All ingredients appear to be present, but no noticeable aroma upon opening the package.
Recommended steeping time and temperature: 3 minutes, at 212°F. I steeped for 3 minutes at 190°F to keep potential bitterness at bay, in 11oz of water, with 1 tsp Adagio black tea honey and 1 tsp of rock/tea sugar.

I was disappointed that there was no real flavor when sipped hot. It did improve as it cooled, but to me it tasted mostly like the honey. As it cooled further, more passion fruit came through. It did leave a bit of a, not unpleasant, aftertaste. On the whole, this was a rather meh tea for me. I wouldn’t refuse it if it were offered, but I most likely would not purchase it on my own. 3.25 stars

Strong and bitter. Perhaps I needed a lower temperature and shorter steeping time.

UPDATED from 11/24/20: A sweet smell emits from the CommuniTEA packet filled with dark, dry black tea leaves, pale yellow skinny marigold petals, and small pieces of apple & passionfruit. They all steep (at a lower temp to avoid bitterness) into an amber elixir as the leaves expand into graceful dark greens and the fruits plump up. This has a sweet fruity flavor as well as a tart astringency that continues into the finish. The fruit flavor is slightly citrusy, and has a soft, melon-like mouthfeel. Adding ¼ teaspoon of sweetener (to 10 oz) and some heavy whipping cream makes this a very sweet tasting tea with a slight astringent finish. This is a full flavored tea, and surprisingly seems to get fruitier tasting as it cools. For those who love passion fruit, this is a delight! (3 mins @ 200ºF + sweetener and cream).

This tea tastes like plain black tea. I am totally missing any Passionfruit flavor.

It's alright, it has a bit of an odd aftertaste though. I don't really know how to describe it. (Cold brewed for 10 hours)

★★★★★

The flavor is great alone, but use this in my 'crazy teas', where I mix many flavors together to find that perfect mix.

★★★☆☆

Just okay. Not much flavor came through in my sample. I love passionfruit and was hoping to taste more of it in here.

I love this as an iced tea! I am obsessed with everything passionfruit, and even though this doesn't necessarily scream the sour part of the passionfruit it is a solid choice for summer!

Good black tea, but not really getting much passionfruit flavor.

I really like the flavor of this tea as the fruit comes through nicely.

I absolutely love passionfruit, so I couldn't pass this one up. I can smell the passion fruit as it was brewing, but it is not my favorite. It was a bit bitter for me, but I will try this as an iced tea with some honey.

★★★★★

great tea both hot and iced I like to sweeten mine

★★★★★

Very fruity and refreshing. It makes a great iced tea.

★★★★★

Tasted just like passionfruit. Had Excellent taste.

★★★★★

I ordered a sample specifically to make iced tea, hoping to find a tea similar to one I used to get from a favorite restaurant. This is it, delicious iced. I don't think this is a flavor I would enjoy hot, but makes a delightful slightly-fruity ice tea. I will be ordering more!

Delicious with a very potent passion fruit flavor. This is my husband‘s absolute favorite!

I had high hopes for this one, because I love passion fruit, but it was more of a black tea with one note flavor, then something I was really hoping for.

I made my Passionfruit tea with butterfly peaflowers, dandelion, hibiscus, mango, orange peels, rose hips, rose petals, and fruit tisanes honey and it was DELICIOUS! Definitely a new favorite tea of mine!! Each sip was packed with flavor and I wish I'd had like 3 more cups ready to go. Haha!!! I would highly recommend this tea!

Super tasty and yet the fruit is a bit more subtle. Which could be me not being used to passionfruit as a flavor but delicious regardless.

★★★☆☆

Very light on the passionfruit, but still refreshing. I would steep for a minute more if possible

The loose tea smells fruity, kind of reminds me of kool aid.

This is a very pleasant single flavor black tea, when steeped at $195° for 3 minutes it brings out the flavor of the passion fruit without excessive bitterness. It is something well worth adding to the test.

This is best as an ice tea, but it is not as good as Mango.

Great iced in the afternoon. I m not a fan of hot fruity teas @adagioteas

The passionfruit flavor was done really well with just the right amount of fruity flavor.

This one wasn't one of my favorites - could be just because I'm not a huge fan of the flavor of passionfruit.

I first ordered this tea 7-8 years ago and fell in love with it. I recently ordered it again and it's even better than I remember. I find it best to let the water boil then cool for a few minutes before pouring it over the tea leaves.

