Summer Rose Customer Reviews

Our Summer Rose tea invokes the sweet lingering fragrance of late summer roses winding up a garden trellis. Mellow and deliciously floral, this rose tea is balanced with the bright briskness of a Ceylon black tea.

The rose flavoring is perfect for this nice black tea.

★★★★★

Wonderful smooth taste. Perfect with Splenda and a touch of milk! Will definitely be buying it again.

Sooooo disappointed with this. I got a sample of this tea last year, and it was AMAZING. It had such a good aroma and flavor, I ran out after only a few weeks but thought about getting more almost daily. Finally I had some money to spend, and bought a larger bag of the tea... And I might as well have gone to the grocery and bought totally plain black tea. There's no rose flavor at all. You can smell a vague hint of rose when it's brewing but it's not strong at all. I don't have a lot of money and it's really disappointing to splurge a little and get something like this. I'm on my fifth attempt at brewing a cup, and altering how much tea and the temp, and nothing has brought out any more rose flavor.

★★★★★

I drink it in the fall, winter, and spring, too. It's nicely aromatic, with the flavor and scent of the rose really coming through.

★★★★★

Not even sure why I like this but I do. Still new to loose leaf tea and this “rose” to the top of my list in flavor.

★★★★☆

This is one of the better rose blends that I have had. I loved how floral forward this blend was without overpowering the black tea base.

Given as a gift to a rose lover, this brought a smile.

★★★★★

This is my favorite tea. The rose comes out beautifully and does not taste too bitter. It is very aromatic.

★★★★★

Really good but the black tea overpowers the rose some

★★★★★

Really nice, but a bit much - I use far less tea to water than recommended just to counter the power of the rose. This would make a great cold brew iced tea! The cold and the ice would chill and mellow the flavors better than a hot cup.

★★★★★

This is the pickiest tea I own, which is saying a lot. Watch your brew time carefully or the tea will become too strong and bitter. When you get it right, you will be rewarded with a lovely cup of rose tea. It also makes heavenly rose icecream.

Gifted to a friend who said 'the rose flavor is noticeable but not overpowering.'

Floral and more delicate than some black rose teas I have tried (R of T, Lovejoy's). If you want a blast of rose, this is not quite the right tea for you. If you want a lilting, floral, smooth rose infused cup, this is a win!

★★★★☆

Not a huge fan of black tea, but wanted to try this one because of the rose. The flavor of the rose was lovely, but still not a huge fan of black tea. I wish there was an herbal tea with the strong rose flavor.

The Summer Rose makes the most delicious and refreshing iced tea. I had bought a sample, but I needed to buy a bigger bag. So delicious!!!

I served this at my wedding and it has a special place in my heart. The rose scent is far stronger than the flavor, don’t let it deter you. It is a lovely blend!

This might be a new favorite. The rose taste is definitely strong, but I love it for that.

Normally I'm not a huge fan of flavored teas, but sampling this in CommuniTea left me hankering for more. On the nose this tea is heavily perfumed, but the right balance of rose flavoring and malty black tea is struck perfectly when brewed. The simple floral rose taste is elevated by the faint sweetness from just a splash of milk, no sugar needed.

Beautiful aroma and it blends well. I especially love using it for honey and milk tea. Just warm milk and water with honey to taste, a splash of vanilla, and sprinkle some cinnamon. After it reaches 212 degrees steep it with the tea. It is perfect for a evening drink before bed. I will always have this tea in cabinet.

This tea is heavenly! I purchased it after having a rose tea latte at a wonderful cafe and sweet shop and becoming enchanted with the flavor, and this blend exceeded my expectations. It is the perfect balance of black tea and rose flavors, and with the addition of a little sweetener and a bit of almond milk (or your milk of choice), makes the most indulgent, enticing afternoon treat. Even better served with a little baklava or other sweet made with rose water. This has instantly become one of my favorites.

Rosy aroma and appearance in the packet. Brews a black tea color with faint rose aroma. Not bad but not exciting. Probably better for someone who really likes rose and black tea.

This tea is hands down my favorite. It has a lovely bouquet and I found a little honey (not sugar) pairs amazing wit this.

I tried this tea with my communiTEA sampler and I immediately fell in love! I'm already a sucker for floral flavors (even my energy drink of choice is flavored with rose and grapefruit), so this tea fits right in. If you like floral teas, this one is a knockout!

I drink this rose tea all year round. It is fragrant and mild, and tastes nothing like soap.

This is a lovely tea. I nice, heady rose flavor that is strong, but not too strong.

★★★★★

Very, very floral-- perfect late-summer flavor for me. Strong enough to get several cups out of one serving if you're the type to re-steep.

Smooth tea that balances black tea and rosy flavor. You can definitely taste the rose. I bought this as a replacement for Gypsy Rose Black Tea since Zhena's Gypsy Tea permanently discontinued and it was satisfactory.

I had it hot with half&half, cold brewed overnight, and cold brewed with half&half. It was a little bitter when cold brewed, but drinking it with half&half masked this/smoothed it out. It might not have been bitter if it had been cold brewed for shorter time.

I love black tea with rose, but can have a hard time finding it. This tea was really lovely, but pretty heavy on the floral.

★★★★★

I really like this tea. It has a strong rose flavor, and is excellent with honey and some milk

This is a great afternoon tea. The rose smell is lovely but not overpowering and it tastes great with a bit of sugar.

The aroma of Rose really dominates on this without words feeling too much like your grandma's laundry. Nice, rich Rose flavor and almost no bitterness

This is the perfect summer tea! I highly recommend

This is one of my favorite teas for summer sipping. The rose aroma really comes through without being soapy as long as it's not oversteeped.

★★★★★

I love this. The rose balances nicely with with black tea. I had it hot the other day and enjoyed it and made a pitcher iced today, which is fantastic. Recommended if you like rose. :)

I like this tea, but I'd already been enjoying a non-Adagio rose tea with a green tea base, and honestly I like it better. I think the black tea is too strong a flavor for the rose flavor and petals-- the two tastes don't meld the way I'd like them to. Nonetheless, I give this 3.75 stars so I'm rounding up to 4. Maybe the Lychee Rose Green will suit me better.

This is floral (obviously) and smooth. I Love it.

The tea has a pleasant floral fragrance prior to steeping. I take a sip and I realize that I now know what roses taste like! This tea tastes like it smells. It is a pretty amber color and mild. Lovely.

Not my personal fave, but a good tea overall! You should try it!

★★★★★

This makes a wonderful hot or iced tea. Has a natural rose bouquet, delicate - but not too subtle with a hint of tea to balance it. It's like taking in a fragrant rose garden. 1 tea bag makes 2 cups of delicious tea.

★★★★☆

Good if you like strong rose flavors. Very floral with a little bitterness
