I like a good rose tea and this is definitely in my rotation. It wasn't over powering and it smells heavenly.
Our Summer Rose tea invokes the sweet lingering fragrance of late summer roses winding up a garden trellis. Mellow and deliciously floral, this rose tea is balanced with the bright briskness of a Ceylon black tea.

I like a good rose tea and this is definitely in my rotation. It wasn't over powering and it smells heavenly.
Very floral aromas, obviously. I actually preferred it iced with a pinch of sugar over hot.
Summer rose is a very classic, old fashioned tea. It's not something that I crave but it's not awful either. If you like traditional teas, I would recommend that you try this tea.
I adore rose, and cold steeped, this stuff is magic. I like it with a little sweetener so it tastes a bit like candied roses.
My wife and I enjoyed this tea. Would purchase again
This is a unique tea! It is special enough to have on hand even though I have a lot to choose from. Definitely try a sample. you won't be sorry!
I love rose black tea and this ranks up there with the very best I've tried. The tea make a soft cup with gentle rose notes and goes very well as a breakfast tea and a wonderful afternoon tea. Also surprisingly refreshing when chilled.
i received this sample as a gift, and i was so pleased by the pay out. it smells wonderful, and tastes just as good! i'll have to buy a bigger size, next time.
A great black tea with a sensitive side. The floral essence is noticeable but I don't find it overbearing (and I'm sensitive to smells).
The tea tastes good on its own (steeped lightly ~1-1.5 mins) or mixed with a smoother tea like others have recommended.
I'd like to try some iced tea with this, I think with some mint it could be very refreshing!
I got this for my mother as a replacement for her beloved Twinings Taste of Summer tea. It's not quite an exact match, but it still gets the feel across of a lovely summer tea, perfect for relaxing in the afternoon.
I got this tea because I LOVE the version the Republic of Tea has to offer but I do not love their price (or their business nearly as much as Adagio, but that's a different matter). Unfortunately the two didn't stack up. If I had never tried the other tea, this one would be just fine. Unfortunately it just doesn't have the same intensity of rose flavor. Still good though!
My mom raised roses when I was a child. The aroma and taste of this tea takes me back to those childhood days. It has such a nice subtle rose flavor. This is definitely a family favorite!
I was extremely disappointed with this tea. I am a regular Adagio customer and was so excited to try Summer Rose because I love everything rose-flavored. Unfortunately, this tea includes 'rose flavor' as well as rose petals, when just having the rose petals would have sufficed. The 'rose flavor' tastes artificial and perfume-like--not something that you want to eat. I was pretty overwhelmed by the fragrance just while steeping the tea, but I forced myself to try it because I didn't understand how something with roses in it could be bad. It's terrible. I'm not going to finish drinking this cup and I'm going to throw the rest of it away.
Very nice smelling tea. The flavor is great too. Very rich yet, light. It is very soothing. For flavor comparison (if you never had a rose tea before) it is similar to jasmine tea. So if you don't like jasmine, I'm not sure if you would like this.
The first sip was a little unexpected as it was strong, but had a light sweetness from the rose petals. I would recommend this has a 'dessert' after lunch or dinner.
I was expecting more of a rose flavor based on the reviews and the smell of the tea before brewing. Adding rose petal jam for a sweetener helped.
The beautiful rose fragrance transports you right into the garden.
Very fresh and aromatic!!! One of my best favorite from the company .
Lovely, lush rose flavor on a flavorful base. It tastes like summer in the Portland International Rose Test Garden! This tea is good on its own, but I always blend it with other flavors. Cream, chai, jasmine, earl gray, chrysanthemums, the possibilities are endless. I love this fruity-floral flavor.
I mixed this with cream tea, and it was awesome. I mixed it with chocolate chip and it was fabulous. So many wonderful flavors! This is great on it's own as a sweet ice too.
Hands down, this is my favorite tea of all time. It smells amazing, tastes perfect. I drink it every day.
This is a fantastic tea! It's become one of my new favorites. You can definitely taste the roses - yum!
I love rose in tea, and this is no exception! The floral, almost fruity taste and punch of black mixes well. This really is a great summer tea.
I'd had the summer rose in several fandom blends and was curious to try it by itself. It has a strong aroma out of the bag, but the taste doesn't overwhelm you too much. Think I prefer it in blends versus by itself, because it is still quite potent - but that's very much a matter of personal preference...