I love passion fruit teas as it turns out. This has been a happy discovery through CommuniTEA and my first one was an herbal, Passion Fruit Tango with apricot and cinnamon. Today’s tea was my second and just as enjoyable with a Ceylon tea base. My CT packet had a sweet aroma of mango mixed with a more distinct scent of apricot. I loved it at first sniff. I brewed carefully at 195* for 3 minutes in a 12 oz. mug since I had the usual 3 grams/2 tsp. of tea in my packet. The golden brown liquor had a very mild scent compared to that of the dry tea. No bitterness was detected, just a pleasant astringency from the black tea base.

I added honey to the hot tea which brightened and brought out more of the passion fruit flavor. I set aside some in a mini cup and chilled it in the fridge overnight. Iced, it was a delightfully fruity flavored tea with a taste that was slightly stronger than mango but gentler than apricot with a hint of kiwi flavor. I have trouble pinpointing the taste but if you like mango, peach or apricot then this tea is a good one to try. A very flavorful 8 oz. resteep was possible too. The fruity taste had surprising staying power in the second steep. The many flavored apple pieces in my packet may have helped with that. This was a very enjoyable tea, sipped hot or cold!

Not a fan of passion fruit so no surprise that I don’t like this. I usually like Adagio’s fruit flavored teas though so figured I would try it. The tea was more bitter than the other black teas. Not sure if the passion fruit is adding to this bitterness. The flavor was off and tasted artificial to me. I tried this hot and cold. Bitterness may improve if cold brewed?? Steeped 195º for 3 mins.

This made a pleasant, slightly fruity cup of tea, but I didn’t really get “passionfruit” from it. I was expecting a bit more tartness, I guess - unusual for me since I usually can’t handle much of that - but I didn’t find it. Just a a mild fruity flavor and a bit of astringency from the black tea.

This tasted like a normal black the fruitiness was lacking, I may need to buy a smaple to get the true full passionfruit experience. I'm going to put it in the fridge overnight see if that brings out some fruit flavor.

Enjoyed as a CommuiTEA sample. Sweet aroma when opening the packet. I steeped the tea in 190°F water x 2 minutes. There was no bitterness noted from the Ceylon. The passion fruit flavor had to be coaxed out with a little sweetener. Very enjoyable sipped hot. I think it would be good iced, too. Holds up well for a second steep.

I lucked out with my CommuniTea sample as passion fruit was present in scent and taste. Brewed at a lower temp to control the bitterness from Ceylon. The result was a strong, black tea enhanced with the tart tones of passion fruit. 1st steep I had warm, 2nd steep chilled and both were delicious.

A lovely fruit flavored black tea. It will stand up to cream and a touch of honey enhances the natural sweetness. It really shines as an iced tea to quench a thirst on a hot afternoon.

I enjoyed my CommuniTEA packet chilled. I brewed at 195F for 3 minutes. The black tea was nice, no bitterness noted. The passionfruit was slightly perfumy, but not strong enough to dislike it. I’d go 3.5 stars rounded up on this one. Happy sipping!

I cold brewed this tea and it was fantastic. Fruity, no bitterness from the black tea. I'm cold brew all the way with these fruity teas. Can't wait to get the pitcher I ordered.

I could only truly smell the fruit, nothing tasted even slightly of passion fruit. The sugar needed to make the bitterness less apparent wasn't good. I didn't put any milk so I didn't drown whatever fruit there was supposed to be

Not my favorite flavored black tea. It's pretty good. I liked it best iced. I don't know what passionfruit is supposed to taste like. The fruit flavor was very subtle so if you prefer a lighter fruit flavor, you'll probably like this.

When I tried this hot last year I didn’t care for it at all. It was very bitter and not much fruit taste. This year I decided to cold brew it. It was definitely better than last year but it’s still a meh for me. Not much bitterness but the fruit is indistinguishable for me. Adagio has plenty other black teas with fruit that are better.

More bitter than I'd have hopped, with the black tea shouldering out any presence that the passionfruit or apple pieces could have hoped to bring. I'd hoped for more!

I first thought meh. It's okay. I like strong teas, but it didn't really taste like passionfruit to me. I chilled it and it was fantastic. Still didn't taste like passionfruit to me but I really enjoyed the taste of it.

It definitely didn’t taste like passion fruit, but for what it was, it did taste nice cold-brewed. Just like a basic black tea, though.

This was a very surprising tasty tea. I was sad I didn't have any fruit pieces in my packet. However, the flavor profile came alive once i added a small amount of sugar. I did cold brew this one for only about 2 hrs in 4 oz of water so it has the strength it needs. I really am enjoying it cold on ice.
