep for 10min and it was still a great cup!
I’m in Louisiana and this tea is IT! A perfect fall tea too. The name had me skeptical but oh my this one is a favorite
This is a nice blend. It definitely hits the promised sweet potato pie notes. Creamy, sweet, and warming.
Unexpectedly became one of my favourite teas. This with a small splash of vanilla creamer and my morning is made. The tea is sweet enough to go without additional sweetener, but even adding a touch of sugar won't subdue the sweet potato taste.
Pretty okay, wasn't my favorite fall flavor but was rather fall tasting and earthy with a nice sweet potato flavor. May try again with some cream.
So good! This may be my new go-to fall tea, a cut above pumpkin spice. The sweet potato flavor is spot-on.
The flavor is delicious - you can really use just a tsp for a cup - this one fluffs up a LOT. Really delicious even without sweetener.
Not for me. This was more vegetal and bitter than I expected. While it didn't taste exactly like a sweet potato, it did give the vibes of a root vegetable pulled from the dirt.
Oh my gosh I totally love this. It smells and tastes just like a sweet potato. Very yummy, great alternative to pumpkin teas. I drank this with a little honey and vanilla almond milk. Enjoy! 😃
the cinnamon flavor was a bit too strong for me personally
I was a little disappointed with this one, honestly. I can't put my finger on what part was why though. I made it a few different ways and just couldn't get into it.
Not my favorite. The flavoring did taste like sweet potato but there is just something else to it that isn't hitting right for me
Adored this tea! I found the flavors very pleasant, a fall favorite
A bit of an unusual tea but it's pretty unique and I think works well enough. The sweet potato aroma and flavor comes through but I find it's pretty heavy on the astringency.
didn't get much sweet potato as i would have liked, but still enjoyable! a bit nutty, full bodied, flavorful, just not sweet potato. i've read some folks have mixed this with cinnamon spice and i imagine that really kicks it off, maybe try that!
New favorite fall tea! This has a great sweet potato flavor with the sweet flavors of cinnamon and ginger. Highly recommend.
This tea is amazing. It tastes just like a sweet potato pie. Its a great fall flavor. It would also be a great middle of summer flavor especially when you can't get sweet potato pie.
This tea really surprised me. I wasn't sure what to expect but I love it and bought a larger portion of it already. It's mild and sweet with a hint of spice. I added the vanilla whipped honey and it made a decadent cup. Yum!
I was surprised to find a sweet potato pie tea, so as a fan of sweet potatoes and a lover of tea, I just knew I had to try this. Truth be told, the sweet potato flavor wasn't very strong. This needed a little bit more sweet potato flavor and if pecans were added, the nuttiness would have truly heightened the flavor of this tea. The cinnamon and ginger are blended well so that this is not a super spicy tea. I would still recommend giving it a try.
Well, slap yo mama. It tastes just like grandma's sweet potato pie! I admit, it was a bit odd drinking my pie instead of eating it with copious amounts of cool whip piled upon it, but it's a lot less calories than the real thing.