Excellent as a hot tea, but I also found it to be delicious as an iced tea. Definitely tastes amazing and makes me feel 'cleansed' after a cup.
The tea leaves smell very rosy, but the brewed tea doesn't. The finished product is bland, and I suspect it has a lower caffeine content since the ratio of rose petals to tea is so high. (Maybe you like lower caffeine content, but for me it's not a selling point.) Next time I want a rosy tea, I'll skip the black tea part and just buy an herbal that's 100 rose bits.
Tastes exactly how a rose smells - light, sweet, and automatically makes you smile!
Loved this. I mixed it with my Angel's Dream tea for a wonderful floral cup with some sugar and milk. Definitely getting more when it's hot tea season again.
I thought it was delicious! A little bitter for the aftertaste, but that could have been my brewing. It smelled absolutely lovely though!
This is a really fine, light tea with strong floral notes. As the name says, it's the kind of gentle tea you can enjoy on a warm day. I prefer darker and spicier flavors, but this tea is a favorite among friends visiting for an afternoon.
Such a yummy tea! Definitely going to be buying more, especially now during the summer.
The rose flavor is more strong than you might think, but it's not overpowering. Great with some light snacks .)
This tea is great. You can taste the floral, but it isn't overpowering.
Definitely one of my new favorites, great hot or cold!
It tastes like you would expect - roses. It's fairly well balanced, I've had jasmine teas that tasted like I was drinking straight perfume, but this isn't overpowering like that. If you're into floral teas, you'll probably enjoy it.
A nice lovely floral tea, very heavily scented. Brew lightly if you do not wish for an overpowering rose taste.
I enjoyed this tea. The strongest notes in it come from the black tea that forms its base. The rose is very subtle. It's perceptible, but a bit weak. It's more of a scent in the tea than specifically a taste. Granted, too much rose flavor would probably be like trying to drink a florist's fridge, which this tea does NOT do, but perhaps just a little more rose would have been good. Brewing longer wouldn't be a help as the black tea flavor gets stronger, overpowering it.
So basically it was super good and not what I was expecting. It doesn't taste like perfume to me, but I like rose flavored things so if you're not into that, it might not be the best pick.
Was hoping for something as good as Valentines blend. This is quite close, but rose fragrance is too overwhelming for me. I'd prefer more subtle tones. Anyway, quite good.
A little too much rose flavor, but it was very high quality. I really liked the flavor but it was a little overwhelming.
I wasn't a fan of this tea, I let my sister taste it and she liked it so much I gave her the tea along with a mini-teapot steeper.
This one was alright, but just didn't stand out. Very basic, and not much of the rose flavor was there.
I'm not a huge drinker of hot black teas, but I liked this a lot. I served it to a friend and tried some myself, and I loved it! (So did my friend - we each had two cups of tea and she chose this both times!) The floral scent is just right - not too strong, which I often find is a problem with flavored teas. The flavor is great with Ceylon. Rose and Ceylon tea seemed to work together like jasmine and green tea! And the rose petals made for a pretty presentation, which really does make a difference in the overall experience. I'm going to try it with cream tomorrow.
A nice subtle blend - very calming and mellow! Delicious!
good, I'm not really into the rose flavor, but this tea is good, you can taste the rose but also you can taste the tea. both flavors blend good.
The rose scent was a little strong for me, but then again I am a little sensitive.
Very floral, and brings a calm quiet to me when I sip this tea. It reminds me of rose water, which reminds me of a grandmother who loved and doted on us as children. Remarkably, I love to drink this tea at work - it must release endorphins for me or something, because my day immediately seems to get better when I take a sip. Fantastic tea experience for me. If you are not a fan of floral teas, you might want to re-think this one. But I can't imagine why you wouldn't be a fan of floral teas! PS...mix in a little Wild Strawberry and pour over ice - instant summer afternoon in a glass.
I've spent ages looking for a tea to replace a rosehip blend that had been discontinued from my usual store years ago. This didn't quite make the cut (I wish the rose came through more after it's brewed) but it's lush and delicious, and with a little dollop of honey to bring out the floral flavours it certainly scratches the itch.
Very 'pretty' tasting tea! I am a huge fan of rose black tea you find in Asian grocery stores, but this Summer Rose beat all of them out. The smell alone is intoxicating!
I love rose flavored things and this tea is one of my favorites. Bright and floral - a perfect pick me up.
